The apology was ssa. Chilling with Monie and Justin Hunte warned him BEFORE he even put it up. He then sent a DM to Justin after other TH-camrs got on him. Then Justin made a video telling him the apology better be as big as the disrespect. And then the apology appears.
He was told, multiple times. He then pinned that anyone saying anything negative is a hater and a Kendrick fan in the video. AND HE HAD THE NERVE to add Justin and Monie to the end to the end of his FM video WITHOUT their permission.

Also prior to the apology video he went on stream with someone who told him who exactly Justin was in the space. I think he’s 100% lying about knowing Justin’s credentials prior or watching him for years. I don’t think he’s sorry at all for the issues in Family Matters because he was in Curtiss King’s stream and being dismissive in the chat and only when Curtiss essentially said he seems sorry and that his content was good did WTD out of nowhere started saying let’s get Justin on stream to talk. I feel he see this as a way to blow up and trying to course correct. His apology is nothing more than him belittling what he said and playing oh woe is me. He wants his viewers to say “oh look he’s sad, he’s been through enough so we forgive him”. If he truly knew Justin then he wouldn’t crash out with multiple comments defending what he said and only apologizing days later when it benefited him to do so. If he cared about the culture then he wouldn’t be speculating on if Whitney has postpartum due to captions on IG, looking up Kendrick’s family ancestry for his grandmother’s name, looking up Drake father’s family tree to see if his family were descendants of slaves, say Drakes was spot on with calling Kendrick and woman beater, compliment the Hell’s Angels who has ties to white supremacy, say Whitney likely cheated because Kendrick did, and more. He’s Post Malone, a guy who doesn’t give a damn about the people involved or the culture and see them as objects to grow his platform. Him being warned by Monie beforehand privately to help him out as a peer and calling her a hater is where his true character is revealed. The og comment shows exactly why this apology is lip service

I would have let Dirt's rebuttal video slide...until that Carlton Banks comment. As a black guy growing up in white-ass Kentucky, I used to get SOOO many comments just like this from white kids questioning my blackness because I (nor my parents) don't use the n-word and am a minimally eloquent speaker. Those white kids had so much to say about being black...but i bet their Father never sat down with them before getting their drivers licenses warning them about how to behave towards the police so you don't get shot. THIS is the disconnect. Culture isn't just how you talk, how you dress or what words you can and cannot say. It's a lived experience; the good and the bad. One that Dirt never lived.

I agree we all should study how Company Man misrepresented WTD's position, bad faith framed him as if he's some ignorant white racist in regards to counting ninjas, but I disagree and think WTD has justification to note that n word because of what Kendrick said to Drake in Euphoria, 'We don't wanna hear you say n**** NNNOOO MMMOOORRREEE!!!', which primed WTD to note that word, and in rap battle context Drake's frequent use was to challenge Kendrick's demand of him not to use that word. I say Company Man misrepresented him on this because he hyper focused on WTD giving his take, but misquoted him here because later WTD did say this was in response to Kendrick. Even Company Man falsely conflated WTD's manifesto/vision statement for some goal, that's just disingenuous!
After WTD gave his crash out stream response to Justin Hunte(Company Man) gave his 'euphoria' like response, which is far worse as it misinforms, misrepresents even more, slanders and defames Matt(WTD) here that I distrust Company Man being a credible journalist at this point. For example Company Man claims there was '21 black people' on WTD'S thumbnails but 'zero white people' thumbnails, when 5 seconds earlier we clearly see there's an Eminem thumbnail, 2 thumbnails about Tom Macdonald being some fraud/culture vulture, and 1 Kid Rock being a bad influence, so I guess him misconstruing and cutting that part out was Company Man's choice due to how inconvenient it is to his narrative spin of WTD? In a hostile environment that one slanderous video like Company Mans would trigger a witch hunt over fallacious claims he made about WTD???COME ON!
IMHO what Company Man's disingenuous coverage of WTD was racially motivated. After all Company Man did state he never used the ninja word and abstained for 20 years, so is that because the common motif for abstaining was to recover from addiction of the word, or to avoid the triggers the word caused in Justin Hunte? Therefore he cannot proclaim he was being objective in his coverage of WTD as it misrepresents WTD grossly.

