I discovered this channel today... 3days before I move to Canada. I watched a number of ur videos and I learned and lot... I’m extra motivated now!! This channel saved me a lot of worry
If a foreign person wants to immigrate to Canada and they want to work, they have to be prepared. Knowing the English language is a must and having a skill is a great start to making a good living. If you do not know English and have no skills, it will be very difficult to live in Canada, at least at the beginning.
I do agree. Hi from Alberta outside of Edmonton. I help with English on Facebook for free. But I’m not an actual teacher. Many friends want to immigrate here.
@Doomer you may not have a problem but as long as you are in good health, speak English even with an accent and have some money saved up, $5000 approx.. its even better. Canadian government does not like immigrants coming here with no English, no money and no skills.
You can in Québec. 12$ an hour 40 hours a week will give you 480$ a week. It will give you around 1 500$ net a month. You can get a rent for 500 to 600$ a month. So that leave you with around 800 to 900$ a month to spend on everything else.
Car insurance for a basic SUV in Jamaica is anywhere between 100-200 per month but the loan amount can be anywhere between 500-700. So persons have to pay around 600-900 per month.
Omg man, you're such a positive person! Thank you for bringing us some reality about Canada! I'm even more excited to go to this country!!! Thanks for the content
Wise choice to move to Calgary even though they are hurting in the oil sector but if you have a job in Calgary and a university degree working in your field you make a descent salary like $3400-3600 a month. Houses in Calgary are reasonable Fair starting at $400 gees to a mill. Three bedroom house with basement. I know some folks that rent the three basement rooms at $500 a month each room. That helps pay the Calgary utilities and property taxes whilst your income you can use it to pay the mortgage and house family expenses. Calgary is slowly diversifying it's economy than focusing on oil. Calgary was awesome when the oil prices increases to $110 a barrel Calgary had so much money that lots of people moved to Calgary. When the oil prices tumbled lots of people that never saved lost their houses and fortunes. Today Calgary is growing slowly again and diversifying it's economy than focusing on oil. Ontario and BC is insanely expensive with and income of $20- $25 an hour you really can't buy the same house in Calgary in Vancouver because houses there start from 1mill and up yet in Calgary with a salary of $20-25 an hour you can buy a house worth $350gees to $650 gees.
7:58 I died. 🤣🤣🤣 I love your honesty. Earned a subscriber. I just arrived Canada a day ago, and I am prepared for the tough period ahead, because I know where I’m going. Soon I’d be living a better life.
I believe immigrants may go for any courses they want to Vinnie. It's always best to pursue your own interests, and see how they pertain to related jobs, then get the education. Usually, in most cases, short term programs that turn into jobs are 1-2 years long, but many only 1 year long, maybe even 6-12 months. There seems to always be a need for bookkeepers ( tax clerks ). Also seems to be lots of jobs in Health Care, which only take maybe 8 months - 2 years education.
What a great contribution man. You are a convincing voice for people yet to come to Canada. Best lines were "immigrants are not weak people instead they are entrepreneurs wanted to fight". Thank you
A average one bedroom apartment in Toronto is 1000 to 1200 a month a minimum wage workers probably make 1800 hundreds transportation and cell phone about two hundred u left with 6hundreds for food and clothes but if u get a room with roommate would be cheaper but the only way u could buy house if u win the lottery lol
Love your videos. I lived downtown Toronto back in 2015 and was making $11.10 per hour. They gave me a ten cent raise after one year. So glad I am in Calgary. I got $20/hour within two months of getting to Calgary in 2015.
If you're not a tax paying citizen / permanent resident, it's around $15,000 CAD / year and UP, depending on school. You can go onto any Canadian university website and look up International student tuition costs. It's way cheaper than the US, but probably just as good. I think it's free in Germany though 😋
This is just Alberta too You ain't surviving in Toronto with minimum wage even tho it's 14-15hr The normal skilled jobs too aren't getting any increases. The housing is not affordable, the rent is 1100-2000 and most places hydro is not included. The best way to manage and prosper here is if you have a big family, wife/husband, 2 kids or 3, 1 elderly. The parents will bring money, when kids start to work they can contribute too and the elderly can help in household stuff.
3 months living in Canada, working in a one of the most biggest retailers in the country receiving minimum wage, rent, transportation bus or car, foods and other, sadly is imposible to live with minimum wage. In the province is 11. 35, per hour. Even though you earn the minimum wage the deductions, are high too. I thinks it is possible if you are sharing a room with someone but, if you are alone is imposible. Maybe 2 minimum wages or minimum wage and part time very tight
Thank you for that barrage of positivity and valuable intel. Now, as a regular to your channel, I beseech you to shut the engines and take a breather. Dude, you're totally runnin' outta breath. Keep up the good work though!
