My mother loved this song. She died unexpectedly in her sleep. After the funeral my brother, his family and mine drove up to the Grand Canyon to scatter her ashes after we were done and started to drive out of the park my wife says "We should have played her favorite song as you guys scattered her ashes, what was it? Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones I replied. We had some small talk for a few minutes then she turned on the radio and Wild horses started to play. Me, my wife and our two teenagers started to sob uncontrollably so much so that I had to pull over. My brother who was following in the car behind us must have thought that I wanted to say something so he pulls up next to my vehicle rolls down his passenger window but before he could say a word I just turned the radio up. I'll never forget the look of pure anguish he had, You've never seen two grown men cry as hard as we did.We all felt her in that moment she was saying good bye.
I'm crying too. My first husband to be and myself were still in high-school and I remembered that song in particular cause when he'd meet me at the bus stop and he in his car he always had Wild Horses playing on the 8 track . In memory of you Terrell Glynn Rogers RIP and there you have it. The perfect ending after all.
I’m 5 days clean from heroin and I’m a total shaky mess…and I just wanted to hear this classic song. And from the first chorus I just started bawling. It’s a beautiful song.
This is one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever heard in my life. 🥺 Life is full of heartaches and pain but each day we have to wake up and realize we are here for a reason. I’m praying for anyone who is going through their own battles and struggles.🙏🏽For one day may we all be set free from all this pain. 2023 here.💯
To me, this is a song not only about the bittersweetness of a mortal life with the ones we love, but about the mistakes we make, the time we take for granted, the innocence of imperfection, the strength and depth of hope in the face of a life bound to test us, fuck us up and ultimately undo us. It's a song about the things that remain, even after desecration, separation and death. Immortality, and mortality, woven together in this beautiful song. It gently speaks of the bonds of love that stay, even though time together will end. It seems to talk about the whole world, yet always feels so profoundly personal to whoever listens to it.

Thank God they removed the dislike count. Maybe I won't have to see this kind of comment anymore that demands that _every single person in the world_ appreciates the same thing as they do. There's nearly 32 *million* views on this video, and you get your panties in a twist over 7 thousand of them (roughly 2 in ten thousand), many of whom maybe didn't even hit the button they were looking for, or were too young to understand, or demented or whatever. Your perspective (or lack of it) is quite insane.
Played this song at my dear Wife's funeral. She died at the young age of 60 years from cancer. The most beautiful person and soul in the World for me. She's my soul mate. . We will be together again!!❤❤❤❤❤
This is one of my wife's favorite songs too, she used to sing it at karaoke. I'm sitting with her now at the hospital, just watching her. Cancer I feel your pain.

My dads favorite song by his favorite band. Louis Boyer passed away the morning of nov.9 2020 in his sleep. Peacefully on his fishing boat catching that great big trophy fish forever in my mind. I love you dad, your fishing partner, your son

Played this at my lovely husband's funeral during lockdown April 2020. I wasn't even allowed to touch his coffin to say goodbye. This song will always make me cry.
Holy Father in Christ name please save and heal and comfort Helen heart mind soul and body. Amen. I am so sorry for you loss and these stupid restrictions that will not even allow you to grieve. God bless you and keep you held tight in his arms.
I am so sorry for your loss, but pretty sure you touched his heart for as long as you were together. Stay strong Helen. A coffin is a box the remains of the soul goes in. You have your husband in spirit, and soul ever day dear lady. Sending you hugs