What’s The Dirt is a whole contradiction. His apology contradicts his Twitter video, tweets, comments in others’ chats, and what others told him prior.
He said he was getting back for the video, but that could’ve been avoided when other creators privately reached out to him prior to the video of what can go wrong if he handles the topic poorly. He ignored them and released as is.
His Twitter video he presented Justin as a nobody who is stupid and a clout chaser. Now he’s trying to retroactively say he knew him all along and respect him. What’s more believable: WTD didn’t know of Justin’s history and saw him as another TH-camr until people got on him after the fact OR he knew all along and just disregarded everything because he was mad?
The difference between how Derapy and WTD would handle criticism (not hate or anything) is different. Derapy wouldn’t make a twitter only video calling him an idiot 15 times, say “oh we can tell you don’t say the n word”, call him Carlton, and continue to crash out out and be dismissive about n multiple platforms then do the most paint by numbers apology only because of the backlash.
Also WTD never address the “we can tell” line here. It’s the most egregious thing he said to Justin. His justifications don’t make sense with his actions. This apology doesn’t seem like a in the moment lapse of judgement, but him thinking he can go after Justin with his fans support not realizing who he just attacked and having to backtrack to keep his “motion”. This isn’t the first time he acted this way because he did the same with Cliff Beats. WTD gets a little popularity and he doesn’t know how to act. Now you have Drake messaging Ak to watch his video and reach out is where is see WTD spiraling to a propaganda machine if he doesn’t course correct

To me it’s disturbing that WTD seems to think that black American culture is not complex and is totally reflected in hip hop. That seems to give him the license to say some of the things that he said.

I was just talking to my dad about this yesterday 😂 we're from the Midwest too, but black people from the west , east and south have different cultures inside of black culture as a whole we all connect through things like hip-hop for example and look at how many subgenres of hip hop there is the west has G funk , the Midwest has drill, the east has boom bap and the south has trap etc.

    • @dohinator4092
      @dohinator4092 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

Same here! Southern Midwest born and raised, but despite my family tree branching out to kinda all over the place, Kendrick was one of the first music artists to pull back the curtain for me on the various experiences of black culture in the US different from mine. There were similarities and differences that really connected the dots for me. I had no clue about hood politics and gang culture since my parents wanted to protect me from those topics even with how criminally involved and dysfunctional some relatives from both sides of the family had been and still are. And our neighborhood wasn't the safest either, but they just made sure I knew what streets to avoid when walking home from school.
I also hadn't thought of the hip-hop genre as a sport before discovering Kdot's music bc I was raised more on RnB, soul, funk, Motown, and gospel. The adult role models in my life (not my parents though) talked negatively about hip-hop and rap specifically, so any music I heard from those genres went through very strict filters until I had control over my own CD player and mp3 player as a tween. It was so eye-opening exploring black music and culture more specific to other US regions and diversifying my scope of what the culture consisted of. And there's plenty I still don't and can't know for one reason or another. Even though I'm black, pretending as though I do know the culture of places I've never lived in would be like trying to walk with my shoes untied and on the wrong feet. WTD's hubris about how tapped into the culture he thought himself to be (even as a Canadian, like damn you a special kind of audacious huh) simply by being a fan is a testament to why black music genres were so heavily gatekept. He's also a great example of just how blatantly disrespectful outsiders can be while wading through basically a kiddie pool of black culture. Like bro you're not even from here, sit down!

