God damnit.. I just got done creating my own FO4 modlist to finally go and tackle the games main quest with and now I got this beauty staring right at me 😅
Played the original modpack for 200 hours and it was easily my favorite fallout experience by far. Glad to see in V2 the performance being fixed and I must say that it does look a shade or two better as well!
This modlist is a dream come true for me. It's literally everything I wanted in a Fallout game! I can't wait to install and sink 100s hours into it. The only thing I'm worried about is my GPU - my 2070S is still a decent card, but it's starting to show its age... :(
For me the most intimidating part was actually making use of all the new crafting mechanics, but if you build most of the new workbenches and organise them then things become a lot simpler
Horizon is the cream of the crop. Once you get on the groove, it becomes impossible to play with vanilla mechanics again. Yes it's challenging - but ultimately that's what keeps it fresh for long playthroughs. With Horizon you won't get bored after reaching level 25.
i agree, its always a pleasure to watch your reviews of skyrim and fallout, even if they are similar its that very structure which lets you concentrate and extract the information i need if a modlist is for me or not. thankyou droppedicecream.
Never been this early before. The list looks really promising. Hope I can play it as soon as I get my new SSD. I swear, having only 500gb of space is so limiting for Wabbajack lists.
3:02 I'm back for more modded Bethesda gaming! And this, this is one of the main reasons why I quit playing Fallout 4 Enhanced Edition: because of performance. Sure it was frustratingly hard and that added to it, but I would have stuck with it if the performance was better or my PC could have handled it. Glad to see it's improved.
@@jeffparryncc1701 yeah,there isn't any other modpacks like this for hardcore survival, life in the ruin seens good but you need almost 300 gb space for that modpack,it's beyond my harddrive
its a bit of a shame, as he put so much work into optimizing it by makeing those precombines to work ... i wish i had downloaded the latest iteration but i have "only" the predecessor Fallout 4 Enhanced Edition, which worked and looked awesome. its a typical case of not that many mods but a big positive result. never thought i get a fan of that 40 shades of rust mod but it just looks amazing. ... now to get some similar Modlist for Horizon 1.9 and i would even ditch starfield right now ;)
This is a silly question, but if I have good specs and am playing in 1080p, would it make sense to install this *ontop* of the “2023 Fallout 4 Ultimate Graphics” mod list if I want higher graphical fidelity? Or am I setting myself up for a nightmare of compatibility issues? I have experience with modding Fallout games in the past using Mod Manager.
You can’t really add lists on top of each other, but if you install HRE I assume you could swap out the ENB for Reactor ENB and swap the textures with the Luxor Texture Overhaul. Not too sure if it’ll work but I should think so?
As dropped said, it could work, but as a heads up. Even things as small as texture mods could seriously cause major compatibility issues somewhere along the list, and the chances only get higher with every added mod. I would start fresh and just add one at a time to see if things are smooth.
Just don't start the Falskaar quest line it's broken in all my saves for some reason meaning I can't leave the area and had to load over 2 hours back because I forgot to manual save 😭
This was the best list I've ever touched. I devoured a ~200hr completionist playthrough in it and was engrossed with every second of it. Kudos to Augspeed and looking forward to anything he puts together for Startfield
This modlist and its sequel HRE were both terminated by their creator. They moved on to Starfield. The only way to find either now is from someone who has them.
Tried to DL this mod 3 time sover 2 weeks and it has failed to complete all 3 times. Magnus Opus went and Atomic installed without issue, so Im not sure what the trouble is
God I hate Discord for anything else other than for social group and maybe streamer communities. Searching is useless and returns the results in exact chronological order, and there's no upvoting/downvoting system to bring extra visibility to quality content.
Hmm, actually, the voiced protagonist is one of my top-3 favorite things in F4. I wish Elder Scrolls series had it. For me it makes my character alive, and instead of a moot cardboard cutout.
More and More these mods become like STALKER Anomaly / Gamma - not that that is a bad thing, but if people are keen on the survival fps with a fallout theme, check out Stalker Anomaly and the GAMMA (would only play that after playing vanilla anomaly which is a free game/mod in itself)
Hey, can you give us a step by step guide how to install the modpack? Its really not clear from the instructions and wabbajacks always says the installation wasnt complete. And how did you got the 21:9 patch working? Really would love to play the pack, but it is so hard to get working right.
I have the same problem, it stops installing when there is about 6,5 GB left to install. Tried starting it again and again, even downloading the whole list again but still stuck at 1,5mb/6,5 GB.😕
@@youngwallace6409 For future reference just check which mod isn't downloading and get it manually then just put it in with the rest of the mods in your download folder you created at the start. Don't unzip just copy paste it right in there. Then run wabbajack again and it will recognize you have it.

@@malisa71 I'm seeing that too. I don't know much more about it. If I were to take a wild guess, sometimes, mods get removed due to performance or game stability reasons, but I can't say for sure whether that is the case here.
indeed it looks like a very cool modpack but at this point why not play stalker, ammo scarcity and all that it sounds to me like people want a stalker with laser guns There has to be someone that tried to turn stalker into a fallout game right?
I tried Frost, and had both arms and both legs blown off by a sewer hag carrying a bent stick. Artificial difficulty is not worth it, and I really can't tell from any of these videos who much artificial difficulty is being used in Horizon. I'm going to assume at least 50% of this is number punishment. btw: lighting and ENBs in any modlist should all be abandoned in favor of ReShade, which does more and better, with comparatively zero performance cost.
For those saying Fallout mods suck the life out of you're system i have few things to say ..... My Rig is a 8 years old : Maximum Gene VI (i believe ) mb 32Gb of 2k Mhz DDR 4 Ram I7 4770k OC at 4.1Ghz air cooled with a cooler master V8 GPU GTX 770 with a dead fan, and the other one is a diy fan PSU 750W 85% Platimax The game runs between 45 fps interiors 50/55 outside Currently playing Lost World mod ( which i fine tuned with 100 more mods just for visual/sertlements improvements) lv96 only pistol permadeath ironman challenge; playing on a side note Horizon with everything on ultra settings except grass, idk why but it eats most of my Ram for no reason at all ... Also running Stalker Gamma between 70/80 Fps pretty much everywhere So when you finally stop crying about Fallout performance call me and i tell you what should you do to maximize it. Note: Horizon is really focused on settlement micro management and us fun asf😊 😊😊
My worry is that the game will still play poorly. It honestly surprises me that so many people are able to play Fallout 4 so much on pc, but the aim controls are... not great, even with heavy modification, and neither is performance (even with my 3090) . Defintiely going to give this a try and any fix possible to make suere it runs well.

What keybinds you use for uneducated shooter? I love the idea of the mod but cant seem to find good keybinds im comfortable with for it.
I ended up using my side mouse buttons, I’m the same where it felt off on my keyboard
I used Q and E as the lean buttons (and rebinded my use key on F), pretty much like in stalker

Been playing it myself if you want skyrim but with heaps more content looks amazing but still feels like skyrim I definitely recommend

Thank you! And kinda, text boxes and trading UI all lines up well, but the ammo and health bars are a little stretched without any ultrawide patches

It installed correctly for me after that. It took about 3-4 hours though with the building BSAs.

Rollback wabbajack to 3.5 and it should work

Author has unfortunatly taken this mod down permanently. Found this out today when i tried to find it. RIP. It looked like fun :')
Really wanted to play this but Wabbajack sucks, failed 400 times and I ended up giving up.
