I remember when I bought the Bon Jovi New Jersey Album, boy did I have trouble making the money (as a fifteen year old) to buy it. When I finnaly had the dough in my hands I went all excited to the record store, it was called Coco Disco and bought it! That night and for at least six other nights in a row I laid in bed enjoying that music on my cassete player, as only teenagers can!
I'm convinced Jon will go down as one of the greatest front men, up there with Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler. The style, the voice, the energy; he is the whole package. I've been listening since the 80s and Bon Jovi still rocks to this day.
We used to rent limos, so we could drink as much as we could. We had the boots, the long curly brown hair. The jackets...fringe and long leathers. Sometimes the cool black leather cowboy hats. Not always though. Didn't wanna mess up the hair. We have the limo driver park in front if the place . I’ve been a fan when really nobody really knew Bon Jovi early early days friend of mine brother worked in Jersey brought back a bootleg cassette and the rest is history I’d love to go back to those days and live the 80’s one more time. I've always been so jealous of the people who grew up and experienced this in the 80s.When my parents tell me about how things were back then I just want to dissappear. My friends always I'm crazy because I'm a 13 old girl obsessed with anything 80s.I don't think any 13 year old in 2021 understands how I feel about 80s music. It puts in a different world and I'm so glad my parents educated me with the right music.Thank you for the absolute amazing music Bon Jovi ❤
It was AWESOME only thing is we were young & just thought life would always be the same, we'd all be the "cool" teenagers forever & this was just life !!!! 😝, 30 years later , STILL TOO COOL 😎 😝, just "older" & more experienced 😝✌️
Theres nothing wrong with you..you are just very atune to good music and good energy the 80s was the first time people like Bon Jovi stood up n said im doing it my way and actully knew what they were doing...it was a time when things were so real ....i think youre a smart person and realize this...and good to know someone of your age see this....dont ever change youre the real deal

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame- Congratulations to Bon Jovi ❤ Jon is one of the BEST front men of all time!!! Awesome live!!! Coolest band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make a concert again bon jovi!!!
A friend of mine had two extra tickets and invited me and my wife to go with him. Atlanta the Omni March 1989. I didn’t know much about them other than the hits like Livin on a Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive. They came on to this song with the drum and guitar build up and everyone went nuts. Then pyrotechnics and Jon appeared on stage out of nowhere and this song kicked in. I was in a state of euphoria and I thought I’d never heard a better opening song in all my life. And the good feel energy that Jon has was electrifying.
I was 29 years old when this came out l was on the USS Nimitz and with so many different age groups someone told me about this. All l can say is what an experience. Being on that aircraft carrier 86-89 introduced me to some good times and music.
I can feel this all the way down to my toes! I was in my 20's when this came out and we were having the times of our lives! I'd love to feel that again, but the rock bar is not a thing anymore! Never like the 80's! Miss these guys' energy!!!