Just a brilliant song, I’ve been loving the stones for 60 years and seen them 7 times from Hyde park in 69 to Hyde park in 22 , and this can move me to tears every time.
Reading these comments I'm sitting here in tears, all the beautiful tributes. I guess it's therapeutic, music is amazing one of the best things we as humans have done.
miss Joann, My guess is you lost your son. I find strength in my lord and savior Jesus, Im going to pray for you and your beautiful son. Im sorry for your pain, losing your child has to be so horrible, my heart goes out to you
I’m really starting to understand that in life, you just got to except things. I can’t let every little inconvenience make me feel like the worlds over. I’m learning to focus on & appreciate what I do have, instead of worrying about the bs. There’s still a lot I have to work over, but things are OK. Just gotta keep going.
i've been dealing with major health issues for a very long time now. what gets me through ,is acceptance but more importantly a focus on gratitude and being genuinely thankful even on those bad days. life is good and remembering that humbly will serve you well! peace!
Childhood living Is easy to do The things you wanted I bought them for you Graceless lady You know who I am You know I can't let you Slide through my hands Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses Couldn't drag me away I watched you suffer A dull aching pain Now you've decided To show me the same No sweeping exit Or offstage lines Could make me feel bitter Or treat you unkind Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses Couldn't drag me away I know I've dreamed you A sin and a lie I have my freedom But I don't have much time Faith has been broken Tears must be cried Let's do some living After we die Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses We'll ride them some day Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses We'll ride them some day
A good friend took her life this week because she couldn’t live with the pain anymore 😢 She was a awesome barrel racer, wonderful woman just through and through but she couldn’t handle hurting inside anymore❤️ Rest easy sweet lady ! Your riding those wild horses in the sky
It' strange, some of the best songs that come from some of the 60's & 70's bands came out when they where the most strung out. God bless the ones who are still w/us!
+John Toothill Jr. I agree! Today's music is loud, hard and a lot of it is yelled with no true meaning or feeling. (my opinion) Bands like The Stones, Zepplin, Doors, Kansas, Heart, Journey, Boston, Alan Parson's, Santana....they ALL gave use great music. Songs with words that made sense and could be felt by the heart! lol We went from that music to head banging, heavy metal, rap, etc... I got NO feeling for any of that! lol
+John Toothill Jr. I agree completely! Music today are just not from the heart, and generally lack inspiration. As a former junkie, I know the worlds drugs can open up your minds to. They are a known creative impetus. They later bring hell. But this is a masterpiece." God bless the ones who are still with us " amen!
Played this song at my grandad’s funeral as he sadly passed away recently, he loved this song as well as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles etc and played it when he was younger as he was a hippie at the time. This song now resonates with me so much. November 1949-April 2024
I will love and miss you forever mom, wild horses could never drag you away... 06/26/1968-11/21/2019 my heart will be forever broken without you. Rest easy mom.
I used to hear this song and love it so much, then one day, I played it really loud in my room and my mother ran in and said : “THAT WAS MY DAD’S FAVOURITE SONGS ! This song has so much more emotion for me now ❤
I spent the night with a lady that had a few years on me and it was one of those times you don’t forget and I remember waking up in the morning and this was playing. It’s probably one of those things I’ll never forget.

