Hahaha. As a lifelong Vancouver resident who often commutes from the light blue houses to the light blue businesses on the North Shore, I can only dream of the luxury of having more than two bridges across the Burrard inlet! In real life, there are only two bridges and rush hour traffic is harrowing!
Yay, mini motorways!! I used to live in Vancuver, and can confirm the roads are a mess, tehre's bridges everywhere, but there's one thing that mini motorways doesn't have that vancouver does have.................... SO MANY ONE WAY STREETS

@@dinopoloclub Love to see that your opinions are based as your games are, Mini Motorways shows so well how a society depending solely on cars is really bad and sad
what is this even supposed to mean? you mean theyre sponsoring tyler so he shows it to his audience and they go and play it? wowowow thats almost like the entire point of sponsoring someone. so so their audience interacts with your product
now you've jinxed it, next video is going to be giant pulsing red circles with the screen covered in flashing neon arrows pointing to it, specifically to spite you
@@hi7535 you must have a nice life outside the internet then. cus on here everything is big red circles and arrows pointing at the circle that covers shit up. literally in my recommended bar on the right side of this video right now theres 4 videos with big red circles, big red arrows, or both.
Just played this level yesterday, I felt continuously stressed out from never having as many bridges as I wanted, but still managed to get 2653 points my first try, which means I just barely beat you!
This and the fact that the only way to really play the game is to try and keep everything as disconnected as possible for as long as possible. Each house can be fully served by a single destination. As a traffic manager game, I had hoped to see things like induced demand, one more lane sickness, high density zoning, and maybe rush hour. Instead it's more like slow inexorable dive into unreasonable impatience and a thousand little issues that you don't have the time, space, or resources to fix. :/
@TlalocTemporal As with the "mini" in the name, it's only meant to be rather minimalist and not a full-scale traffic management game with all the wrinkles that entails. I do wish a studio stepped up and made that game at some point though
@@thetechw1z -- Induced demand would be easy to see, even as the game is now, if only the AI actually tried to take short routes instead of seemingly radom valid routes. "One more lane" could be taught with wider roads that have two lanes. I suppose the truth of that not being helpful for throughput defeats the purpose of being in the game though... High density zoning would also be easy to add, even zoning in general. Perhaps as difficulty options; where businesses and houses spawn are more related to where available housing and open parking are available in walkable mode, while businesses and houses try to spawn as far apart as possible in suburb mode. Rush hour might be a map-specific thing, with synchronized pin generation in waves. Just based on how the game works, that could make edits easier in the dead hours, but would require more foresight as things go wrong very rapidly. That's ways these things could be specifically _added_ though, while I'd like to see a game where these are intrinsic or even emergent properties of the game. Something halfway between Cities: Skylines and Mini Metro I think.
Every time I see someone play this, I go wow maybe I should get it, and then I realize it's a game that you have to play for an unknown amount of time. It's too RNG how long you last for. Like maybe I want to play for an hour and get frustrated after like 20 minutes or the inverse where I only have time for one game and it lasts for an hour

this is the second video i've watched of the vancouver map and both have failed in stanley park, where irl theres nothing there but trees, a bridge, a few roads, and a cool seawall
Omg Tyler! I used to watch you 10 years ago, playing BTD Battles and such! You were one of my idols growing up. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your channel again!
While I don’t have the game yet, I have watched all of your videos on this game as well as some from a few others. A strategy I have thought about is using the surplus of roads you start out with and get each week to “reserve” strategic real estate, especially along waterfronts in order to prevent businesses and houses from spawning in awkward and unusable spaces and to allow for better bridge accessibility.
I use this strategy sparingly. Some people used to block the whole map so the houses and destinations spawned ONLY where they wanted them to. I play this game too much, so some maps you can get a feel of the progression and preemptively place roads to avoid certain traps. I just had a new PB in Manilla, and I know that level has a way of spawning houses at the bottom left coastline that WILL SCREW ME OVER if I don't put a road alongside it as soon as I'm able. Same thing with the Wellington map, and the Rio de Janeiro map. It is a very useful strategy when in small doses. You can also use diagonal roads to block 3x2 spaces in the grid where it would be very bad for a destination to spawn. I also do that a lot.
