But for me I would never use them personally because right next to this dove deodorant there is literally 10 other different types, all packaged in plastic. But maybe if they see people buying into this than dove will try more sustainable packaging for more of their products. The deodorant section is taking up half a side in my Walmart already 😅.

I wonder why they would make a refillable deodorant but send the refills in plastic? Because the whole refill is encased in the plastic it's a fair amount of plastic. It's recycled which is good but surely they could find another way to protect the refill. The whole point is to be creating less plastic waste.
I wish there was less plastic as well. I like that they are using mostly recycled plastic. But I do think there could be a better solution or a way to use less plastic.

I so wanted to love this product and I like the smell and the feel but within 3 days of using it the deodorant part broke off from the base of the refill and there’s no way to fix it without buying a whole new refill :(
I'm super sensitive to scents and ive been using the cucumber one for four days with no rash we'll see if that lasts the full week. I recommend applying it at night bc it's less likely to rub off and it's not as uncomfortable. If you're worried about it not being as strong it's supposed to be a 48hr deodorant so i think applying it at night instead of the morning works totally fine for me. One con I have is that the plastic base seems to be separating from the deodorant stick. I don't know if it'll break off or not but since it's only been a week im concerned
All the keywords u said about the texture is such a seller to me! So many natural deos have a very dry formula and its so uncomfortable to apply. Might try this out

Darn! I know it can be really tough. Have you tried Meow Meow Tweet’s baking soda free formula? Everyone’s skin is so different so it’s tough recommending deodorant. But it’s worked well for me! Dove’s refillable deodorant is a big upfront cost. You could try the same formula in plastic just to see if it works. Then if it does, you could get the starter. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s an option 😊
I love the thought and the fact that they are going in the right direction, but I experienced irritation and peeling of my sling as well 🥺 I didn’t use the sensitive one since I normally don’t have problems, but this gave me the same irritation as the Myro one and it’s really a bummer..

i really was hoping this deodorant could’ve worked. i have always loved the smell & texture of dove deodorant. sometimes i even want to give in & buy it but i stopped wearing deodorant in 2014 i have experimented & i have had irritation under my arms. people say since it’s aluminum free then you will sweat LOL it’s funny people are afraid to sweat now a days but i’m okay with it. all i drink is water anyway & i dislike my armpits feeling wet & moist …i will continue to use key limes under my arms. it works for me.
I'm enjoying this deodorant so far! I don't have sensitive skin but I've been using the coconut + pink jasmine, and it smells so nice. A little overwhelming at first though! Also hoping for some better packaging options for the refills to avoid as much plastic as possible.

i have the mens version, personally i don't use it because less plastic, of course thats a plus but its not that big of a thing that i care about, the thing is its very easy to use, when you need more just buy a refill and put it in, throw away the old refill and you dont have to have multiple things of deodorant lying around, i also like how its just very small, so i can store it more easily.

im watching your video after breaking my deodorant refill that came with this dove deodorant case. i was too excited and didn’t read the instructions thinking oh this will be easy! it wasn’t, i took off the bottom of the refill and tried jamming it into place and broke the deodorant stick off into the plastic cap. don’t do this people!! have to buy a new refill already :(
I’ve been on a hint to try new deodorant. I love little seed farm. I have native now but I have to order a new brand unfortunately it’s just not for me. I’m trying nuud next. For now what’s been working: alum stone sprayed with fat and the moon acid base.

Mine broke after 1 week. I guess I applied too much pressure. Unlike the plastic bottles, you cannot shove this stick back into the twist up and continue to use. I’m having to hold it with my hand, apply, the wash the product off my hand. Feels so gross! So expensive compared to previous 2pk roll ups I used to get. Smells great. Doesn’t last long, continually reapplying. Very disappointed.

Interesting concept. But I use "No Pong", no plastic, last 24hr for me (no joke), a single tin last for over 4 months. You do have to use finger to apply but I got used to it. Hands down the most effective deodorant I've ever used in my life.
I’m not sure if I will because it has baking soda in it. Unfortunately, my skin is pretty sensitive to it. But, I have heard a lot of people say that they’re loving the Hey Humans deodorant so far! It’s definitely a great option for a lot of people!

I love this product as far as using it goes, I personally haven’t had any reactions to it. However, about 2 or 3 days after purchasing the starter kit…the deodorant part broke off while I was applying it. Thought maybe I did something wrong, so I purchased a refill…and the same thing happened😩 I’m thinking maybe the room temperature matters, so on my final refill I’m going to try placing it in a cooler space and hope for the best🤞🏽 of this doesn’t work, I’m gonna try the refillable version by “Secret”! I will definitely be contacting Dove about this b/c at this point I’ve spent close to $30😖

Thanks do doing this! I just saw this in stores and I was so excited. I use secret clinical strength and I have never been happy with an eco friendly sub so I’ve stopped trying. I wish Dove would offer their stronger anti perspirants as a refill for this, and I’d be into it! Also, good to know that it goes on wet. That was my problem with another refillable option. Not a fan.

