Congrats on your 100th episode. You keep us northerners going when the temps are below freezing and the snow is on the ground. We can live vicariously through you.
Thanks mate. I remember (maybe not so fondly) sailing with my dad on our dinghy in winter in the U.K. without a wet suit. Capsizing was a character building experience, cheers Paul
Congratulations, Paul, on 100 videos as well as 100 plus variations on pasta meals. Love how you place such importance on your as well as your fellow sailor's dietary needs. Thank you for all the efforts you put into making these videos. They are much appreciated. Sarah from Tasmania.
Hi Sarah I wish I was coming down to Hobart for the festival this year. The atmosphere and the shanty singing is fantastic. The sailing meals aren't really very healthy, but they are practical... when you don't have a fridge. But that's about to change as I've bought a 12v 15 L fridge and a solar panel. I just have to install it. Have a great time at the festival, cheers Paul
My pleasure. Vermont is a beautiful part of the states. I've never been there but I remember the movie White Christmas with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. They always showed it at Christmas in the U.K. when I was a kid. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Congratulations Paul on your 100th video looking forward to seeing more, you and your friends are all a very down ( no pun intended )to earth group of people which makes your videos the most enjoyable on TH-cam.
Thanks Roland. I find some sailing clubs think they are a bit special. That's why as a group, with no club association , we can just get together when we like and not have to race and spend the money that goes with being competitive. Thanks again for watching. I wonder where the next 100 videos will take us, cheers Paul
Congrats on 100!! Woo hoo!! I liked your assessment of conditions and siding with caution. Bad outcomes cut into cocktails and a good evening meal!! Cheers!!
Your videos are the go-to mental respite I need from the current political madness here in the States. Thanks Paul for sharing your adventures among some great fellow sailors. Congratulations on the 100th video!
Thanks Mate. We are also following the impending doom in the states....good luck our thoughts are with you. More importantly, thank you so much for watching my videos...we have a lot of fun, cheers Paul
Good to see you, Paul. Nice to see you on the water. We are having a warm winter, but very minimal breezes. I have pulled my boat out of storage and beginning the process of cleaning and waxing.
It is truly written that discretion i the better part of valour, wise to not go where you don't feel confident. I'm getting closer to joining you out there!
Congratulations Paul on your 100th video I have enjoyed them all. They are a credit to you great narrative and photography. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers Steve
You inspired me to buy a wooden dinghy (Scruffie 16) and get back into sailing again after 20 years. Thanks for all of your work making these videos. They are appreciated.
Congratulations on the 100 and I have enjoyed them all. It is wonderful to enjoy your summer when it is winter here in Sweden. Three more months and we can launch again 🇸🇪😄😀💕
@SailingKateLouise Of course it is, I have lifted out the inboard engine and am renovating it in the garage. But down by the boat it is still too cold. Fair winds! 🇸🇪😄😀💕
Gee - 100 videos. And I have enjoyed every one of them. Looking forward to hopefully many more. I envy your sailing comunity - as we don't have in my neigborhood - and i find joy in seeing your videos from all of your gatherings and enjoy looking at a bunch of guys and girls sailing for just the fun of it. That's what sailing should be all about. And then it gives med some extra joy when I venture out on the local fiord in my own 20 ft boat remembering that sailing is a lesure for your soul and well being 🙂
Absolutely Bent, life is too short , we don't need to race through it...enjoy nature at a slower pace. Thanks for being a loyal supporter, cheers Paulk
Thank you Paul and Congratulations on reaching 100. Well Done, always professional and a pleasure to watch. I feel I have sailed many kilometres with you and look forward to actually joining you on a RAID sometime in the future.
Thank you! I as so frustrated trying to learn. Put the boat up for sail. Watched your relaxing videos and it kept the dream alive. I finally figured it out enough to really enjoy it. Well below freezing now in the wonderful Garden State of NJ. So enjoying your videos while I stay inside and warm.
Thanks mate. Never give up, just take it slowly pick the right weather and don't rush. Confidence will build and your small boat will take you places large ones can't go. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul.....stay warm!
Congrats on your 100th. Enjoy them! Nice to see some sunny “swell” sailing while I sit here in Michigan USA watching snow swirling around outside ❄️❄️❄️. My boats are tucked in and covered for the winter.
Well we 've had a few hot days here recently and now it's summer storms for a while. Snow is cool (excuse the pun), we don't get a lot here. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Your videos are fantastic! I get super excited when ever they’re posted. I have an ODay Daysailer in Missouri USA and I’m getting a small dinghy group together for sailing. And yes that means you’re an inspiration to us all! Congratulations on 100 and well done.
Thanks Stephan...Bruce's O'day Daysailer is very fast and lots of room for sleeping aboard. Make sure you post some videos , we'd love to see what you get up to in the states. ( I use Da Vinci Resolve 19 to edit ...free and lots of YT videos on how to edit), cheers Paul
We just love your video’s Paul. (w even watch them a few times). Great presentation and watching KateLouise (beautiful boat by the way) sailing as well as the other raiders boats is so relaxing. Congratulations on your 100th! Looking forward to many more. Fair winds.

Had to pause the video - thank you for your love of "doing it!" You have blessed my winters for years and in this weird youtube way, I love knowing you and all your sailing buddies through your videos. From the USA another hearty thank you (and Congrats!) Paul, et al !
Thank you, Paul, for all the videos you've done... and the next you will do.🙂 You said it was a hot day. Here, an "the other side of the ball", we had -2 degrees yesterday...🙂
Thanks mate, 2 degrees now that's cold ! luckily it never gets that low Sydney. But today it's pouring with rain again. Thanks for watching my videos, cheers Paul
Congratulation on your hundredth video Paul, I always enjoy watching what you guys get up to. Happy New Year to you and keep them coming,Bless you mate.
