Bro I remember when I was in second grade, one of my brothers friends shoved his tablet into my face right before the withered bonnie jumpscare. I will never forget that.
For me, Withered Chica and some of the other withered animatronic have become scary on a whole new level after watching the Squimpus VHS animations, if you haven't seen them, I highly recommend them as they are 10x scarier than the FNAF games nowadays
To me Withered Chica will always be the scariest. She just manages to capture the "abandoned children's entertainer" the best. She looks like some animatronic you'd find abandoned in real life, especially with the added realism of her joints locking up. She hits that uncanny feeling right on the nose. Unlike the other Withered characters, and most other characters in the franchise, who have eyebrows, eyelids and mouths to show expression, Withered Chica's sunken eyes have no eyebrows or eyelids, instead just having bloodshot pinprick pupils that constantly stare into your soul. Her mouth is stretched so wide that she doesn't show any expression other than a scream. You can't see what her intentions are by looking at her, and the wires in her mouth look like exposed tendons. The camera screens where she stares into the camera, especially in the vent give me shivers everytime I see them. And her booming voice gives me chills.
I personally found Springtrap's original jumpscare in fnaf 3 to be scary. I think it's the slow and creeping pace that creeps me out. I've personally found most of the jumpscares silly and over the top (including springtraps newer jumpscares). But that's just my opinion, I know a lot of people don't like that jumpscare.
Very good points. My opinions on Springtrap’s jumpscares have changed drastically since this video and, if I were to redo this video, then I would swap around Springtrap’s Five Nights 3 and UCN jumpscares.
@@charliedixon4465 I feel like his jumpscare could have moved a bit faster (and I also don’t think his jumpscare sound is scary) but his jumpscare is not bad. And I think the reason the UCN jumpscares are so fast passed is because the quality had to be lowered on them, so I can see why he changed it for UCN.
I just think a lot of times in fnaf 3 u expect the jump scare after seeing him in the hall or doorway so that mixed with the slower creep up of the jumps are animation makes it weaker in my opinion

Note: This list was focusing only on animatronics from the games. If I had included animatronics from the books, then number one would have easily been Funtime Freddy from Fazbear Frights. I think that ‘Count the Ways’ may be the scariest story in the series so far.
in my opinion, i see nightmarionne as more cartoony (because of his face, but his body is creeppyyy) than nightmare fredbear and even marionette from fnaf 2. marionette has an unlively look that could give anyone the creeps. 😊 the #1 scariest animatronics for me are the funtimes, withereds, and nightmares. (⊙_⊙;)
Some of the Marionette's voice clips are frightening to me.. but the witty jokes the robots make aren't particularly on theme, i think that's the issue

