I am an XM3 owner, and I have already upgraded. These have a different sound signature than the XM3s do. I listen to music that has a lot of bass. I can finally enjoy that thumping bass with the XM4s that I couldn't with the XM3s. I will still use my XM3s when I want to hear some singing tracks or podcasts or something like that since they have better highs than the XM4s do.
@Dee No - I agree, the bass (and sub-bass) is tight, even though there doesn't seem to be XBass anymore, not that it needs it now. Thanks for watching and your input! 👊😁
I upgraded from the XM3 to the XM4 about a week ago. The noise suppression with the XM4 is better than the XM3. The noise suppression of the XM4 is close to the Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds, like really close, and maybe better in some environments. I returned the Bose earbuds after four days though, because they dropped connection constantly and the case was huge so I couldn’t really take them anywhere. The sound for playing music is probably a bit better on the XM4 compared to the XM3, but honestly not by enough that I really think about it, as the XM3 were already excellent. The speak to chat feature is VERY welcomed and the ambient mode on the XM4 rivals that of the AirPods Pro. Now that the Sony XM4 case fits in my pocket comfortably, unlike the XM3 and their case, the XM4 are the earbuds I take with me everywhere instead of my AirPods Pro. Better ANC. Equals for ambient mode. Far better sound quality. Better battery life. Better features (location based, situation based, and touch controls). Best of all, the Sony XM4 are more comfortable.
Trying my BEST not to upgrade to the XM4s from XM3. I'm hearing that the XM3s are still great in comparison but the design and asthetics along with what the XM3s lack, despite the expensive price is TEMPTING. Now which color am I getting?
Great video as always. Really appreciated the mic test. I get complaints whenever I use the xm3s to take calls and it doesn't look like I'll upgrade given the minor improvement.
You are so right about the case being shitty. I thought my piece had an issue, but once I googled it, i realized that it is a common issue across the product, smh
can you adjust the EQ to have it sound like the Moondrop Sparks, but better? or is the sound just going to be darker/warmer regardless of EQ on the XM4?

Tomar nota