Why is he so concerned with how many times a half black man uses the word??? He could’ve said (and I still would’ve given a minor side eye) “Drake opened the song with the word as defiance and rebuttal, Kendrick can’t take that word away from him” and left it at that. It can be a characteristic of a personality disorder…sometimes the person can struggle with black and white thinking: there’s no room for grey. You’re either all one way or the other. Either idealized and put on a pedestal or devalued and treated like trash. They will also have intense periods of anger like this, especially when extremely stressed. For anybody who’s lost / has not been locked in the house this week lol, here is a “quick” Timeline / Synopsis of the What’s The Dirt Saga mostly before and during the time of his apology video below. The homies in the comments added awesome suggestions for The Aftermath takes and videos that I’m not including here.
    In the beginning …
    1) What’s the Dirt went viral for his breakdowns of The Drake vs Kendrick Lamar Beef. He said he was going to do them in order and had been coming up with them pretty quickly. Then when Family Matters was up, he took this long ahh break. People were hitting him up on socials and he was doing interviews here n there (We Love Hip Hop - a Canadian hip hop channel, TheVill - a lowkey hip hop journalist, etc.) and dropping tidbits on Twitter. I’ll elaborate but keep in mind that his colleagues were trying to respectfully advise him _ahead_ of his long-awaited video release.
    2) Some of the preview tidbits he was dropping on Twitter were raising a ruckus that he was dismissing as being a bunch of Kendrick stans and “K-bots”, when actually some people were trying to respectfully alert him to factual errors that were problematic if he didn’t correct/address them before he produced his FM video. JV from The Vill and Monie (from Chilling with Monie) were a couple of those people and fellow youtubers who had given him a lot of praise previously and were tryna help the brother out!
    3) During DIrt’s pre-Family Matters hiatus, he did an interview with The Vill where he seemed kinda cocky, admitted that he like the feeling he got of ppl getting hyped when he popped up in their live streams. He seemed a bit dismissive of JV / Vill’s research and defensive about things Drake was associated with.
He also mentioned that he was in a group chat with Adam22, Trap Lore Ross, and some other ppl then to me he seemed to get real quiet after that little flex😅
And in his interview with We Love Hip Hop he seemed super cocky imo and also flexed that he had hired on his brother (an electrician) to work with him full-time on his channel as well as his girlfriend, who quit her job of ELEVEN NIGG… i mean YEARS! (Sooooo he had i think 2 months with 2 full-time employees to finish a breakdown of Family Matters - a pretty simple song?? Ok….)
He said multiple contradictory things during that interview, but he made it very clear that he had been searching for his niche and that, since his The Beef series blew up, he planned to ride that wave til the end and was going to make a video for each song in the Drake vs Kendrick beef then after that, he wasn’t sure. He initially said that he was very firm in only focusing on the music, whereas people like “the GOAT” Trap Lore Ross (his words, not mine) and others often went into the personal lives and back stories more. While kind of brainstorming, he then suggested that he might do more things like that later.
    4) Dirt finally puts out his Family Matters breakdown and everything that he was warned about happened. When Monie kinda said “we told you so,” he called her a hater and said that The Vill was “wrong,” while later admitting that he never even watched the Vill’s video which basically debunked the DV in Las Vegas theory Dirt has been hinting at prior to releasing his FM video that ended up in the actual release!
    5) This is where The Company Man (TCM) Justin Hunte’s initial very gentle and compassionate TH-cam (YT) video entered the chat and around where Derapy’s video starts. So, as Derick said, people were reading Dirt for filth for numerous violations and he was lashing out like a mad man, but all on X! Dirt even made his clapback video “rebuttal” and released in ONLY on Twitter/X! But in the YT skreets, IT WAS UP FOR YA BOI!
There were several live streams and produced videos from highly lauded people in The Culture, the music industry irl, and on TH-cam who went up for Justin and snatched Dirt’s invitation to “the cookout,” including Curtiss King, Shawn Cee, and FD Signifier, in addition to Monie, the Vill, [Deleted], etc. Dirt would often pop into the live stream and continue to play victim. For days.
A few of the issues that had people up in arms were the infamous 37🥷🏾s reference ofc, digging into Aubrey’s father’s genealogy to verify that they had been enslaved people in the South (to validate his 37 🥷🏾s theory (tf?!?!), speculating that Kendrick’s partner Whitney may have had postpartum depression and likely revenge cheated bc Kendrick had been an admitted cheater, and so much more.
