A little late to the game on this one, but hope you enjoy! Have a safe weekend, my friends! ✌ SENNHEISER CX TW: 🇺🇸 US amzn.to/3jolxRP 🇨🇦 CA amzn.to/2Vqe5gZ
I've had these for a few months and thoroughly enjoy the sound quality. Hoping they update the app to have at least a 5-band EQ. They are a tad bulky to me and thought about returning them, yet that sound quality wins me over, even as I am using them now. Thanks!!
Excellent review. Your ability to describe form & function comes from a finely tuned vocabulary and sharp sense of humor. You know your stuff. I bought 'em. 85 bucks to be delivered to my door in South America from Amazon. Booya! Geoff Medellin Colombia
I haven't chimed in for a while now, but once again the reviewer provides a VERY thorough review covering all the bases one would hope a reviewer would place emphasis on. I have to say, I personally place a lot of emphasis on listening closely to how one describes what he or she is reviewing/presenting. I am a real stickler for proper word usage, pronunciation, etc. This reviewer is smart without attempting to sound smart. And throughout the review he does it with a humorous and fluid style. You can easily tell that he has thoroughly studied a product before presenting it. I have said it before, and it bares mentioning it yet again. Share his site with others. Yes, there are many reviewers out there, but many struggle to be as thorough, knowledgeable, and concise as this man. Personally, I would not buy the Sennheisers. I have seen enough information on them to determine that there are other products on the market that offer more, especially in the way of sound quality. Thank you Aaron for always putting in the work and understanding the product in a way that makes deciding whether or not to purchase a lot easier.
Is the sound quality way better than the soundcore life P3? Also is the sound quality score based off all the earphones you've listened to or the overall value of the product.
Great review man, thanks. Do you think the quality of Sennheiser makes this a more durable bud? I'm reading a lot of negative reviews about durability with "newer" brands like Earfun, Jabra, JBL. Buds that break after two months or so. I would like to just get Buds that last at least two years. Thanks!
Hi Rick, most brands nowadays are solid, but of course they are things like defective runs and user error (which affect the negative reviews). So far, of all the earbuds (from the past 3 years) that I have in my admittedly oversized collection, I've had only one fail, but only because my dad was using it, fwiw. Thanks for watching - I hope that helps some!
@@gearupaaron Thanks that definately helps. It broadens the selection when you can also be assured that lesser known brands still provide a solid earbud. Thanks!
@@gearupaaron No I'm on the fence between the Earfun Free Pro (2), Soundpeats truefree 2, JBL tune230nc or the Sennheiser cx. So kinda lowbudget range. Soundpeats truefree looks great but battery life seems a bit low.
Thank you for the review Aaron great job I was going to get these but now I don't know. What do you think about the Techniques or the CX? I know their different earbuds one has ANC and ambient mode but which one would you choose for sound quality? Thanks. 🤔👏👏
Great review thanks for this your review and others have me on the edge of buying these but I think the only negative you mentioned that would bother me would be the customizable touch controls. Every other review I have seen has shown full customizability so it does make me wonder about the app at the time of the review, would like to know if it has changed for you since as I too have a pixel and I only just recently got the android 12 push.
Sony WX3 and 4 (for warmth and soundstage), Jabra 75T Active (for all-roundedness), Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro (close to XM3 but for way less and more tuneability), Moondrop Sparks (clean IEM sound on a budget). I'm sure I categorized other buds, but these are just at the top of my head 😝 - hope this helps you nonetheless!
They're rubbish. The left side has lost sound. The controls work, but no sound. I tried factory reset, shut down and reboot the iphone, but the left is silent.
Lmaooooo why are all these earbud reviews centered around dumb features, theyre headphones, how does the music sound. Idc if the battery life is under 5 hours, they’re headphone, for listening to music, all these TH-cam tech channels are dorks and don’t understand audio
You talk too much about unnecessary stuff. It's Sennheiser's entry level, cheapest tws earbud. It's their worst tws product. Sound quality is their lowest. Period.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 👍 I try to give all the stuff I review equal limelight and due deligence, since not everyone can afford more expensive models in any particular brand. Like how some folks will buy Airpods vs Airpods Pro (I know, poor example).
@GearUP with Aaron sorry man I thought you were promoting the brand because they paid you :) I've recently bought these and they're not any better than a 30 dollar Anker or Taotroncis I own. I'm deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with them.
No worries, my goal is to never shill. Btw, it's great to have people like yourself to keep creators like us on our toes... Sounds like you're an audiophile yourself?
@@gearupaaron you're great at what you're doing. Please don't mind my first rude comment. I don't think my ears are trained enough to call myself an audiophile, but I can tell the difference between a good speaker/headphone and a mediocre one. To me, sennheiser meant well balanced, quality sounding and well-made earbuds. I should've known better and spot there was something wrong with this particular earbuds when I read the "bass boost" thing on the box, lol. Oddly enough, they don't even deliver good bass..
@@gearupaaron I think they lack sound clarity, deep bass, volume level and comfort. I've been using in ear headphones for years and these are by far the least comfortable ones. I think their silicone isn't thick enough or soft enough to stay in ear canal for hours. It hurt my ear in 30 minute session I used them. It felt like they didn't even have silicone covers.

They'll work for light jogs, but any more intense will require something with hooks or wings or something like a Shokz.

I'm quite sure that customizable controls has been added. Pity I didn't have that option during my test time 😞
@@gearupaaron Update, I did pick them up, and after a firmware update, I did get full customization of touch controls.
Very nice to hear!
4:53 they’re customizable bro.. you need the sennheiser smart app!
The usual "Earbuds Control" was nowhere in the app when I tested it - I was on the latest version, so maybe it didn't like me?
How much do the original headphones cost? Thank you.