I love this game. When one buisness overflows, it can cause others to overflow as well (at least this used to be true). The pins are sort of all "shared"
It's so weird seeing Vancouver mentioned (WHATS A DOLLAR BILL RAAAAA). But man. Traffic really is a nightmare because it's filtered through like 5 bridges which makes them always a bit busy, and you're just screwed if something blocks one you're on. The skytrains are getting expanded tho (no they don't fly; yes I wish they did).
Scrolling on steam and found a game called Dungeon Clawer, A rouge-like game about claw machines, and this game is pretty good after trying it out, so maybe play it, idc if you don’t
i want a city optimization for bikelanes, have yo avoid idiot cars and narrow ass turns and people walking on the the bike paths. and treess growing over . and the bridge that is falling apart. (random examples...)
It's funny: I'm pretty sure the thing that ended up killing him in this run was an unnecessary connection between two yellow neighborhoods. The buisness at the top could've been separated from the others without issue, but I bet because it wasn't there were a bunch of yellow cars taking long trips and clogging everything.
If they really want to Make people cry. They should try to force you to recreate Houston Texas.... They would need to add one-way Streets. All of the one-way streets.
thats crazy that Tyler just comes up with Mini Motorways with :) I dont hate tbh good sponser, "Hate" the game thought cuz i have a heart rate of a bagillion everytime lol
You'd be surprised how good city transport would already be, just with infinite budget and perfect henchman. I assure you that whatever gets built is never the vision of the transport planner.
@ryan-uk6jf no....not Pablo, ANYONE BUT HIM Edit, the joke is NSFW, read if ya dare rom gmod from vanos gaming, back when TH-cam was...young, mini ladd was joking about some very.... very child pron (switch o and r) and it ended up he was attracted to them irl when he got...weird and lewd with his 16 year old assistant, he basically did what a Barber does, groom
You still had traffic lights to spare for the t-shaped chokepoint near the big business. That seemed like the bottleneck that killed throughput to yellows both ways. I think it might have helped, but I'm not sure if it would have saved the yellow business that ended the game.
15:47 I dont get why you didnt just connect the really close grey houses to the grey building, and then motorway the further away houses to the grey building across the harbour. This wouldve saved you a bridge and a lot of travel distance for the grey cars, plus it would've piped a lot more grey houses to the skysraper where the regular building would've had less, as opposed to the other way around. Maybe you just missed it, which is fine, but it looked like an intentional decision and I would think it would be obvious to connect the houses that are right next to the building to that building, and I'm wondering if it was intentional what the thought process was.
Shows 3 comments and yet there's none so here I am, got here in under 40 seconds. Over all id like to thank my lack of a life for this great achievement
I've never been a fan of this game for the bullcrap spawns of things... really don't know why they made it so things could spawn on the opposite side of the map from each other NotLikeThis
If they wanted it to be realistic Vancouver they would have a ton of luxury condos with nobody living in them.
If they wanted a realistic Vancouver then they shouldn’t have made anything because Canada isn’t real
Or just have homeless people and heroin needles laying everywhere!
Lol
Hahaha. As a lifelong Vancouver resident who often commutes from the light blue houses to the light blue businesses on the North Shore, I can only dream of the luxury of having more than two bridges across the Burrard inlet! In real life, there are only two bridges and rush hour traffic is harrowing!
Thank the Chinese and corrupt leaders for that.
Oh man, I missed this game. Optimizing every little thing can be so satisfying. But I suck at it, so I just watch videos like this.
Mini transport: The ultimate mini traffic simulator, where you get to add bike lanes to your roads and get booed out of your office for doing so
UDG
Yay, mini motorways!! I used to live in Vancuver, and can confirm the roads are a mess, tehre's bridges everywhere, but there's one thing that mini motorways doesn't have that vancouver does have.................... SO MANY ONE WAY STREETS
Happy to see this game again!
Me to!
Close yo eyes, you crying yet?
Same. I’ve been watching him since 1872! Glad to see a classic game back.

