Secret to Mounting a Tall Motorcycle

Tall adventure motorcycles are a lot of fun both on and off road. But, they're a lot less fun if you're short and have trouble mounting the bike.
Here are a few ways to mount a tall motorcycle. The first way is your standard way and works great if you are tall enough to flat foot the bike.
The second way is the "cowboy mount" and is very convenient on flat surfaces and pavement. Great for shorter riders. This technique is a lot tougher on grass and hills where your kickstand may be unstable.
The final way is great for off road riding and is useful for riders of all heights. You stand the bike up, lift the kickstand, and open up your handlebars to give you more room. Then you just swing your leg over and use your other leg as your kickstand. This method is also great for fast ride-outs since you can start the bike and put it in gear while you are straightening it out.

Left foot on left peg, let the clutch out, mount rolling. Works well on any surface, with any size load provided you’ve got 10ft or so to roll, and doesn’t look clumsy.
