On paper the 99-02 camaro/trans am ls1 performs the same times as a 2011-14 charger/challenger.. not bad for a car almost twice the size.. this race proves that. I've owned both as well.
Dragracin 95 I honestly never thought that the 4th gen camaros were that fast but now I know I was wrong they put up a good race! 👌🏽

Camaro is definitely the faster car. Owned both cars and the LS1 and the lightweight 4th gen platform takes it everytime. Charger R/T is nicer tho and performs well for what it is
Yes sir you are correct. I was out having fun and this race came along and presented itself. I honestly thought he was gonna pull on me. But the car is far from stock now 😈

@@bnrz28 I drive a stock z28 as well. The whole reason I ended up here was my buddy just bought a 2007 charger R/T. He thinks his automatic charger will gap me. I showed him this and he has been salty ever since. Thanks 🙏

What gears you got in it?..... May want to look into the 3.92's and torque converter
A Hernandez 2.65s and yeah I’m planning on putting some 3.91s but it won’t be for a while
Yea my charger had the same gears and my car wouldnt pull worth shit when i hit 3rd gear .....now i have a 2015 ram with the 3.92's and its a big difference
Hopefully I can get them soon but they are a bit pricey so I have to save up a bit
Yeah i thought about changing them but you right they expensive...look sround online i had found that were bought but never installed at some good prices .....either way hell of a build u got going on....will stay posted for more videos bro👍👍👍👍

Mine is stock only thing.done is the muffler or "over axle" (I'm the 02 camaro) . his I believe is cammed and headers

@@DelGTAGrndrs ya used car prices are nuts man it’s not even right… I bought this Camaro in 2018 with 140k miles and a virgin car no mods what’s so ever for 4,000$ now the same car goes for at least 15k 🤦♂️

@@bnrz28 that was a damn good race against a cammed charger.
My buddy has a 2013 daytona and it's all stock, it does "feel" slower but some newer/bigger cars just feel that way.....we haven't raced but I was figuring with a nice cam and stall he would beat me.

@@2012Z28Camaro ya it was real good race man. He has a lot of stuff done to his and mine was stock. Ya these cars do real good for wha they are. They are lighter than the chargers like u said so it’s a big advantage. We were supposed to race again when I started putting bolt ons but have since went another route to doing a turbo build on it lol. What’s done to your car
@@bnrz28 my old camaro just had some bolt ons and a tune, springs/shocks, upgraded brakes, SLP exhaust. It was an auto car, but its in pieces so I wanna do a big cube N/A build for it just for cruising.
My current DD is a all stock 02 SS 6spd. I'm gonna throw all my old planned build parts at it. Tsp 228r, worked 241s or 243s, LTs, 18x10.5 c5Z06s, bmr or strano springs and then just chassis stiffening for autocross and roadcourses.