This game is practically a horror game when you consider that some real life cities actually develop like this
Thank you for understanding the secret thesis of the game! Cities with only cars are a nightmare, folks :D
@@dinopoloclubWAIT A MINUTE
@@dinopoloclubWHY R U HERE
@@dinopoloclubHUH WHY ARE THE MAKERS OF THE GAME IN THE COMMENT SECTION
@@dinopoloclub Love to see that your opinions are based as your games are, Mini Motorways shows so well how a society depending solely on cars is really bad and sad
3:23 this is probably why they always come to you to get sponsored
what is this even supposed to mean? you mean theyre sponsoring tyler so he shows it to his audience and they go and play it? wowowow thats almost like the entire point of sponsoring someone. so so their audience interacts with your product
@@khitboksy3689 you are missing the point of the joke entirely
Disagree. 2:17 is why they sponsored him.
@@Ben-fl6rf xD sure
I love how the editor shows us what Tyler’s talking about with subtler edits like the sparkle thing instead of a giant red circle
now you've jinxed it, next video is going to be giant pulsing red circles with the screen covered in flashing neon arrows pointing to it, specifically to spite you
I can't imagine being bothered by red circles
@@hi7535it's just something to appreciate that the editor takes time to invest into the theme of the game itself
Wait what? I don't think I saw that at all!
When?
@@hi7535 you must have a nice life outside the internet then. cus on here everything is big red circles and arrows pointing at the circle that covers shit up. literally in my recommended bar on the right side of this video right now theres 4 videos with big red circles, big red arrows, or both.
if they haven't already they should add Montreal as the ultimate challenge with a new mechanic "road closed due to construction"
road works?
i sure hope it does!
hahahaha!
FU
:D It is such a joy to have you back! Edit: omg how many typos can fit in a nine word post? ANYWAY, thanks so much for playing for us!
I absolutely LOVE this game. If you see this, please add more things like buses!
Maybe they could be slower but clear 3 pins instead of 1
I love the editing so much, the zoom in whenever Tyler redirects roads and the sparkles on the buildings showing up is so nice
1:54 this edit got a chuckle out of me, good job Ben :)
Ive been waiting for another episode for one year
10 months since the last one, close enuff

So happy you’re playing this again!
Just played this level yesterday, I felt continuously stressed out from never having as many bridges as I wanted, but still managed to get 2653 points my first try, which means I just barely beat you!
That game still has the same issue it always had for me.
There is no end!
You are doomed to lose in a very stressful and unsatisfying manner.
You have to admit though, "doomed to lose in an unsatisfying manner" almost perfectly sums up car dependency, lol
Perfect demonstration of the nightmare that is using only cars
And also poor city planning...
Forced. Sprawl.

I just finsihed watching all the old videos.
Ben's edit is very good, you can feel the difference in edit level to one year ago. GJ.
thank you mini motorways for sponsoring. always a pleasure to watch tyler play this game
Welcome back we enjoy this game
Take your time with the uploads! Play what you want and enjoy the content! Relaxing with a video from you is always a great time 👍
hey tyler, both peglin and dungeons & degenerate gamblers have had massive updates, would love to see them on the channel again.
Its been a while since you last played mini motorways. Glad to see it back after so long.
hilarious commentary on this one! happy to see this game again too (you should make more episodes)
I hope you enjoy returning to this, as the community has shown we want you to do what’s best for you. Glad to see any content as long as you’re happy.
the synchronized panic of particular colors are called "surges" and happen after you reach a certain score
this is the second video i've watched of the vancouver map and both have failed in stanley park, where irl theres nothing there but trees, a bridge, a few roads, and a cool seawall
That used to work! But now, if the game detects you doing that, it massively ramps up the difficulty.
Vancouver has the Skytrain.
The way this came out at the PERFECT time for me and my emotional state
I love this game. When one buisness overflows, it can cause others to overflow as well (at least this used to be true). The pins are sort of all "shared"
As a Vancouver aficionado, I do declare that this is exactly how Vancouver looks like.
I didn't know Aliensrock was the president of Canada
Sorry that was mean
Excuse you, Canada doesn't have a president!
We have a Vice King.
Good to hear they're sponsoring you again for it! Get to make some DOSH while you play!
