This video provided some tips I've never heard before in shoe selection. I know you haven't been active on TH-cam recently, but I still wanted to say thank you. Have a beautiful day :-)

So helpful, thank you. Nobody says this online when I googled type of shoes to buy. Have wasted so much money buying shoes that ended up not working. Thankfully after injections, using the inserts the dr made and stretching my calves daily my pf has gone away. However, for extended walks I still need comfort. All the sneakers today are so poorly made, just foam. A firm heel helps and your video confirms this. Good luck everyone.

Hi lena, I read somewehere the ice bottle is just a thing to ease the pain right there and then and not for a while after. Did you find this to be true? Thanks@@lenaamartin36

I’m literally crying on what to do when it comes to making a decision whether or not to purchase shoe insoles or orthopedic shoes!! I’ve been suffering with feet pain but ever since I started working in the pharmacy my foot/heel pain has become severely debilitating. My feet are wide no arch support in one and barely in the other as you can imagine I destroy shoes so fast and dr scholls feel like nothing to me… I’m tired of my feet having to support my body everyday 😥 I just want to sit

Super feet or Power-step insoles are good and you can get them for under $60.00. A bit more pricey, but better quality. Dicks sporting goods has Super-feet and Rogan’s shoes has Powerstep. Amazon most likely has both brands. These two brands can be trimmed to fit your specific shoes (you would use the insert that came with your shoes, the insert should be able to be easily removed) as a template. Memory foam is too cushiony, so you want something that has a cushion but not too much, supporting your arches and your heel cup is most important.

Use wide or extra wide toe box shoes with perfect arch support.. insoles must be cushioned..or maybe buy arch support insoles..arch support allows healing by reducing stress on the heel.. don't walk barefoot until proper recovery.
Wide toe box shoe is essential to restore blood to the inflamed or injured tissue.
Wearing foot wear with wide toe box and arch support at all times is the key.
Exercises like foot rolling or ball exercise or stretching are not required.
Warm water foot soak for 10-15 minutes with epsom salt(lowers inflammation) can help for blood circulation.
Take Magnesium 500 (lowers inflammation)and Vitamin D supplements for at least 3 months.
      Rest Rest Rest..and have patience.
      You will recover.
This is just my opinion..God bless.

What about heel to toe height? Do you have recommendations on that? Like I saw one brand give options of either 4 or 5 or 6 mm heel to toe height. Thank you Doctor

If you haven't done physical therapy with licensed professional, I highly recommend that. I find ultrasound, electrical stimulation, massage, stretching, night splint use and patient education on proper shoe wear/arch support and activity modification to be very helpful.... best of luck on your recovery