My sister is a pastor and at the end of the service all members gather and Lay Their Hands on anyone who is needing a blessing. I am the 'black sheep' of my family, but I think this is beautiful.
If 2022 (this year) is the last time he ever tours, I'd be ok with it, since I finally got to see them live up in Indianapolis on April 19th. It irritates the hell out of me that people are complaining about his vocals going in and out, he's in his 60s and still willing to give us what we want, live performances, let's cut him some slack, shall we?
I remember when they opened their concert with this, this was the best feeling, it got you right though the inner core of your body. I saw this concert and it still gets me it takes me back to the 80’s.
Chills every time! I’m 19 this year and always got brought up with great music thanks to my family. Fucking amazing !!! Bon jovi is one of the most amazing men out there and always will be ❤️
Richie left on his own to make a name for himself, but wsn't that successful, he did eventually come back to Bon Jovi, but from what reports said, they were having issues with him and eventually was let go from the band. As with Alec, he was fired due to reports of him disclosing private info about the band for $$, or something to that effect.
That is one insane party. I bet nobody in that crowd will ever forget those 6 minutes. I think they entertained and electrified to the absolute maximum. You just watched a display of talent like never witnessed
This was a Awesome Concert. Seen them with Skid Row in Lakeland Florida when I live in Palm Harbor fl. Stayed at the same hotel they all did.. 1988 - 1989 ... Still have the shirt Sebastian Bach took off and threw in the crowd. I was on my husband's Shoulders, threw it right to me...Awesome night.... 2 of the Best bands I every seen in concert.
We saw the same tour in Baton Rouge, LA. One of the 1st shows on the tour. At the time I'd never heard of Skid Row so we didn't go in at the beginning of their set. We entered the arena as they were playing "Youth Gone Wild". I was blown away. Bad ass song. I always regretted not seeing their whole set. Of course Bon Jovi blew the place up. It was a good show.
Saw them on the New Jersey tour! They were Awesome! I remember my Dad asking me who the girl was on my shirt, lol! It was a picture of Jon from the shoulders up, looking cute as always!❤❤🔥🔥
Steven Stiles wow I paid £80 when I saw him a on his last tour before this one he’s on now, I’m only 28 would have loved to have been at this show or any back in the day.
20 bucks because back then bands made their fortune with the album sales and hit singles, unlike now, when the income comes from the overpriced 100 bucks tickets, hoping for a hit video on youtube and legal downloads.
80's and early 90's were the best concerts ever!! No phones to distract you and you actually SAW the band's every move. Slippery When Wet was my first tour and I saw him a lot more after that.
If you're ready, I'm willing and able Help me lay my cards out on the table You're mine and I'm yours for the taking Right now the rules we made are meant for breaking What you get ain't always what you see But satisfaction's guaranteed They say what you give is always what you need So if you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me I'm a fighter, I'm a poet, I'm a preacher I've been to school and baby, I've been the teacher If you show me how to get up off the ground I can show you how to fly and never ever come back down Everything you want is what I need Satisfaction's guaranteed But the ride don't never ever come for free If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, Lay your hands on me [Solo] Don't you know I only aim to please If you want me to lay my hands on you Lay your hands on me
at this point Bon Jovi was everything a rock band should be, and its on full display in this video. I really wish I could have been alive during this time! killer track!
I was 13 at the time, and it was amazing. But not just with this video. MTV played music videos 24/7 with exception of MTV news, & a game show called Remote Control. At the mall, I once passed 7 people in 7 different Poison t shirts. Now all we have is youtube.
The 80s rock concerts will never be seen again girls big hair hands in air seeing both hands not a phone in hand going crazy everything was just organic fun happy times my mum used to say when i was young 60s were the best i thought ok mum now i know what she means how the 80s were to me at the time you live it dont appreciate it till now
THE most awe inspiring, heart racing, hysteria provoking, definitieve, and original entrance to a stage of adoring fans you will EVER witness - bar NONE ! This track is 27 years old (and growing) and I am yet to witness a greater adrenaline rush than the 2 min intude to this Bon Jovi legacy. Stop, listen and behold the exuberance of a once in a life time experience - enjoy !!
+Ben Sillitoe hit the nail on the head there! I remember first seeing this back when it came out and right there at that moment I knew I just HAD to learn to play the guitar!