I'm in the same boat as you.my father died in April of this year and we were unable to have any type of funeral or service for him. I come here to listen to this song every so often to remember my father. Makes me cry every time but It reminds me of him and makes me happy at the same time. I hope you're doing well and I'm sorry for your loss.
@@anthonybrnjac5631 Thank you! Im sorry for your loss! Some days are good, but others. Are so hard, i just sit and play music that reminds me of him! Always hold on to your memories of him 😇
11 years ago my father died in my house in my arms while I was performing CPR. After, me and my brother were cleaning out his room we put one of his old records and when Wild Horses came on My 5 closest friends walked into the room and started to cry. We were overwhelmed with emotions and couldn’t help but cry. This song will forever remind me of the day my dad died and the friends that came that day to make it feel better. Love you always dad and grateful to have the friends I have ❤
The Stones' best ballad, hands down. For those of us still alive when this was released, it's a true touchstone to that time.....Dylan, The Band, The Beatles, The Dead were all into this rootsy bluesy grit and drama. It was great.
My parents love the Rolling Stones I grew up listening to them and it's a band that hits my heart, it hits the core of me. I guess I came on here to vent out my emotions because life can get rough at times and I'm having a bad week. reading some of the comments gave me comfort to know I'm not the only human being who feels this way right now. This is for any human being who may be feeling the same way I do. Love yourself because nobody else will. Find beauty in the little things. Some day...
me too. i didnt even realize it becuz my mind was clouded by the gangsta rap era of the 80s and 90s. which i still enjoy, but boy i missed alot of yrs of actually hearing rock n roll, i grew up with my dad which is a classic rock all the way, and the stones, floyd, 3 dog night and lynard skynard and of course the few main great bands. was always feed rock n roll growing up so i already had a love for it i didnt realize til probably 25. im 35 in april. sitting in the truck after a late night gym session jamming when i should probably have my ass in bed. lol
+rick rich I think we all get off track. our minds drift, become clouded, and we forget our roots. but some how like lost sheep we wander back to our home.
I was a church organist, and I was blessed to perform this song at the funeral of my uncle, who was a huge Rolling Stones fan. We performed it with my father... He played the guitar and sang, and I helped him by playing the organ... We all cried... It was almost 7 years ago, but I remember it as if it were today. Rest in peace, uncle...
This is a song that i would hear as a kid. My dad would play it and hearing it now brings back so much of him. He passed in 2016 at 57 years young. Was my best friend!! But songs like this playing while i close my eyes brings be back to those times and im grateful.
I'm truly sorry for your lost Sandy. 2 and half years ago, I lost mine after 26 years. So, I have been there also. And the holidays make it even more painful. She LOVED Christmas 🎄! Like you miss him, I'm missing her. Hugs.
So sorry for your loss. It must feel so raw, especially this time if the year. Take each day at a time. Allow yourself to grieve. Music is a good medicine to take.

Bruno Prous Stones played in Buffalo, NY 6 times That Buffalo that gets tons of snow every winter & lost 4 Superbowls. I like some 70s bands are still playing. ZZ TOP just played at our county fair. Are winters are bad we average 10 feet almost every winter. That 1977 Blizzard we got 19 feet from Lake Erie. City & Schools closed for 3 weeks. Wasn't funny the whole country was calling us SNOW CAPITAL OF USA. My 55 years here theres always a WHITE XMAS
one of my favorites,I have so many,I do like this one, Mick is amazing how he's still strutting his dancing on stage, unbelievable 80yrs old, it's looking after yourself,Love you Mick 💜

My brother, Colm's favourite song. He used to play it and sing it all the time. Seems strangely poignant now. But the feeling is good. I'll always remember him whenever I hear this tune. Thanks uploader!

I saw wild horses in Rock Springs Wyoming. I stopped my Jeep ... Hung my head and cried tears of joy. They were completely content and peaceful grazing ...
Jared omg..damn that's on my bucket list.. the way you worded that made me long to experience it even more 💓 I want to see them running in the wind.. their wild manes flying in the wind and hear the pounding of their hooves against the earth. Thanks for sharing that.X
A long time ago on the East side of the Flaming Gorge Dam I saw a herd of Appaloosa running, when two stallions turned to have it out. We watched them for about 30 minutes as they tore into each other for control of the herd. Magnificent creatures.
Thank you for your comment, I haven't thought about that in a long time. I was living in Green River at the time, working in the mines. My in laws were with us and they had never seen wild horses before. We don't own this world, we are stewards, it is our moral obligation to pass it on in better shape than we received it so that our grandchildren may see wild horses.
I haven’t been able to stop loving a man from 35 years ago , he married another and I can’t stop thinking about him even though I have prayed for decades for God to heal me. I love you Brad , blessings to you my friend!!

