Bought one last yr.....When I picked up my kid from school today, I saw a large white van with the hood up. After asking him if it was his battery, I jumped out and grabbed my GB40. He wondered what it was, so I explained it was a lithium powered jump-starter. It started his van up immediately. The look of relief on his face made my day, and my kid was happy we helped.

Last winter, living in my car here in Canada. It was -42 degrees Celsius and both my batteries froze solid. I feared for my safety for the first time. I could not move my hands and had nowhere to get warm. Finally got ahold of my boss ( does not know I live in my car ) he drove down and rescued me. 😊 He jumped started my car with that exact booster. I now own one as winter is on its way. Great item can also charge devices

Yeah, Canada is no joke with the subzero temperatures. I’m glad I have this on board for peace of mind.

I just bought that exact same jump starter about a month ago. Haven't had to use it yet, but she's charged and ready. I chose that one because it has a bypass button, so that if your battery is deader than dead, like left the lights on for 3 days, the Noco claims it can still start it. Other jump starters won't work if the car battery is below a certain percentage of charge. Like, it has to have about 5% charge to be able to jump start. My battery kept dying because the hands-free phone dealybob wouldn't really hang up. Had to delete devices and re-pair my phone.

It no longer ships with a charging cable or cigarette lighter adapter. The vendor calls this an "upgrade". That being said, the user manual still says to "Charge the product using the included charging cable.", so the upgrade is really just lowering their costs by eliminating parts of the original product.
I could not find anything in the included manual that gives the NOCO part number for the charging adapter, cable, cigarette lighter adapter, etc.
The user manual also warns against using charging options not included with the pack, so probably giving themselves cover to deny their warranty if it breaks.
There are also now (December 2024) many recent reviews on Amazon which complain the the pack will not hold a charge.

Good review, expect the push buttons for the lights & on/off switch to fail, common problem. They must use poor quality button switches, I repaired mine with good quality ones, straight forward job but you’ll need triangle security bits to remove the screws.

Hey Bren, as soon as ypu get the car started, I'd be charging the NOCO back up from the 9v cig charger in the car. Im not sure how many jumps it will give you before the jump battery dies too.