WOW I DIDN’T KNOW HE DIED! How did I not know this.
Pre-game ceremony music for New Jersey Devils games in the early 90's
One thing that can always be said about Bon Jovi concerts is the energy is always through the roof. There’s nothing like it in the world. I can’t wait for them to tour again. I need that energy in my life!! ❤️❣️
I'm afraid you've missed the real show, they may never your again anyway.
@@work8046 they’re back on tour now. And I’ve seen them in concert 9 times. I’ll see them again, I’m sure of it.
@@michellekuznecow4053 I saw them just over 20 times but they're not a patch on what they were, Jon's voice is pretty shot and without Sambora, phewww no chance
@@work8046 well thankfully you’re option doesn’t mean much for their bank accounts. Be blessed
@@michellekuznecow4053 I've no idea what you're point is, if it's "he's only about the money now" you're correct.
One of the best rocksongs ever.
My NEW favorite Bon Jovi song!!🤣🤣 People can STILL see the 80's!! These videos are all we had too! ROCK ON!!
Nothing like the 80s Bon Jovi concert, I will never forget it” excitement, thrilling, memories #LakelandFlorida1989 #ForeverMemories #Legendary, fan forever!! 83-24 🫠❤️🗡️
It’s was the best !! I’m 52 graduated in 1987 and this era was amazing !! I watch these videos and just like you said, I disappear into my memories and just smile!
Cuz today's music is garbage
In 1987 i was 3 seen my first bon jovi video and have been hooked ever since 🤘🏻
Jon at his vocal peak and New Jersey was the groups peak album studio sound in my opinion also thanks to Desmond Child’s compositions on this album
I remember when I was 15 years old when this first came out and saw this... I thought it was the coolest video of BonJovi. I miss the 80's so much.
im here at 2019 and im now 14 and i also wana go to the 80's
I was 14 when I saw it First in 1992.its a Monsta Video and a Killer Song
I was 15 years old, when i saw it. Now I'm 16, but I want to be 50 yaers old now, 'cause I want to visit all BJ concerts 👌🏼😂

Best band in the world. No questions. No apologies.
Why doesn't this have more views? it's gotta be their best video
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame- Congratulations to Bon Jovi ❤
Jon is one of the BEST front men of all time!!! Awesome live!!!
Coolest band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make a concert again bon jovi!!!
As far as I know, Jon can no longer sing the way he used to be singing in the past. And this is sad... 🤔
Bon Jovi FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
God I love the 80’s
You and both Edward!!
Its 2023 and Bon Jovi is still the best band and this song is just absolutely amazing 💯 🔥
Yup, still a great band.
Bon Jovi & Bee Gees
@magzi234, iYHO, that is.
Some songs are like good wines, they get better and better with age.
Or about Kevin spacey

I can feel this all the way down to my toes! I was in my 20's when this came out and we were having the times of our lives! I'd love to feel that again, but the rock bar is not a thing anymore! Never like the 80's! Miss these guys' energy!!!
I don't know which is worse, the ones that PRETEND to be the rockstar or famous person or the one's that believe it (if ANY one does)!!!
@@tinahill3423 HHHMMM? You obviously had to be there! Graduating high school and coming into adulthood in the 80's was the absolute best!