    6) As it turns out, Dirt had already agreed to do a “Family Matters” watch party of sorts with a channel called This Current Culture Podcast. Dirt tried to “are you sure you wanna do this to your reputation?” move to get out of it, but the fellas was like nah bruh lets do it. So 3 days ago (September 20, 2024), Dirt showed up and did a Six hour long live with them where they watched a painful chunk of the FM video, talked through things with him, and then took LIVE QnA from the audience.
~ THIS LIVESTREAM IS WHAT LED TO THE APOLOGY VIDEO THAT THIS DERAPY VIDEO COVERED. ~
The audience let him know in no uncertain terms that Justin was owed a video apology on his platform (versus on X, where Dirt admitted he had planned to do it).
So, to Dirt’s credit, he was largely contrite, as you see in his apology video, but I would also encourage people to note that he was apologetic but ALWAYS kept defending himself at the same time! He said the right things in the right way, but also kept harping on how things were affecting his feelings and mental health but with no mention of that for the people he did harm to.
    7) This is a bit out of order, but i would also refer you to Cliff Beats channel and a video he did 3 months ago called “He Steals From Reaction Channels and then DISSES THEM?!” (June 8, 2024) that was all about Dirt doing him the EXACT SAME WAY that he did TCM Justin Hunte! Dirt even used the same tactic of beefing over on twitter, claiming that he didn’t want to give Cliff “any motion,” though Cliff is himself an actual music professional in real life and has a channel of 328K subscribers since 2020 himself!
    8) After Dirt’s apology video, another YT sleuth (sorry I’ll have to find that creator and video later) noticed that, while Dirt said in the video that he wasn’t monetizing it, that he went to the effort to have his sponsored Happy Dad merch on and strategically displayed all over his “cave.”
Apparently Akademics and maybe Drake fw Happy Dad and they have strong right-wing affiliation (according to Professor Skye in his how to be a tourist video on this situation), but i don’t know nuttin bout thaaa … But there is a theory that Dirt intentionally crashed out for his FM vid so that he could then dip from finishing the rest of songs in The Beef (Meet the Grahams, They Not Like Us, and Heart(less) Part 6, which in case you aren’t familiar with The Beef would be HEINOUS for Drake!!!
Dirt did mention in his We Love Hip Hop interview i think that one time he got a video demonetized by YT (ironically when Drake used the hard-R) but his community came to the rescue and, from their support, he made way more money from them than he lost with the demonetization so maybe there is something to that sponsorship to abort the series theory idk 🤷🏽‍♀️
    My 2 Cents:
My personal opinion / theory is that Dirt has always been a hip hop fanboy and definitely “got too comfortable” and revealed that he may have loved the music, but that doesn’t mean he even understood, cared about, or respected the culture and people behind the hip hop mystique and that being associated made him feel cool then ultimately gave him huge clout and a massive sense of entitlement because he struck gold with his videos related to The Beef. And when he rode the wave to the point of having his girlfriend quit her job to work with him and his brother, then IMMEDIATELY crashed out, then hell yeah he became VERY sorry, VERY quickly!
He was very quick to add Black content creators to his video trailer as his co-signers, without their authorization apparently. But he had zero fvcks to give when some of those same people tried to advise him before and after his horrific video. And based on how he lied about, reviled, and smeared Cliff Beats (who is White by the way) months earlier, it wasn’t just a “one-time” thing (that went on for the past two weeks).
In my opinion, he showed his character and his TRUE feelings (or lack thereof) about the people outside of himself and I’m not interested in watching an outsider critique and disrespect my people and culture - or anyone else’s for that matter!
There are some awesome hip hop culture commentators and video essayists from the culture out there (shout out to you, Derapy!) and i will be enjoying their videos and hopefully he stays off of my radar going forward lol
But i think Dirt owes apologies to A LOT more people than just Justin Hunte and, if he’s as talented as people were saying, I don’t see why he should quit YT. But i would appreciate if he kept my people and culture out of his fkn mouth. It seems that he may be currying favor from a different group now so time will tell.
Sorry this is so long, but i hope it gives a helpful synopsis and pointers where to look if you want to check out the primary sources yourself.
I’m glad to be crawling out of this rabbit hole before it goes deeper and getting back to the good people and stuff in life. Take care yall! ✌🏾😘

