The Previous owner was a friend of mine, The car got me started on Mk2's. I'm mega glad the guy is actually nice and learnt about the car! I know this car in and out and i'm glad he remembers all the mods! The Turbo is actually an Owen Developments M spec GTX2867R! Made 380hp at stock displacement!

Long gears and not enough revs, you can tell it wants to keep going. If they raised the rev limit to 7.5-8k it'd probably still be in boost when you upshift... if they've spent what they say they've spent I'm sure the engine can handle a little extra revs.
That's because they are ... understandably... shortshifting it bad!! If he would run out second more... third would hit in boost... and they would be in the trees.... would love to see what it could do on an open road!! Sick golf!! :)
MeesterDash mk2 golfs are notorious for that mate and the big bumper bracket needs replaced so it sits flush,they don’t sit that great from factory but his is sagging and needs done,lovely car but 👍
This is a type of car u keep in the family, I understand he's young an just wants the money out of it. But when he's older he'll probably regret selling it. The misses is probably nudging him to sell it. Awesome car,well worth asking price.

Couldn't of happened to a nicer fella , lovely car but for me would need a 4mo conversion with that sort of power . I had a jazz blue MK2 GTI 16v (H49 ELK) as my 2nd car when I was 18. Was an amazing driver , drove like it was on rails but was a massive money pit and I was young so moved it on.
lovely golf, for me tho a bog standard 16v is fast enough if a mk2, obviously with a few tweeks, u can do so much with a 16v lump to get it quicker, my old 1 was 0-60 in 7 secs with just k,n filter and a chip , loved it 120mph in 3rd no problem haha, but respect to all mk2 owners for keeping them on the road, but have to say the best thing about a mk2 was their engines

Bam is better stock engine but you'll be wanting the larger ports from the AGU when you want real power. ;)