I love watching you play this game, please play more
As a Canadian, I agree that Vancouver desperately needs some optimization. Toronto even more so, but Vancouver is a nice medium difficulty
I love this game and for the first time I have seen a video under a hour this game is awesome
Lens Flare editor pointing >>> Expanding Circle/Ripple
Love seeing my hometown represented!
Many Mega moats of men in manhattan missed mini motorways in may
Try saying that 5x fast
I love this game and how you play it... but the editing is killer in this video!
Puzzle god.
Seriously, how is this possible to be this good at puzzle solving?
Keep up the good work editors! You guys killing it with the amazing edits! 🎉🎉
Scrolling on steam and found a game called Dungeon Clawer, A rouge-like game about claw machines, and this game is pretty good after trying it out, so maybe play it, idc if you don’t
Tyler, star stuff is officially out and it's gonna be so fun watching you play through that if you are
A war has been started traffic lights vs round abouts him vs RCE .
i want a city optimization for bikelanes, have yo avoid idiot cars and narrow ass turns and people walking on the the bike paths. and treess growing over . and the bridge that is falling apart. (random examples...)
I am from Vancouver and I am literally scrolling through the video to see if this even looks like Vancouver
hell yeah this game was the reason I found your channel!
Oooo wasn’t expecting this nice surprise!
12:11 of course it is looking like a pretty civilized society. It's in Canada 😀
can't wait for the isles of sea and sky series !!!
Tyler, I love your wacky animations 😊
Really liked the editing on this one
I was just playing this again and it's soooooo good. Dopamine gold rush
I have just started playing this again this week.
Great video 👍
Thanks trudy for the bridges 🙏
This is the game that introduced me to you!
The next game could be called Mini Metropolis, mixing up Metro and Motorway mechanics
Can’t believe they added NL mode
Hi love your vids .Star stuff is out and it is amazing
those are some mini motorways
im such a big spacehead (thats what an aliensrock fan is called)
thats crazy that Tyler just comes up with Mini Motorways with :)
I dont hate tbh good sponser, "Hate" the game thought cuz i have a heart rate of a bagillion everytime lol
Waiting for mini-multimodal-transport system for the true optimization
Great to see it again!
Broo this is crazy
I looked up the best scores and if those guys made the roads there whouldnt be traffic in this world
You'd be surprised how good city transport would already be, just with infinite budget and perfect henchman.
I assure you that whatever gets built is never the vision of the transport planner.
So when do we get to see Tyler leave his house to go clear a pin?

Vancouver eh? Where's the snow storms? Ahaha🇨🇦🇨🇦
I was going fucking CRAZY because he don’t connect the yellow houses above the gray ones.
Alienrocks, one year better
Great game
helll yeah
why not put a light on the entrance to the yellow business in the middle? and maybe somewhere else in that route to reduce congestion
Missed this
You still had traffic lights to spare for the t-shaped chokepoint near the big business. That seemed like the bottleneck that killed throughput to yellows both ways.
I think it might have helped, but I'm not sure if it would have saved the yellow business that ended the game.
Hecc yeah
15:47 I dont get why you didnt just connect the really close grey houses to the grey building, and then motorway the further away houses to the grey building across the harbour. This wouldve saved you a bridge and a lot of travel distance for the grey cars, plus it would've piped a lot more grey houses to the skysraper where the regular building would've had less, as opposed to the other way around.
Maybe you just missed it, which is fine, but it looked like an intentional decision and I would think it would be obvious to connect the houses that are right next to the building to that building, and I'm wondering if it was intentional what the thought process was.
Tyler not connecting every house to a road is very unsatisfying 😅
Have you tried Mini Metro? More puzzle like than Motorways imo.
It's so good this game (_;
he sponsord
Nice
Shows 3 comments and yet there's none so here I am, got here in under 40 seconds. Over all id like to thank my lack of a life for this great achievement
trains???? thats for mini metro!
WERE SO BACK
i got 2626 and he only got 2607
You not pausing stresses me out so much
Yippi
I've never been a fan of this game for the bullcrap spawns of things... really don't know why they made it so things could spawn on the opposite side of the map from each other NotLikeThis
prime Aliens rock would have deleted everything and rearrenged evrything to try and save the situation
Yeoooooo