My sister is a pastor and at the end of the service all members gather and Lay Their Hands on anyone who is needing a blessing. I am the 'black sheep' of my family, but I think this is beautiful.
That’s creepy as f
If 2022 (this year) is the last time he ever tours, I'd be ok with it, since I finally got to see them live up in Indianapolis on April 19th.
It irritates the hell out of me that people are complaining about his vocals going in and out, he's in his 60s and still willing to give us what we want, live performances, let's cut him some slack, shall we?
Saw this in concert. I was 13 years old. He popped up from under the stage it was on. Blew my mind and my ear drums.
This video is still watchable in my early 60's
I remember when they opened their concert with this, this was the best feeling, it got you right though the inner core of your body. I saw this concert and it still gets me it takes me back to the 80’s.
Golden years
I saw this concert 3x… 1x @ Irvine Meadows and 2x @ The Forum [I’m in this video]. #bonjovi
Chills every time! I’m 19 this year and always got brought up with great music thanks to my family. Fucking amazing !!! Bon jovi is one of the most amazing men out there and always will be ❤️
Jon is a great entertainer and a great humanitarian! I get the feeling, if he ever retires,he will run for office.
Richie and Alec John Such :The good old times! We miss you!
Eduardo bsn - Absolutely!!
You ment Richie sam boerna
Richie left on his own to make a name for himself, but wsn't that successful, he did eventually come back to Bon Jovi, but from what reports said, they were having issues with him and eventually was let go from the band. As with Alec, he was fired due to reports of him disclosing private info about the band for $$, or something to that effect.
I remember seeing Bon Jovi on this tour. We went to two shows. I miss the 80s
Good old 80s day ❤❤❤❤
That is one insane party.
Aaa
Saw them on the New Jersey tour! They were Awesome! I remember my Dad asking me who the girl was on my shirt, lol! It was a picture of Jon from the shoulders up, looking cute as always!❤❤🔥🔥
When was this Becki? 88? 89? 90?
Too bad these awesome young people of today had to miss these unparalleled shows. Tickets? 20 bucks. That was when bands cared about their fans.
Steven Stiles wow I paid £80 when I saw him a on his last tour before this one he’s on now, I’m only 28 would have loved to have been at this show or any back in the day.
@@sammyjotaylor690 When you saw them not him, Bon Jovi are a band-Jon Bon Jovi is when he is solo obviously lol
You should go to the Vegas show June 20,2020!!!They rock man!!!!
20 bucks because back then bands made their fortune with the album sales and hit singles, unlike now, when the income comes from the overpriced 100 bucks tickets, hoping for a hit video on youtube and legal downloads.
@@jjrj8568 Sad but true. Concerts then were sooo unpretentious and were more like some giant party.
This concert was absolutely amazing. What a show and what a decade
80's and early 90's were the best concerts ever!! No phones to distract you and you actually SAW the band's every move. Slippery When Wet was my first tour and I saw him a lot more after that.
The hair and the rockin' outfits of all the guys ..... slammin'!!!(M)
We WANT the 80's back!! :)

Look im 12 and i love music from the 80s
80's = BEST.

Didn't get to meet him, but I saw him at an ND football game when his son went there. I wanted to meet him, though.
If you're ready, I'm willing and able
Help me lay my cards out on the table
You're mine and I'm yours for the taking
Right now the rules we made are meant for breaking
What you get ain't always what you see
But satisfaction's guaranteed
They say what you give is always what you need
So if you want me to lay my hands on you
Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me,
Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me,
Lay your hands on me
I'm a fighter, I'm a poet, I'm a preacher
I've been to school and baby, I've been the teacher
If you show me how to get up off the ground
I can show you how to fly and never ever come back down
Everything you want is what I need
Satisfaction's guaranteed
But the ride don't never ever come for free
If you want me to lay my hands on you
Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me,
Lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me,
Lay your hands on me
[Solo]
Don't you know I only aim to please
If you want me to lay my hands on you
Lay your hands on me
+chan ivy thanks your lyrics 😊

at this point Bon Jovi was everything a rock band should be, and its on full display in this video. I really wish I could have been alive during this time! killer track!
Great band
I was!!!!! Great times
I was !!!!great times
I'm happy you weren't!!
I was 13 at the time, and it was amazing. But not just with this video. MTV played music videos 24/7 with exception of MTV news, & a game show called Remote Control. At the mall, I once passed 7 people in 7 different Poison t shirts. Now all we have is youtube.
New Jersey, a goldmine for rock and roll, Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen, can't beat that.
Dusty Doll .......& that’s why I visit the Garden State every year & had the opportunity to go visit the “Stone Pony” as well !!!
there's something called L.A. tho

Ben Sillitoe god dam well said!!!!
Theres a guy in this thread that's disgusted with it...wants the song to just start. smh.
I grew up in the 80's myself. I forgot how freaking badass Bon Jovi was back then. They're still great, but nothing like it was.

Bon Jovi had it together back in the 80s and early 90s. Best of childhood memories.
Often, i consider myself a very lucky man just to be alive at the same time as Bon Jovi. So glad to witness such Awesomeness!!!!!!