This song reminds me of my first love, we danced to this song on our first date. Almost 20 years ago, Damm. I got me crying again, thanks for all the love and memories sweet Wendy. Always in you're debt, for showing me what love is.
I'm glad I got the five wonderful years at such a young impressionable time. That love showed me more about the world then I could have ever noticed at the time. Life isn't fair, loosing my wife to cancer changed me forever. How ever Love, life, friendship and family can all end at any moment. Their all better understood be me as individual journeys. Even the best journeys can and most likely at some point end. Live in the now. For the future are scenes that are not reality but yet visions of preconceived agreements and expectations. The past is gone second by second. Learn and love and leave the past in the past as classes for knowledge for the right now. "God" gives us nothing we can't handle. It just sucks he trusts ME so much! LOL!!!! RIP Shannan forever my four leave clover!
bird schulba ... Your a beautiful soul... You will Love again... It's why we are here. She showed you Love so you would instantly understand it..... At this point. She is Beautiful.
Just wanted to remind everyone how special they(we) are and that God and our Lord Jesus loves HIS chosen faithful beyond words to infinity. He will never forsake us nor give us more than we can handle. Spiritually lets all , at the moment you read this, dig deep qnd stay in that special place within our souls and remain, comforted and protected until , through our connection, the Lord shows us where else we need to be. Myself and I have faith others are already there, we will wait until all of us are together and together we will stay! I love you!

I’m 2 weeks off of Alcohol, I’m only 14 but it’s messed my life up in horrible ways, I remember I just got out of a relationship and the night she broke up with me, My Grandma passed away the same night, I remember getting home and playing this song and broke down, I just want everyone to know it’s ok to ask for help and it’s ok to be sad, it’s ok to reach your hand out, whether it’s addiction, Abuse, tough relationships, don’t be afraid to reach out, God bless whoever is reading this and keep hope.
Hang in there, you're young and still have so much time to make a difference in the world. Life can be hard and I know it's hard to believe it but there will be as many good times as hard ones. Take time to enjoy the good times.
You're wise beyond your years. God made you that way because you've already experienced some major losses. However, you sound like a true survivor. I hope you're still clean and sober. Life is complex and going through it straight is so much easier in the long run. Thank you for the blessings and God bless you too!
I have listened to Wild Horses every day in the car for years and every time I'm on YT at home, which is quite a lot at the moment. Thank you, Charlie Watts, for your impeccable timing, your wonderful musicianship, your humbleness, your down to earthness and the antithesis of a "Rolling Stone" as it was you, SIR, that has kept the wonder of the Rolling Stones together. So many people love and respect you. And you will NEVER be forgotten. RIP

Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things you wanted
I bought them for you
Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Slide through my hands
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you've decided
To show me the same
No sweeping exit
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I know I've dreamed you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time
Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
Thx
Thank for writing this song
Well done

I got NO feeling for any of that! lol
Kind of weird hu, my father said that about that when i was young about our music!
+Bonnie Posey Stop spreading juvenoia. Open your mind. Theres some amazing music out every day.
+The Legend of Seph YOU Make Me Little CREEP! YOU want attention???? Go somewhere else and get it. Nobody wants you here. dumb ass
+John Toothill Jr. I agree completely! Music today are just not from the heart, and generally lack inspiration. As a former junkie, I know the worlds drugs can open up your minds to. They are a known creative impetus. They later bring hell. But this is a masterpiece." God bless the ones who are still with us " amen!

better to have loved and lost than never loved at all
I'm glad I got the five wonderful years at such a young impressionable time. LOL!!!!

This is the song that unites people with their most precious memories
That was so Honorable OF You, To play That Song , God bless The Both of you, I'm Sure She's Smiling Down on you wherever you are. Your A Good Man !
I love you!
My favorite stones song!
So sad to hear after my Dad who was a big stones fan passed away in last month and now Charlie Watts.may they both R.I.P and hang out together! 😥💔
This song always seems to apply to something or ... someone in my life. The older I get, the younger this classic lullaby feels
RIP
My favorite Stones song. Brilliant!
My daughter is a great singer and in a band. She sings this for me everytime she plays out. I love this song so much. I wish you all could hear her sing this. She's amazing. I cry every time she sings it.
My 11 year old boy loves this song and never tired of listening. It's a masterpiece indeed!!