He definitely needed to apologize to Justin, but he has a couple more apologies to go.
He owes an apology to Monie for sure. She doesn’t have as many subscribers as everyone else, but when you watch her video, it made me rethink everything about his family matters breakdown. She provided him with receipts to get everything right in that video and not only did he not use the information which he knew to be true, but he actually went the other way and said the opposite and lied.
Then on top of that because he and Monie were talking back-and-forth, he was talking to her to get her opinion before he posted the video and she straight up, told him if he ignores the truth and lies that it’s going to cause a lot of problems for him not only did he ignore it, but he went and called her a hater somewhere else online. I don’t know if it was the same video where he was calling Justin stupid and calling him a POS and things like that but he did call her a hater and all she did was try to help him. But then he still used a clip from one of her videos from weeks earlier at the very end of that video where she’s complementing him so it looks like she cosigned that video and that’s wrong on every level.
He also needs to apologize to the people that watches videos and believe he’s telling the truth because he had the truth right there in his pocket, but he had an agenda with that video which is something he’s never done before. The reason so many people in the culture were giving him props because he was keeping it a buck and just coming with facts that video was the first time he had the fax but chose to lie anyway .

I hope he takes the time to examine his desire to be “invited to the cookout” by a group of people that he clearly has unaddressed biases towards. And I don’t think he’ll get there without first understanding the specific kind of racism he has been raised in. Counting N-words was crazy and a reach…but it was the “I can tell” and Carlton quips that took me TF out. That alone tells me he needs to at the very least, have a cultural consultant on his team so he can work through some of this in the background and avoid embarrassing himself like this if he chooses to continue.

I think people get the wrong idea- if someone acts up and is thrown out of a place, and apologises, accepting their apology doesn't have to mean you let them back in. What's the Dirt says he misunderstood his own position, be said his actions were 'disgusting', he said that he got 'too comfortable', he said that every criticism in CMs video was '100% valid', and most importantly for me, he acknowledged that his behaviour actually 'proved' Justin's points from the beginning.... I mean, it sounds to me like he gets it? At least, as much as he can get it, and the stuff he doesn't get at least he now gets that he doesn't get. If you get me.
I am capable of seeing him as just another flawed human, and i respect him for owning up to bad actions, and I'll respect him more if he grows and learns from it. But like... we dont have to watch his videos or support his channel. He can do a different job now, probably 'hip-hop commentator and analyst' isn't a great job for him considering everything that's happened. But I've got no need in my heart to hold something against him on a personal level.
Maybe this is part of the problem with TH-cam and creator culture etc. People cant separate the person from the channel. I hope his channel doesn't become a major force in hip hop going forward, i dont think that's good for anyone, but i still wish the guy the best and i hope he comes out of this smarter and stronger.

Not a good look). Call me a nitpick. Also, it's hard for me to give him credit for all these good talking points when he spent days in comment sections of every live streamer as well as in his own comments hearing this exact feedback and pushing back on each one. The only reason I think the apology is side-eyed is because he did initially double down, and then he started showing up in live streams to give money or hope that his presence would ease the critique. Idk. Then I think once he saw he couldn’t dig himself out, he needed to apologize. Personally I wanted to unsubscribe, but imagine my disappointment when I realized I never subscribed. I just think that since this man has put himself in the position of being an expert on hip hop culture that he has to be held to that standard when we think about the apology.
I've never heard of using Carlton as an insult before - I have only heard Carlton referenced as the dance move. How did this white Canadian guy know about calling black men this without knowing it was an insult?
How did he do his hundreds of hours of research on this and not know that claiming "he could tell" Justin Hunt didn't say the n word for twenty years would be wildly inappropriate on all kinds of levels?
Claiming ignorance for these things would be believable for random Joe who works as a mechanic in rural Canada, but it doesn't work for WTD.
He said those things with intentions to belittle Justin and call into question his blackness and his expertise in hip hop culture.
I believe him that this is an ongoing issue he struggles with, but if anger and explosiveness is a struggle for him then he needs to avoid putting himself in situations where he goes off.

Right, I was thinking the exact same about the Carlton thing. I've never heard of it, either- I'm white, and if that word had become part of my dictionary at some point and I wanted to weaponize it against someone, naturally I would consider the racially motivated context I first heard it in? I don't know. Clearly he has some things to unpack, here.

He told us about Drakes underage parties, stuff we'd never connect. Now that he's 'canceled', he's probably not gonna do the last two and it makes sense for him not to. • @SEOshogun
    @SEOshogun 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

