2014 Fusion 2.0 ecoboost: noticed burning coolant smell and running slightly hot. Discovered coolant level was 1.5” below max. Then noticed some white smoke smells of coolant in exhaust when starting cold. Oil smells a little more gassy than I’ve ever noticed, but no signs of coolant in oil, no sign of oil in coolant. What can cause this? What can I do to confirm what the issue is? Is it safe to drive if I keep levels topped off? 143k miles.
Sounds like a blown head gasket. Combustion leak test Use a block tester kit to perform a chemical test on the radiator's vapors. This test can help identify a blown head gasket if you're losing coolant but there are no signs of leaks. Most parts stores rent the kit if you don’t have one. Pull your spark plugs and see if they are wet. Run a compression test. Old school pull all the plugs but the cylinder you are working on. Remove radiator cap, fill to the top with water, pull the starter and fuel fuses. Crank the motor, look for big air bubbles. Do each cylinder. The air bubbles will let you know the cylinder that is compromised. It’s possible that you can have more than one cylinder leaking coolant.

Hi. I am fixing my Lincoln MKZ 2011. I have on the front right with the alternator harness a green wire by itself I don’t know where it belong. Then I have another one where is the throttle body that looks exactly as the one that connect on it but I don’t know where it goes. I looked everywhere can’t find it. I could use some help. I've been looking around and can't find a video on replacing the hood on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I hit a deer a week ago and my insurance won't fix it. I was able to replace the passenger side headlight and that's about it. I gotta replace the bumper, the hood and possibly the metal bar that protects the radiator. Good thing there was no internal damage and it's been driving fine, it just looks like crap...
most cars its as simple as 4 bolts on the hinges. if the hinges look bent you'll want to replace them. you can usually get them with the hood if you get it from a junkyard. another benefit to a junk yard hood is that sometimes you can get a hood in your cars color so it doesnt need to be painted

@rocketboy65 if you're mechanically inclined, I don't think you have any issues. Just take all necessary precautions like bolt labeling and dont try it without the cam locking blocks. They're a must. Believe me.

2:45 it’s a pry tool lmao. You have to PRY it out. The clip didn’t break because it was weak btw. It broke cuz your twisting a small piece of plastic. You’re a mechanic you should know how to pull a clip lol
Joshua Baker I removed and rebuilt my engine a few months back and I can tell you with certainty that the cam bolts are torx 55 plus, they’re also not reusable. A torx 55 bit will half ass fit a torx 55 plus fastener, but a torx 55 plus bit will not fit a torx 55 fastener. A torx 55 bit fits a torx 55 fastener loose as hell, with the risk of it slipping and stripping out the fastener. You can even tell from the movement he gets on the breaker bar once it falls in place.
@@paradoxintellectualpropert7129 You are a complete idiot, it is not a torque wrench it is definitely a breaker bar and I suggest you never attempt working on your own vehicle cuz if you don't know the difference between a breaker bar and a torque wrench you have no business attempting any such type of job

They must have changed it after 2010, the I’ve got the Vin C engine in a 2012 limited.