Withered Chica is one of the most scariest animatronics in fnaf in my option. She looks like one of the most lifeless animatronics in the series, and that’s saying something since you could say a lot of them look like that. Maybe it’s because of her broken beak that can not show any sort of movement because of how broken it is. Her eyes feel like they are just lifelines too compared to everyone else that has eyes. And then every version of puppet is scary to me.
The Withered animatronics (particularly Bonnie) are by far the worst to me - those are way too possible in reality, and certainly don't smell like lavender or roses. Happy to see them get a nod here!
I love withered bonnie, probably because I loved original Bonnie and felt bad that he had his face ripped off. (Yes, I know it’s a prequel, but he still was A bonnie.)
The only animatronics that are scary to me are the ones from the first game and a couple from fnaf 2. The later titles focused on specifically giving the animatronics a more “scarier” appearance; however, i feel that they are all trying too hard to be scary. The larger-than human-body heights of the animatronics, and the sunken-in wide eyes on the animatronics of the first and second game is what mainly made the original animatronics all scary. And the sound design for the first game are a lot scarier in comparison to any of the other games. There is no human contact other than the phone guy for the first game. The fact that the only comforting voice gets taken away from you on the 4th night makes you truly feel alone and helpless with ungoverned killer animatronics moving about the building as you sit helpless. The other games don’t capture this feeling as well.
Scariest FNaF animatronic huh? Easily Ballora. Hell, she was horrifying since her very first appearance in the Sister Location trailer. And what now? They gave her a spider crawling animation in SD. Seriously, imagine being chased by that thing in a dark corridor.
10/10 video, the #1 spot transition scared me (that picture is one of the scariest for me tbh) so bad I had to turn on my lamp while staring down the screen to make sure it didn't switch to another one lol
ngl springtrap is my favorite animatronic, even though I haven't played any fnaf games, ( except a bit of ultimate), I really like the lore between the afton family because it's really dark and cool.
10-Toy Chica- The eerie appearance is pretty menacing, considering the fact she looks almost humanoid, but is just far enough removed to be not humanoid. Unfortunately she’s also borderline cutesy in appearance, but it’s mostly that eerie face, so bottom of list. 9- Minireenas (Room for one More) just a very creepy concept, crawling into someone’s body and controlling them from inside. Humanoid too, but way more creepy because it’s closer than Toy Chica’s. But the weirdly childish voice and cutesy giggles..arguably more creepy but in my opinion it’s more cute if anything. 8- Puppet/Phantom Puppet/Nightmarrione- Just...really uncomfortable to look at. Fear of dolls plus the uncomfortably tall demeanor. I’d argue that while Help Wanted made The Puppet creepier, by how she stalks toward you, it made Nightmarrione less creepy, the tendrils aren’t all that menacing. 7- Chica (FNAF 1)- I honestly can’t tell you what makes Chica creepy. She’s just sorta...eerie. I think it’s the thousand yard stare she gives you, and the fact she never seems to look at you, but look through you. Just very eerie 6- Shadow Freddy and RXQ- Creepy for the sole reason that we really don’t know much what happened to create these two. While theories can be made, nothing definite can be made, as they’re so enigmatic. Also their very ambiguous and out of place in game, sticking out, but still there 5- Plushtrap- Dolls man. Freaking dolls. This small terror is just so uncomfortable to look at. His tendency to just leap back into place is also so creepy. Extra points to Out of Stock for making an even creepier. 4- Withered Foxy- The most imposing one of the Withereds. While yes, he keeps his distance, he is still incredibly menacing. His eyes glowing, hook raised, ready to lunge at you from so far away. It’s honestly really good. 3- Funtime Freddy (Count the Ways)- Take Funtime Freddy’s personality, and remove the humorous nature. What do you have? A psychotic robot, who only wants to kill you. Also his sheer size and clear bloodlust is something that makes you stay away from him. 2- Golden Freddy (FNAF 1)- The only real time Golden Freddy was scary. Mysterious, enigmatic, and somehow tied to the deeper story. Later appearances, while not bad, weren’t as eerie or mysterious. 1- William Afton (All appearances, includes Glitchtrap and ITP Springbonnie)-...literally a child serial killer. I uh, don’t need to explain much.
Honestly jumpscares just don't get me, it's the moments leading up to the jumpscare that get me. My most common reactions to jumpscares are either (blank) or fuck you
BALLORA. I hate how she crawls around like a spider. Sneaking around her in Sister Location was easy enough but her design is one of the creepiest in my opinion. Knowing that something is blind but can kill you nonetheless is quite scary when you think about it
A lot of people find Nightmare's/Nightmarionne's jumpscare noise underwhelming but it honestly freaks me out the most. It's not the noise itself but knowing what it is. The noise is a distorted ambulance siren and with the context of the Bite of '83 and Nightmare showing up at the end of the game, to me it's like the crying child is hearing the ambulance on its way to try and save him after the bite while he's quickly dying and what he's hearing get distorted.
I personally think that golden Freddy s jumps are from fnaf 1 is very scary because it uses the laugh of a little girl and his role in ucn I also kinds think that the phantom puppet should be on this list cuz he's kinda underrated and I think he's pretty scary But I think nightmare puppet is one step above these heres some others I think should be on the list 1 Freddy Farber 2 molten Freddy 3 lefty 4 shadow Freddy and shadow Bonnie 5 decided to add this one but it's from the books Twisted wolf

Imo, most of the animatronics on your list are trying TOO hard to be scary. None of the nightmares don't scare me (except maybe N. BB and Nightmarionne, but animatronics like Withered Chica make me so fucking uncomfy and scared, it's just the uncannyness(?), these animatronics once tried to be appealing to children but their rotting state made them terrifying, it's these kinds of designs that scare the shit outta me.

To me, the Nightmares are the least scary animatronics! They got literally everything to make them scary, wich seems so forced that it removes their scare completely. Also, exept Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear, when talking about withering and behaviour, they really have about nothing making them different from each other. The Withereds are so much better, because they have things differenting them (Bonnie has no face, Chica no Hands,…), and their withering doesn't seem as forced as the nightmares. To me, the scariest withered animatronic is Withered Bonnie, and, to me, he is superior to all the Nightmares

I didn't play most terror games, but to me the scariest of them all is outlast unbeated. Among Fnaf's games the only three which give honest goosebumps are fnaf 4, sister location and help wanted. The others games you get used to the animatronics and the jumpscares through the nights. Considering a first run of course.
weirdly bonnie and the puppet were the least scary to me i think the scariest might've been nightmare foxy and/or nightmare foxy's tongue thingy and just nightmare itself were pretty scary but nightmares jumpscare is terrible
For me springtrap is the scariest but not because of his design or his jumpscares. Its because of the way Afton died in that old springbonnie suit and the presence of the killer himself near you. The first phase of the springlock suit failure was mainly the springlocks opening to let the endoskeleton get back to its place. When the springlocks are moving they are making hundreds if not thousands of small, deep cuts in the victims body. A lot of the muscles and veins are pretty much torn apart after all the springlocks let loose of the endo-skeleton. This phase is extremely painful but its nothing compared to the second phase. The second phase (the worst in my opinion) is the part where the endo-skeleton returns to its place (worth mentioning that the springlock suits are animatronics and suits for humans to wear at the same time that means the endoskeleton is pulled by the springlocks away from the human to get into the suit) when that happens the bones are getting CRUSHED. The organs get impaled by the endo-skeleton and ripped out from your body. the endoskeletons spine REPLACES your own. Your ribs are piercing trough your lungs which are getting crushed by the endoskeletons ribs. At the same time your neck is being torn apart into 6 parts (thats how many parts of springtraps neck i managed to count okay?) and the endo-skeletons head is breaking your skull, the ears are piering trough your brain to connect with the endoskeleton and your eyes are getting replaced by the robots eyes. if you manage to not bleed out after the first phase of a spring lock failure the damage the second phase does is enough to kill anyone in the suit, William was really unlucky because he witnessed both the phases... Typing all that was really long and if i made any grammar mistakes please correct me. When im talking about a springlock failure i feel weak ngl and thinking about the pain William may have gotten trough makes me almost wanna throw up ngl.
I think the one I’m scared the most is spring trap. His design. And his voice. I like the British accent but I love David near voice and when we hear plushtrap voice it show so much fear.

