The Lush Charity Pot has 3 different logos when you buy the solid version, depending on which charity you wish to donate. It's not supposed to replace the full size version in a jar, I think they only made it tiny so you could try it as a solid version. Also, I think that you should never expect a body butter to not ve greasy; it's not supposed to ve absorbed quickly. Better to have separated products for hands and body and also for day and night, since the skin is different and the needs or benefits will vary with the texture.
As someone with year round very very dry skin, I really appreciate you noting which are thicker and more for my type of skin versus just vilifying them as 'greasy' as so many reviewers do. Thanks :)
My favorite low waste lotion is the trader joe’s hand cream. It’s in an aluminum tube. Super moisturizing, affordable, and smells super good. I love it!
This review was awesome. Just what I needed. The Hey Humans was not your favorite but it is the most accessible option so that would be my top choice. I am trying their deodorant and it is working much better than other natural products that I have tried.
I recently learned that "fragrance free" and "unscented" are not the same. If u want no scents added, "fragrance free" is ur best fit because "unscented" is apparently its own scent.
Yea, it's pretty much exactly how it sounds. Fragrance free doesnt have any added fragrance which might still have a smell from the non-fragrance ingredients whereas unscented means it doesn't smell like anything.
Don't forget that Ethique's products come in compostable packaging, including the sticker! I use their lotion concentrate in the ginger lime scent and I love it!
I’ve tried the Plaine products one and it’s really good. If you’re not sure which scent to get, I recommend buying the mini versions so you can try multiple scents. I’m glad I did.
I watched this video thinking about getting one of these. But then I randomly found this local company in a local store. And I am already sold and I've only used it once! For the Canadian viewers it is the The Unscented Company body lotion it comes in a glass pump bottle. I'm so glad I purchased this!
What an amazing video. You did so much and spend quite a pretty penny on all these producta. I have sensitive skin and I've tried my fair share of zero waste lotions. I've been using plaine products for a long long time. Couldn't be happier! My husband and I use the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Yay for products that are sustainable and unisex!
Thanks so much!! Yes, it definitely took a a couple months to get this video together. 😊 Yay! I’m so glad you’re liking Plaine! They make great products! Thanks for watching!!
Of course! Thanks for watching them! I’ve tried one of them! I thought it was a great option plastic-free option! I’ll definitely have an updated zero waste sunscreen video for the summer! 😊
loved how thorough this review was! could you review ethique's products as a whole? i'm really interested in them & they look like such a great brand. i've already liked some of their products, so i'm wondering how things other than shampoo/facewashes work ♡
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful! I’ll definitely include more of their products in my future videos! I love them. I’m hoping to try out their cleaning concentrates soon!
Thank you for the lotion review! I am super duper picky since I pretty much hate the feeling of lotion but I still use it since my legs are so dry. I'm currently using a big bottle that I've had for a long time now so when I'm done I'll consider one of these lotions probably between the ethique lotion bar since I only apply lotion after the shower or the hey humans or plaine since those are lighter and I like the idea of a light lotion
No problem! I totally understand! I’d say all of the liquid lotions will be your best bet! They all absorb quickly and they don’t sit on top of your skin. The Ethique butter block is the lightest of the lotion bars. You’ll feel it on your skin for a bit, but it’s a great bar option. If you end up trying one out, I’d like to hear what you think!! Thanks for always watching!! 😊
Having tried several lotion bars as someone with eczema I've decided that I don't like bars. They're too hard to spread. That means that the most accessible form of eco friendly lotion is off the table for me. just bought the ethique lotion to try. Will look into some of the other ones
Even before I got into zero waste, no scent was super important to me. I don't think I'm allergic, but my skin is very sensitive to fragrance. Especially fruity or flowery ones.
Love this, thank you!! I have the Ethique bar & agree that it's best for nighttime use but I've been really interested in their concentrates (I also have their face wash bar, conditioner bar, & shampoo bar) & I'm so glad you reviewed the concentrate! I'm definitely going to try it. I've also been really interested in trying the Plaine lotion so again, thanks for the review!! Can't wait to run low on what I have so I can try these other options 😊
Thank you for watching!! Sounds like you love Ethique products!! I definitely recommend their concentrate if you don’t mind mixing it with water! Plaine Products’ lotion is another great option. I’m glad you liked the review! 😊
The lotion concentrate was the first product I tried from ethique. I find my skin stays moisturized until I shower. My legs are crazy dry (cracked lizard looking) and this stuff keeps me looking nice. There is a very slight waxy sense once it soaks in but I suspect that’s part of what keeps moisture locked in? My holy grail was always the Body Shop body butters for years and while the Ethique concentrate is much lighter but it works as effectively!!
Awesome! I’m happy to hear Ethique is working for you!! Thanks for sharing your own experience with it! I remember the Body Shop body butters! I haven’t used those in years, but they were moisturizing. Thanks for watching!! 😊
I've tried the Kate McLeod (which I pronounce like Mc cloud, maybe?). I really liked it, so luxurious, but too expensive for everyday in my opinion. I bought it because they were selling a trio of minis and I gave two to my mom as a gift. I kept the naked but they all smelled amazing. I got maybe 5-6 uses out of the mini, downside with the solid bar is I kept dropping it.
I had a feeling I said the name wrong. 🙈🤦🏻♀️ It’s great! It definitely feels like a luxurious splurge product! That’s a great idea to buy the trio and give some as gifts! Thanks so much for watching!
i didn't like the concentrate- it smelled weird and was not strong enough for my skin. i use it on my scalp now to prevent it from drying out but i was very disappointed by it.
Have you tried any of these lotions? Which zero waste lotion do you recommend???

I was waiting for your moon valley organics review because I also think it is very greasy, but I do like the concept and packaging. great video!
I'm so glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching!

It is! That’s a great way to try them out!
I love compilations like this! It's so easy to watch just one video and compare allllll the brands! I love filming this way too :)
Yay! Good to know! It seems like a lot of people would rather watch one big video about a certain product! 😊
Great video and thank you for the reviews ! 😊 I think I’ll finally whip up my ethique lotion bar that’s been waiting on me for some weeks
Thank you!! Ohhhhh, yes! Let me know what you think of it!

I recommend moon organics lavander lotion. Just because has beewax and the formula it's very balanced

There are a few fragrance free options in this for ya! 😊

I was excited for plained products, but I don't like that it's in an aluminum bottle.
Hey humans! I hated!!!!! I bought it and it was just liquid nothing lol.
Darn! It is definitely the lightest one out of these! I hope you find the perfect lotion for ya!!
Not really DIY, you just add the water. This chanel is a little weird.
