My goodness! I'm happy your painful suffering ended, especially with puppy love. Your planned colorwork seems exciting! All the best to you and your sweet pup.
Oh my gosh, I had the same experience with huge kidney stones. IMHO giving birth is less painful than kidney stones. Stints and surgery needed as well. They analyzed mine and found black tea was the culprit. I've been super careful ever since and have been kidney stone free since 2001.
@@nadinedetain6765 Yes the oxalates in tea and other foods can cause them. I used to drink tea all day every day. I mainly only drink herbal teas now because all regular teas that used black or green tea have higher oxalate levels but I've been known to treat myself to an nice cup of Earl Grey on occasion.
Such a great thing you used the darker lot for the sleeves on your "Natsumi" sweaterby Yoko Hatta. So sorry about your health issues, nice you are back in shape !
I love you shirt/dress(?) Print! It's so good on you. I have a sideways cable knit in my queue, I even swatched for it already, just waiting for me. This is great motivation. Ouch!! I know that pain and I've given birth (last one was so painful and scary). I can share that it's probably the only thing that comes close to the pain of child birth is having a kidney stone. And, naturally, it's different for everyone so kidney stone might be worse for some.
My goodness thankfully that is over , the passage of a stone from kidney to bladder is more than anyone can bear. :( Once it hits the bladder you are smooth sailing , larger exit
Your projects are glorious, and your stories are wild! I highly recommend an alarm system if you don't have one yet... the peace of mind is worth the cost. I had a weird guy knock on my door and ask if he could stay the night. Um... no! Who are these people? Your health system story is all too familiar, I think if it makes you feel better we in the states pay for monthly insurance premiums, experience the exact same lack of assistance/concern, and get a huge bill for it. It's a nightmare accessing care. 15 years ago every doctor was pushing opioids for every minor thing, and now if you say you're in pain they regard you as a lying addict trying to get drugs. We all deserve so much better. Glad Embla makes things easier, and also that is probably the best dress in the world.
I like the fit of your cardi, I am pear shaped so I have a difference of two sizes from shoulders to high hip so I know exactly what you mean. Ragland has been great but sometimes I like a more tailored fit.
I think I must have narrow shoulders and have recently discovered that, for a top down sweater, I like to cast on a smaller size and increase to the number for my size when the neck is is done.
A friend has both given birth without medication and passed a kidney stone. She says the kidney stone was much worse. Embla is just so adorable. I have one dog that fits the stereotype. If I'm ill, she is very concerned and very gentle (Newfoundland). The other dog? I swear he becomes even more hyperactive than usual (Gordon Setter) and he bounces off me with his front feet like he's trying to shake whatever is wrong out of me. "C'mon Mom! Get up. You're OK."
I feel really bad for your unpleasant health journey. I know 2 people who have lost their spouse from heart attack because the ambulance didn‘t come, in the Midlands. Getting into the NHS system is horrific, though the quality is generally medically good once you‘re in, but definitely not always. So many horror stories from friends and my own experience with my mother and grandmother, it makes me so angry. A few months ago I experienced a medical emergency in Switzerland that was the polar opposite… but in bigger cities it‘s not perfect here, either, we are lucky to be in a smaller town with a brand new hospital like a 5* hotel 😮 - even if you only have basic insurance (we do pay for that, it‘s the only obligatory cost of living…). I know where I‘d rather be 😳 Embla is just such s cutie, she must make up for a lot, living in the UK 🫣 I couldn‘t do it any more 🥴
I had two kidney stones , one in each kidney. I went to the ER and they admitted me in the hospital immediately because I could have had both kidneys fail. It was the worst pain, I've ever experienced. I have had natural child birth, and this was way worse.

Gosh Eli that's a lot!!
Aww you poor thing! I'm so glad you have such a sweet heart to take good care of you!
Love your flowered blouse. I’m trying to get my knitting mojo back, so nice to enjoy a podcast from you. Thank you, love your pup
I'm here for the caption!😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🧶

Gosh ! Black tea being the culprit for that ? I will fear from now on drinking Earl Grey all day long 😢😢😢

Wow! Hope this week is much better.💕
I envy you for having chosen to leave your home country, privilege of working with internet. Thank you for your beautiful patterns.
Your cardigan is beautiful!
Time for life to calm down 🤭. Stay well!
I am so glad that you are feeling better.
Love your 2 new sweaters!! I hope you get a break from all of the drama of having unknown visitors and kidney stones Eli!!
That brown Stockbridge Cardigan looks so good on you
You did have a tough week! I like the look of the Clint shawl but then I thought about sewing in all the ends...
Oh goodness. Been there with a huge kidney stone and it was absolutely miserable! So sorry you had to go through all of that.
So sorry about the kidney stone. I know what that feels like as I get them regularly. I like your new sweater.

IV paracetamol is very potent ✔️ Glad they sorted you out Ellie.

If you like historically inspired comedic dramas, The Great and Serpent Queen are both good.