2- Golden Freddy (FNAF 1)- The only real time Golden Freddy was scary. Mysterious, enigmatic, and somehow tied to the deeper story. Later appearances, while not bad, weren’t as eerie or mysterious.

Honestly jumpscares just don't get me, it's the moments leading up to the jumpscare that get me.
My most common reactions to jumpscares are either (blank) or fuck you
BALLORA. I hate how she crawls around like a spider. Sneaking around her in Sister Location was easy enough but her design is one of the creepiest in my opinion. Knowing that something is blind but can kill you nonetheless is quite scary when you think about it

To me, I surprisingly find the Withered Foxy from the Foxy.exe game from FNaF World the scariest, his voice, and his screech is honestly terrifying.
A lot of people find Nightmare's/Nightmarionne's jumpscare noise underwhelming but it honestly freaks me out the most. It's not the noise itself but knowing what it is. The noise is a distorted ambulance siren and with the context of the Bite of '83 and Nightmare showing up at the end of the game, to me it's like the crying child is hearing the ambulance on its way to try and save him after the bite while he's quickly dying and what he's hearing get distorted.

I personally think that golden Freddy s jumps are from fnaf 1 is very scary because it uses the laugh of a little girl and his role in ucn I also kinds think that the phantom puppet should be on this list cuz he's kinda underrated and I think he's pretty scary

Imo, most of the animatronics on your list are trying TOO hard to be scary. None of the nightmares don't scare me (except maybe N. BB and Nightmarionne, but animatronics like Withered Chica make me so fucking uncomfy and scared, it's just the uncannyness(?), these animatronics once tried to be appealing to children but their rotting state made them terrifying, it's these kinds of designs that scare the shit outta me.

There are references to actual horror movies (dreadbear = frankinstin plushbabys = Chucky and Annabelle clowntrap = Pennywise)
To me, the Nightmares are the least scary animatronics! They got literally everything to make them scary, wich seems so forced that it removes their scare completely. Also, exept Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear, when talking about withering and behaviour, they really have about nothing making them different from each other. The Withereds are so much better, because they have things differenting them (Bonnie has no face, Chica no Hands,…), and their withering doesn't seem as forced as the nightmares. To me, the scariest withered animatronic is Withered Bonnie, and, to me, he is superior to all the Nightmares

I didn't play most terror games, but to me the scariest of them all is outlast unbeated. Among Fnaf's games the only three which give honest goosebumps are fnaf 4, sister location and help wanted. The others games you get used to the animatronics and the jumpscares through the nights. Considering a first run of course.
The only animatronics that scared the living out of me are Springtrap, Golden Freddy, Nightmare and the withered animatronics

For me springtrap is the scariest but not because of his design or his jumpscares. Its because of the way Afton died in that old springbonnie suit and the presence of the killer himself near you.
The first phase of the springlock suit failure was mainly the springlocks opening to let the endoskeleton get back to its place. When the springlocks are moving they are making hundreds if not thousands of small, deep cuts in the victims body. A lot of the muscles and veins are pretty much torn apart after all the springlocks let loose of the endo-skeleton. This phase is extremely painful but
its nothing compared to the second phase.
The second phase (the worst in my opinion) is the part where the endo-skeleton returns to its place (worth mentioning that the springlock suits are animatronics and suits for humans to wear at the same time that means the endoskeleton is pulled by the springlocks away from the human to get into the suit) when that happens the bones are getting CRUSHED. The organs get impaled by the endo-skeleton and ripped out from your body. the endoskeletons spine REPLACES your own. Your ribs are piercing trough your lungs which are getting crushed by the endoskeletons ribs. At the same time your neck is being torn apart into 6 parts (thats how many parts of springtraps neck i managed to count okay?) and the endo-skeletons head is breaking your skull, the ears are piering trough your brain to connect with the endoskeleton and your eyes are getting replaced by the robots eyes.
if you manage to not bleed out after the first phase of a spring lock failure the damage the second phase does is enough to kill anyone in the suit, William was really unlucky because he witnessed both the phases...
Typing all that was really long and if i made any grammar mistakes please correct me. When im talking about a springlock failure i feel weak ngl and thinking about the pain William may have gotten trough makes me almost wanna throw up ngl.
