    I love the plane, train and helipter noises. Don't worry about them.

    To ease your mind, I do not find the noise distracting from what you are saying. Don’t worry about it!

    I have a red face too and people have asked me if I’m sick when I haven’t had coverage! So annoying. You also have a charming accent and I’m happy you don’t sound American!!❤❤

    I had MANY conversations about accents when I lived in Sweden for a few years, and what made me laugh as you were talking about your accent is that the way the Swedes talk about the Norwegian accent, it's like how the Scots and English talk about the Irish accent - so maybe it's the natural thing to hear with your accent! Though I'm Scottish and people sometimes thought I was Irish too, so maybe people just like Irish accents the most...

    That’s so cute! ~ the 50’s sweater. Love the colors. It’s wonderful that you have over 24 thousand subscribers! I had not paid attention! Love your designs 💕

    You are a delight, Eli! Love your sweaters-both the purple and that rich natural brown. And your design/modification talk-I think your yoke will be fine with the short rows you did-I think I have made a sweater with SR below the yoke that also made me wonder about that sleeve asymmetry. Fine, it will be fine😂!

    OMGosh! I love that first sweater! The purple is just so yummy! We are on a flight path. We live in a rural area, but are on the flight path to the major airport in our state. Sometimes it seems as if the planes are just skimming the tops of the trees. We used to live up the street from the train tracks on a busy street, near the hospital. That was much noisier! When I was in Norway, I did not get a Marius sweater, but I believe that hat I purchased has the design. I was in and near Stavanger....

    I understand the desire for roving. Our general store carries Briggs and Little Country Roving. I want to knit with it but the gauge is 11 st to 4 inces and I am having trouble finding a pattern I love. Also the price is great.

    • @CloTricots
      @CloTricots 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Country Roving has 5 strands so if you're interested in spending a little time separating some strands, you can do a whole lot of different gauges with it. If you separate some it also means soooooo much yardage for the price. You just can beat it!

    Ellie, check with a dermatologist. You may have Rosacea. I had it but just thought I had rosy cheeks. A prescription ointment cleared it up.

    Oh you have to do a large gauge coat in the same colorwork motif! That would look amazing! Well at least I think so!!!

    50's and 60's sweaters were HORRIBLE for sizing, and sleeves were floppy. Even when I started knitting with Vogue Knitting in the 1980s they were about the same. I am the same about yoke vs hips I want my yokes to be snug but my bust and hips are bigger-my shoulders are small. I love the yarn you're working with on your WIP. It's lovely!
    And OOOOH I love unspun yarn! Especially when it still smells super sheepy!!

    Your rant about your accent made me laugh so much. After 10 years in the uk I’ve had the same rant so many times! A lot of people say it’s because my English is fluent so they forget I’m Norwegian. 😂

    Oh my! I love your version of the Cortina so very much. Have tried looking for the pattern with not much luck (uk based). Any ideas how to get it? Otherwise, could you turn this into a Skeindeer pattern( if it’s allowed re copyright)? I love your versions of these Norwegian 🇳🇴 patterns

    I find you very funny. Love your videos. Question for you - how much wool do you need to buy, if you don’t have the yarn to do a gage swatch yet ? I’m thinking that if my gage is way off, and I’ve already bought the yarn, potentially could I need another ball ?

    • @SkeindeerKnits
      @SkeindeerKnits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! I would suggest getting gauge. It's a common misconception that we swatch to find out what gauge we get with the recommended needle size. But we're "supposed" to swatch to find out what needle size we NEED to get gauge. Getting the pattern gauge is way more important than using whatever needle size the designer/sample knitter used. I hope that's helpful!

      Your current wip is very intricate and very beautiful. One interesting fact to note is historically the Norsemen (who are Your ancestors) actually invaded, conquered Ireland. Some of them probably settled and integrated there. So being distant blood relatives, its not surprising that you should be mistakenly perceived to be irish. Some unndeniable truth about it though. 😊❤❤❤

    Takk for episoden. Du kommer til å kose deg SÅÅÅÅÅ med det uspunne garnet. Og jeg tenker du har mer enn nok, Jeg har brukt det til en stor genser og ikke brukt to kaker. Og vet du de har kommet med nye farger.....
