Boy, you guys really did the whole Yosemite thing, hitting so many great spots! I grew up car camping in Yosemite and as an adult I never get tired of it. Can't wait to see if you snag a Half Dome permit!
Just to be able to see this country again from your videos means the world! Thank you so much.
Following since day 54. Love the consistency of videos, don't know how you do it! Keep it up! Beautiful walk!
a side trip worth taking!!! Love Yosemite!!! Love your videos as well-thank you for taking us along for the journey!
It's always good to take a vacation in the middle of your "working vacation".
what an incredible day. thanks for sharing.
what a sweet visit to the super packed valley. i like to dwell on the outskirts…but you braved the hoards and brought us fantastic scenery. with gratitude…😊
Love your videos! So glad you’re taking the time to really enjoy this epic adventure.
That red thing..."much bigger..." is called a Snowplant. Unique in that it has zero chlorophyll, but rather gets it's nutrients from mycorrhizal fungus that grows in conjunction with tree roots. Thanks for the mini tour of Yosemite. Hoping you snag a Halfdome permit. I think my best ever dayhike, 2x's. Looks like you guys are having a great time and thanks for some cold plunges!
Get this, I did that hike from Olmstead Point to the valley roughly 49 years ago. 😂. I remember those switchbacks! Used to camp every year at Tenaya Lake until they closed the campground. ☹️. Awesome side trip for you!
I am enjoying your videos so much. I love it. Thanks for sharing your adventure. You guys are too cute.
Epic side trip! And glad y'all found a few havens to soak up Yosemite Valley despite the crowds.
That was a beautiful day! I hope tomorrow is as well.
WOW. The entire time I was out there I was on the other side of Half Dome and never saw the side and waterfalls yall saw!!! HOW BEAUTIFUL DUDE OMG
Thanks for sharing your Yosemite trip. A name many are familiar with here in the UK but your video and enthusiasm really made it come alive for me .
Clouds Rest has imo view of the valley and half dome! Epic I hope you get to see it. Thanks for the great video. ☮️
That is the most beautiful picture of the five of you. I mean just stunning, stunning, STUNNING!!!!!
Great day @ river beach! Even w/ the crowds, I enjoy a few hours in the valley floor.
2016: my PCT side trip: Tuolumne Meadows >Clouds Rest> overnight > up/dn Half Dome > valley > bus back up to PCT 👏👍
Glad you made it to Yosemite Valley! FYI at 5:51 that's Illilouette Falls. Nevada Fall is not visible from Tenaya Canyon (it's behind Half Dome).
Been following your PCT hike. Nice to see Yosemite valley. In fact I am one of those that have climbed El. Capital. I last climbed it in 1982.
*"In fact I am one of those that have climbed El. Capital"*
I hope that was a typo...
@@gregall2178 yes it was, auto spell check I guess.
Too much fun. Enjoy the rest of your zero in Yosemite.
Thanks for taking us to Yosemite! I’ve been all over the west but not Yosemite. Glorious!
“This waterfall” == Yosemite Falls
@ 4:43 I believe that's lichen, rather than moss 🙂
Missed you at blue lake rd but your mileage is why we pick that spot so 55 plushikers received trail magic their so when you catch up to them tell them they owe you the Hoovers
We missed you guys by 2 hours!! We showed up at 5 and I think you guys left around 3:30ish 😭
Thank you for doing trail magic for all of our friends 🫶🏼♥️
I don't get how PCTers can motivate past Tahoe. Don't you want to just say screw this, and return to stay local between Sonora and Cottonwood?
Maybe it's growing up in Calif, developing a career here, and being able to drive 4-6 hrs on a whim to experience this type of day literally whenever you want that creates this POV.
Dan, check out the Steve Beck book on fishing Yosemite/E Sierra. He's says to the effect you could spend your entire life exploring the range and still not get to every lake.
We're going to Mammoth in just a few weeks. Can't wait - this vid really brings it home.
Watching your vid, I was thinking "hike the Merced trail, get on the SHR, get back to Tully, revisit Virgina/Purple, exit Duck."
Cruise into Mammoth, get a seasonal job/place to stay, and spend the summer doing a deep dive.
