Namgay Zam on telling the stories of the Bhutanese LGBT T community

Namgay Zam, campaign journalist and LGBT advocate, discusses the importance of documenting the lived experiences of Bhutan’s LGBT community; a topic that went largely undiscussed until she became the first public broadcaster to report on the country’s criminalization of homosexuality.
Namgay Zam was a participant at the 2019 program of the Salzburg Global LGBT Forum - Advancing Legal and Social Equality in South Asia, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, February 24 to March 1, 2019.