Great! Absolutly true in most respects. But, to those people who are thinking on coming know this. Your degree or education, unless very specific, will not be well repected. So, train yourself in a second career choice. Get working knowledge of a trade ie.building trades, secretarial, driving etc. These types are what are in demand. You'll start min wage, part time but you'll be in a fluid area and if you have skills soon doing ok. Then start planning on the move to your desired professional area. This is coming from a senior, white male, middle class person whose ancestors came to Canada 120 years ago. Yah, I know, priviledged! Yep! But, I'm aware of me living on the fruits of ancestors and grateful of those lives spent. So, educate yourself, learn english or french(Quebec) and come on in. You are wanted by most of us(I believe). You are doing exactly what all of our ancestors did and you have my respect.
We need low immigration, to high and it puts a burden on our roads for traffic, we have to little of houses available and makes people a dime a dozen. But new immigrants dont care what the those born here have to deal with. Being raised here i must say living in canada is extremely tough. We have high prices here.
Nice useful information once again Igor, I can see yourself being successful with your current job and top of that, TH-cam (if you decide to get verified).
You will have some difficulty living on your own on the minimum wage. You will probably need to have a roommate or roommates. That said, a minimum wage job is a starter job for the young and/or unskilled workers. In general, your earnings will rise fairly quickly if you are a dependable, hard worker.
Atleast You're most honest to tell about basic things that gen. people don't bother to abt inmigrants survival needs, n expenses, thnx a ton. Keep posting lots more. Cheers 👍
Here's the video that I have done on how to find a job. If you search for jobs on these websites you can find it out th-cam.com/video/GQ2FLmhMS_E/w-d-xo.html
I am really appreciating all the info, odd comments esp. I do have a successful skill here, but I wish to take that skill to Canada, and expand. I will do all my homework in the meantime.
Hi Igor i have a question. I am saving to come to Canada to study but ofcourse also to settle there. Is it possible if one is working for minimum wage as a student be able to pay school tuition/fees for him/her self? Suppose i raised money for 1year and would love to come to canada study while working by the end of my 1year if my target is to study 2yrs will have raised the money for another year putting in consideration that am surving on minimum wage?
I'm trying to do the same. I'm planing to do a Master's Degree in Canada and settle there after I graduate here (2 more year - i study geomatics engineering). I'm thinking to go in US next summer with the work and travel program and save money for the first year of study. On the university's webside i see that the first year costs around 14.000 CAD but the second year would be around 4.000 CAD. So I hope it would be enough to save for my first year and working there to be able to settle and pay my second year
No bro.. It's not possible.. As a student, u can earn 1000$ a month. Where u need minimum of 600$ to feed, keep under shulter urself. And where as tution fee it's arround 8-9k$ per sem. You can't pay ur tution fee, with student part time bro.
sruthi kaluri For a Master's degree the tuition fees for the first year is $14,525 CAD and for the second year is $3,693 CAD/year. That's at the University of Calgary
Igor, 10.25$/hour is way more better than my country. I got a master's degree in China.making about 1200 CAD$/month,400$to pay for my room, 400$to pay my food, 150$to pay for my cell phone, and transit. I work from 9 am to 8 pm, six days a week. So, i can't see the difference between my life and minimum wage in Canada. The price of an 70m³ apartment in my city is about 265000CAD. I really wanna to escape
on call doctors that do/process evaluations on individuals get $3000-$8000 for each wright up. i know the guy i know gets between 10 and 38 of them every month and has to reject most of them because he has to take 2-3 years to gather information and run examinations so they cant really do more then 12 at a time, but the people he has to check out are vary unpleasant people... doctors that deal with the kind of people that make everyone want to leave and move to a different country, on average they can casually make $35'000/year but if they are vary dedicated to their work they can make over $160'000/year... but having free time is vary important so most do not make anywhere near that much.
Игорь, добрый день. Слышал, что в Калгари и Эдмонтоне, для работы в Uber необходимо покупать дополнительную страховку и платить дополнительный такс. Так ли это. Спасибо.
Hay Igor, if I am a uber driver in Calgary, Should I be allowed to drive to another province. Like BC. Should I be allowed change province frequently. One week in BC and another week in Alberta.
Igor please make a video on buying a car and insurance. Will we be able to buy a vehicle because its really difficult to travel in winter with a family. Please accept my request

1000$ for rent 1000$ for food and other expenses maybe 1000$ like using transport . So only 1000$ if someone earning 4000$ per month that's not good if someone is migrated to Canada and he wants to send money to his home country

Hey buddy can't we use bycycle as transport rather than walking so much ?
Could you please do a video on what to pack when moving to Canada?
Damn the street is quiet
Thats going to take some getting used to
Very very informative vidio. Thanks.
How long would you say it is tuff when moving to Canada ?
What kind of visa do you need for coming into Canada for the first timer that want to work in Canada
No work visa unless you can prove you have a skill that no one in Canada can fill and an employer will provide you with a job.
U r doing a great job brother....
1000$ for rent 1000$ for food and other expenses maybe 1000$ like using transport . So only 1000$ if someone earning 4000$ per month that's not good if someone is migrated to Canada and he wants to send money to his home country
Rahul Star forget sending money back home if ur working in minimum wages
Can I come on tourist visa and work?
Great video man really helpful and reassuring.😊😊😊
