    Did my first track day last weekend with a 8 hour lesson (combination of riding and theory) and it was the best experience on 2 wheels of my life. First time truly pushing my limits and it felt incredibly addicting.

    Hi Yammie I know you'll laugh but I own a 1957 Ducati 125cc Marianna - I say this because it's a SINGLE CYLINDER 125cc Bevel Driven engine. So the Mono isn't the ONLY single cylinder from Ducati! LOVE your Channel! Thanks friend come up for a visit anytime.

    You nailed it for who it’s for. I live close to the Dolomites and ride there a lot, also lots of other mountain passes in Austria and Italy. This bike is made for exactly that. If you ever ride our part of the world you will see endless KTM’s and Husqvarna’s tearing it up on the steep twisties. These bikes are everywhere whereas the older generation are riding GS’s and other adventure bikes. Ducati know their market here and where this bike is gonna excel. Fast, nimble, lightweight machines rule the alpine twisties!

    something to note, this bike NEEDS the exhaust. stock it basically has no low end and struggles in the low rpms, with the exhaust it opens up the low end a ton and makes the bike 10x better

      actually.. it's not the exhaust that does that
      open up the air box cover and put a free flowing filter and it's actually dynoing MORE with the standard exhaust than with aftermarket ones

    One of my favorites. The Termignoni really wakes it up and also adds "wheelie assist". So fun and so easy to ride. Its what I take for short trips over my Streetfighter V4.

  • @phresco732
    @phresco732 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Got this as my 2nd bike because I wanted something that at more upright as opposed to my r6. I absolutely LOVE it, he’s not kidding when he says it’s a riot. Not a highway bike even though it can be done but you have to sit super far forward especially at 80+ to combat that floaty front tire feel. But again the fun this bike brings is unreal. I still love my r6 as it was my first bike and wouldn’t say I have a favorite between the two. They both are great at different things and to me make the perfect stable. If you have the money go get one of these!!
    Also if you buy the termignoni race exhaust from Ducati they unlock an additional wheelie assist feature that actually does hold you in wheelies.

    I ride this bike so hard in LA california. I even do all the food delivery gigs on it with an OGIO tailbag. I've owned 7 motorcycles with over 50k miles each and also have a race fuel tuned R1M. I tell you this bike is a street slayer and perfect for people that still like to go fast. Perfect for daily. such a hooligan bike. I don't even notice the vibrations on it anymore. I can easily hit 100+mph and cruise on these bumpy hwys. I top out at 127mph for my weight at 155. Austin racing exhaust is the way to go on this bike. Make sure you get the race version with optional silencers as it will set off alarms more than a harley due to its low throaty beautiful tone. The 698 wants you to absolutely rev the hell out of it. Do recommend.

  • @mikes.8305

    As an owner of this bike I don’t understand why Ducati marketed this bike the way they did. It’s either for someone who wants a supermoto, but doesn’t want to be limited by it being a supermoto. Tall gears, seemingly reliable, all safety features can be turned off, low maintenance intervals. I think of it more for people like me who have other Ducati’s, but want a little fun one also.
    I live near mountain roads where they are tighter and bumpy AF. This bike is king!

    for city obviously , how your” it have no lowend cos very short stroke vs holly crap its torquy „ have to each other? ☕️😉 rode dt 125 and xt 660 sm ,dt dont like to much xt love from 1 ride 😉👌🏻☕️ps this bike stock arent have verybstrong lowend feg at 5000 rpm 35 hp crsnk vs feg sv 650 at 5000 rpm have 40 hp +/- but what help this duc is lower weight in results it isint less dynamique at low revs than sv 650 in me egzample but also whats important stroke reslly dosent make stronger lowend thats myth cos steoke is fullly compensate be bore welll maybe not only bore but also be dispalcement feg we are at 4000 rpm one stroke 100 mm other 50 mm both 1 litres dispalcement what be limits of torq for both when engineer go on limits with everyhing so valvetrain timing of combustion intake exhaust geometry internal losess and all other 💩? both will clock max 120-125 nm and wall but 50 mmsteoke not less cos avg torq when work happen is generated from biger stroke from better leverage = longer crank offset but 50 mm stroke fullly compensate it be exerts much/adequate biger force work on piston „ roof „ cos surface area of piston be much biger on which head flame of combsution explosion in cylinder works so why in this duc not all torq is available at this low rpm ? cos they setup all stuff like timing exhaust intake valvetrain asf for transfer max torq to higher roms from which is genersted higher power thats why if they want they would setup max torq at much lower rpm and if they want with egzacly the same small stroke adps it have mch biger this peak torq at low rpm 👌🏻 good egzample can be zx12 r check stroke and check dyno stock vs h-d sportster 1200 check stroke and torq at the same low rom where h-d sportster have way biger stroke ☕️ long story short zx12 r is much stronger at low rpms than sportster 1200 despite haveing much shorter stroke 55,4 vs 96 mm peak for zx12 r is 137 nmvs sportster 1200 98 nm and at low rpm like 3000 rpm feg sportster isint stronger than zx12 r in me egzample …..👌🏻☕️ btw what time you setup on track ? it should be better than zx4 rr cos it have so much more twke off corner torq + there is alot uphill so asweel huge torq advanatage shpuld make it faster right ? 🤐i quees this duc dont go under 2:15 👌🏻 vs zx4 rr full power 2:10 at the same tire 👌🏻 🤭obviously huge disadvantage for fast track like on which you ride is much biger drag in supermoto which make it slow at longer straights 👌🏻🪠☕️btw you know why it have so as you call amazing breaking system 😂 opthe same readon why its slow at long straight ps = 💩 aerodynamic whelll in regard to breaking amamzing aerodynamic actuallly 🤭👌🏻🪠 this higher drag add to breaking decelerstion in comapre to supersport probablymlike 0,2 G os 😎👌🏻☕️

    You talk in contradictory circles and its hard to understand ANY of your "Review." For example you go "I'm learning to wheelie still." Then you go "This thing wont allow you to do 12 o'clock nooners." You don't know how to wheelie but you give blanket statements and then mention turning off "DWC"??? You make 0 sense bro......

      The problem is you. He didn’t say you couldn’t do nooners. He said you couldn’t do nooners “and the computer just does everything for you.” In other words, the wheelie assist makes modest wheelies easier but you still need some skill to really do it well.
