RV Door Latch Broke (Thor Hurrican 34J)

The door latch on my 2016 Thor Hurricane 34J broke and locked me out, while my family was actually locked inside. They couldn't open the door up either but at least they were able to open one of the front windows for me so I could crawl in and take the door lock mechanism apart from the inside so I could get the door open.
If this would have happened with nobody inside, I would have either had to break a window to get in or just about destroy my door to get it open. I got it done but like I said I think I was one of the lucky ones.
I'm going to show you exactly what happened and how I fixed it. I hope this helps someone out there.

Same thing just happened to my 2017 Thor Axis. I was trapped inside and had to climb out the window! I have no idea how an older person could manage.

You ain't kidding. Thank God my wife was inside so she could open the window for me.