Personally this deo didnt last 30 minutes on me. Made me smell like bo and cucumber. If a deodorant isn’t working for you try to detox your pits the night before you put it on and maybe it will work for you. I’m gonna try it and see if that does anything
If they added antiperspirant or even did the one that doesn't show on 100 colors I would definitely buy one. It'd be even better to me if it was the same weight as well.
I just bought this and thought...."The refill is plastic dummies. Use cardboard instead." Also, why is the stainless steel case so dang heavy?! Make it out of aluminum or something. After the first refill is used up I dont plan on buying anymore. Im so disappointed at the lack of thoughtful design on the part of Dove. It's 15 freakin dollars for something designed so dumb.
I really wanted to love this, but I've had three of the deodorant nubs fall off, and I'm being gentle! I think I need something that still has the tube inside.
Is it 98% post consumer recycled plastic? Or just "recycled plastic"? If it's not post consumer it just means they are taking waste plastic from the manufacturing process and reentering it into the manufacturing stream. And they have probably been doing that all along. While that is good, it's still greenwashing and sometimes companies charge extra for that little tidbit on their branding because you think you are doing something good for the environment when you buy the product, when really it's the same process they have always used and they aren't diverting plastic from landfills (or worse) to make the product. Also, you didn't mention how much product is in each refill vs the regular throw away stick. And I'd be willing to bet that they have done something to the formula to make it get used up faster.
The container is nice but this is a terrible design. All that engineering on the container and refill package but the deodorant will break off the base. They dropped the ball on this one. Now I see target has them 50% off.
I need to clarify this even if I’m a year late. This is not for sensitive skin nor is it hypoallergenic because it has fragrance lol. These all have fragrance and there is no difference between the ones marketing as a scent and the sensitive one lol dove is misleading and I’d never purchase a single product from them again.

Unfortunately, I think it depends on the batch. Mine snapped off a couple of times when I barely touched it...😔

I used to use Primal Pit Paste which renamed to Pretty Frank and it worked well, just not well enough for a heavy sweater. my sister loves it though.
I really like Tom’s of Maine plastic free deodorant it works well for me and it is a whole lot cheaper than others I have tried

I like the refill option, and the gel formula… but it’s not keeping my b.o. at bay all day. When I get home from work I notice some b.o. (not bad but I notice it) and then at bed too. :/
Oh no! That's such a bummer! It's so hard to find natural deodorant that works well. And everyone reacts so differently to them! I hope you can find a good one that works well for you!
Thanks do doing this! I just saw this in stores and I was so excited. I use secret clinical strength and I have never been happy with an eco friendly sub so I’ve stopped trying. I wish Dove would offer their stronger anti perspirants as a refill for this, and I’d be into it!
Also, good to know that it goes on wet. That was my problem with another refillable option. Not a fan.

Are you waxing or shaving? I found that waxing helps me with irritation and lumps and a aluminum free deodorant worked better not to irritate me

Personally this deo didnt last 30 minutes on me. Made me smell like bo and cucumber. If a deodorant isn’t working for you try to detox your pits the night before you put it on and maybe it will work for you. I’m gonna try it and see if that does anything

If they added antiperspirant or even did the one that doesn't show on 100 colors I would definitely buy one. It'd be even better to me if it was the same weight as well.

I just bought this and thought...."The refill is plastic dummies. Use cardboard instead." Also, why is the stainless steel case so dang heavy?! Make it out of aluminum or something. After the first refill is used up I dont plan on buying anymore. Im so disappointed at the lack of thoughtful design on the part of Dove. It's 15 freakin dollars for something designed so dumb.

Is it 98% post consumer recycled plastic? Or just "recycled plastic"? If it's not post consumer it just means they are taking waste plastic from the manufacturing process and reentering it into the manufacturing stream. And they have probably been doing that all along. While that is good, it's still greenwashing and sometimes companies charge extra for that little tidbit on their branding because you think you are doing something good for the environment when you buy the product, when really it's the same process they have always used and they aren't diverting plastic from landfills (or worse) to make the product. Also, you didn't mention how much product is in each refill vs the regular throw away stick. And I'd be willing to bet that they have done something to the formula to make it get used up faster.

The container is nice but this is a terrible design. All that engineering on the container and refill package but the deodorant will break off the base. They dropped the ball on this one. Now I see target has them 50% off.
I wish they had a better design, too. Yeah, it looks like the refill options don't sell well, which is a bummer.

I need to clarify this even if I’m a year late. This is not for sensitive skin nor is it hypoallergenic because it has fragrance lol. These all have fragrance and there is no difference between the ones marketing as a scent and the sensitive one lol dove is misleading and I’d never purchase a single product from them again.