Ultimately the apology does not matter because the same way he questioned Justin's blackness he questioned Kendrick's hoodness and he stands by that. What is the difference? he only apologized to Justin because of the huge backlash. Even though he knew exactly who Justin was he tried to make him look like a nobody and a dirty snakey clout chaser. He calls justin Carlton Banks on his X channel and then pretends he didn't know what that meant? The number one way to prove that WTD is not of good moral character is that he was confronted by chilling with Monie about his information in Family Matters being inaccurate around the beating of Whitney allegations BEFORE the video released and he STILL USED chilling with Monie's praise from another video to launder his own reputation on the hit piece he made containing the inaccurate information! This excellent point made by Johnhinged.
WTD purposefully left out information to try to make Drake's bars in Family Matters look legit. Examples: he admits on the current culture podcast that he knows about the donations and non-profit Kendrick uses to give back to his City but does not mention them at all when talking about the money trees bar in family matters. He only mentions the fact that Kendrick doesn't have businesses in compton as if that's the only way to plant a money tree. He follows this up with "what has Kendrick really done?"
I think he's compromised. Just look at the difference between the breakdown of Family Matters and push-ups. He was invited to the cookout and used his access as a Trojan horse to sneak in propaganda and racial slurs. Calling Kendrick a Milkman is beyond disgusting and without a stitch of evidence, leaving it open that Whitney might have cheated just because she had postpartum depression is just plain wrong. " Come on guys. Drake must have gotten it from somewhere". He of course leaves out all of the footage showing that Whitney came to New York and brought the kids. That she was with him during the beef and showed up at the pop out and in the video. He leaves out that no evidence has been found of her with any bodyguards and leaves out the fact that Dave Free and Kendrick are still cool. How is that accurate reporting?
WTD should not be trusted going forward. He showed his true disdain for the culture and we should believe him.

    • @SEOshogun

I forgot to mention that what's the dirt went on X and said that chilling with Monie was a hater, discrediting her when all she did was point out that his information was inaccurate and she had receipts. I don't listen to podcasts, you're the first one I listen to daily. Really like how ground to earth and nuanced you are at expressing your thoughts!

He apologized to a man but he also apologized to the culture. Very important to not that.

Haven't watched the whole thing yet, but that ability you have to say, "I don't even know this guy, why would I take his criticism so personally" is such a healthy quality to have, and one that I absolutely do not have. Which is why I could never be an influencer or a famous person for even 5 minutes, I would crumble pretty much instantly. I care way to much about what outsiders think of me - even people for whom I have no respect and actively loathe! It's weird and dumb and I have almost no control over it. I mostly have to just keep repeating to myself that the person hating on me isn't someone who's respect I ever wanted in the first place.
This quality of my personality is almost certainly a byproduct of my upbringing, which is part of why it's so hard to shake.

Apologizing is good. Actions speak louder. I was one who was happy to see him apologize, and to see it on his main channel. Then, after, I learned that he's crashed out on Cliff Beats like this before. I saw him say on Thought Crimez that he never intended to put the apology on his channel, that it was gonna go on his Twitter, and he thought that would be fine because a lot of his audience likely didn't know who Justin was/follow the drama. To me, that says a lot about his "real" feelings about the situation. If you're gonna be someone in a space, especially an outsider in a space who is trying to be a voice, and you're not going to remain teachable, then you need to sit down.

I feel like it's really hard to come off as authentic on TH-cam when you have to give an apology. But being a white TH-camr, apologizing to a black man for rac*st comments is even more difficult. I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't even think he referred to any of his comments as racist which makes me wonder if he really believes what he's saying. Cause I don't expect him to self flagellate, but actually sitting down and going into the implications of why what he said was messed up would have shown actual reflection rather than this, "Yeah I just sometimes say some dumb things and I didn't mean to" angle. And I'm not anyone to sit down and criticize on whether this man is being forreal or not, I just feel like sorry is not enough sometimes. And this is one of those times where it is definitely not enough.

They don’t like TH-cam or TikTok apologies because they think people are only sorry because they got caught. They feel it’s very performative.

I’m OG 70 and great job 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💃🏿🍒you live a you learn and wt has shown that he is guinine and error is the steps to learning. The community never say he was a white guy that got he was a young man that got it….a true researcher…we take it seriously. Don’t come in the kitchen if you don’t wanna get burnt. Ps: I hope he checks his comments because we really enjoyed his videos and he is the teacher for future young men coming into this sphere. We don’t argue we discuss and elevate and grow. We didn’t think he was racist we think he’s a AkBOT which is much worst. Breaking down bars is surgical. Growing it up is just taking the lose and correct…it’s ok…think that’s the entire biff with Drake …again I listened to the end and great job.

His apology is as good as his repentance. As long as that bizarre FMs video stays up as is after showing and admitting that he made it while being as clueless and ignorant as Drake is about the culture, he cannot be trusted.

So he meant Carlton as an insult and didn’t cover in his apology why being a “straight edge guy” is atypical and insulting as a black man. He’s so used to portraying them as villains in his videos that he thinks that’s the standard. I think torture talk was the first to mention that so props to him, seems kinda racist to me but not my place to say. Also, Deangelo Wallace makes great videos…agreed.