Lovely to have my breakfast in France enjoying the sailing in the sun. It is minus 2 this morning . Today I will be making some brackets for my boat and dreaming of sailing and sunny weather. My sailing club in La Rochelle is having a meet up on Saturday for a glass of wine and a music day can't wait. Congratulations on the 100th video Paul it was great.
Congrats on 100 videos, found your channel a few months ago and i think ive watched every one. Youve convinced me to give sailing a go and I'm about to embark on an oz goose buid. Thank you for everything you bring to the platform and im looking forward to episode 200 :)
Thanks Mate if you need any info on the Oze Goose build I know someone who has built one. Thanks for watching and hope to see you on the water, cheers Paul
Congratulations on your 100th video Paul . I watch you all the time . I have never left a comment before. I live on the Myall lakes . Please let me know when you’re up here next. I would love to catch up for a night or two. I’m a power boat, but I love it . Never really sailed but always had boats . Retired now . Happy and safe boating Graham
Thanks Graham....I'll forgive you for not having any sails!! Checkout 'Raid Sydney sailing rowing and camping in small boats' on Facebook look under the events tab and there you will find the next time we will be at Myall Lakes. Hopefully in the next few weeks, cheers Paul
I enjoy your videos. Keep producing them. I wish you would play your concertina a little more often. Congrats on your century milestone. As previously commented, you keep us northerners going. Here in Maine we won't be boating for another 3 months and it will still be cold.
Hi Ronald, the concertina is going well, but I only really take it when I go by myself....it's not everybody's cup of tea. When I do the next solo trip, I promise. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, cheers Paul
What a treat to wake up to! After the excitement of a fresh sailing video, my second reaction was one of self-chastisement; 100*20-30 minutes is a lot of time on screen! Then I reminded myself that i watch your videos in preference to almost anything on TV. Thanks for the time you spend creating such great videos for us all to enjoy.
Yep it takes a while to make long videos, colour grading audio mixing etc but I enjoy it and the sailing of course, thanks for watching over a long time, cheers Paul
Congrats Paul on your 100 - I’m restoring an 88 year old sailing dinghy in Sydney and taking Feb off to do it - your channel has been a big motivation to get it done - I can’t wait to get out on the water with you all 😀
Thanks mate. Well it has been very hot here but now we are going through a wet patch for the next couple of weeks. My wife likes the cold!!! Thanks again for watching , cheers Paul
Ah Paul it always makes my day when I see you've posted at 82 most of my sailing is being done from my arm chair so seeing your posts adds a refreshing lift , fair winds and following seas my friend cheers from across the big pond
Thanks Dave, I'm glad you enjoy them. I didn't realise until the other day, just how many videos I've made. I hate to think how many hours in front of the computer that's been! But if it gives a bit of enjoyment, then it's all been worthwhile, cheers Paul
Congratulations on a century of videos Paul. Your narrative and the activity surrounding dinghy sailing are very relaxing and enjoyable to follow. All the best to you and your sailing mates, oh, and all the wives/partners of course 😊
Congratulations Paul on 100 fine episodes. I have been watching since I bought my own Stornaway 18 and have enjoyed following your adventures. Looking forward to many more from you and your regular cast.
Well done on 100 Paul. It’s enjoyable to sit back and watch your videos on these wild Sydney nights. Also well done for knowing “when to hold em, knowing when to fold em”.
Congratulations Paul on your 100 th video Although I don’t sail now I still remember the advice I was given at the start of 40 years of sailing “always sail within the capabilities of your boat AND yourself “ Glad you obviously keep to this edict and didn’t attempt Lion Island circumnavigation with a 2 metre swell singlehanded There are sharks out there for heavens sake !!! Colin
Hi Colin, well I could have gone around the island on the next day as it was no longer wind against tide, but enjoyed the ride back instead. As for sharks ...they are everywhere you just don't see them. Thanks again for leaving a comment, cheers Paul
As others have said your videos are always fun to watch and inspiring for small boat cruising. Can’t wait for spring to arrive here in UK. Your chats about different boats are helpful, your recipes are good. Must always do what you’re comfortable with - it’s meant to be fun after all! Always look forward to episodes. Safe sailing….
Thanks Peter, it's comments like that, that keep me going. Though I'm not sure my cooking is that good. Thanks for following my adventures, cheers Paul
Are you doing the Tawe again? I'll be down in Hobart for the next festival in a couple of years and maybe Paynesville next year. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul
@SailingKateLouise hi Paul, yes, there is a nice little fleet of Victorians heading over for this year's TN, 5 boats I know of. I am going to try this year in my SCAMP. We will watch out for your mate Steve. I get a lot of inspiration from your videos, really appreciate the effort and skill it must take to make them. Good call turning back day 1 btw, I reckon I would have taken a rain check bashing into that chop earlier than you did.
Love your work, Paul. I’m up at Port Stephens and have just taken possession of a beautifully built 15ft Whilly Tern, an Iain Oughtred design. I’m looking forward to getting into world of dinghy cruising, maybe we can sail together some day!
Happy New Year Paul. Great to see you and the other sailors out there. Congrats on 100. I still don't understand why your viewer number is still low. Keep at it!! I like the marine telegraph via Josh. Just think what you could do with a thousand boats! gary in japan
Hi Gary thanks. I think the numbers are growing, but 1000 would cause a few logistical nightmares ha ha!. Thanks for watching from the start and always leaving a comment . It keeps me going, when sometimes it's hard, cheers Paul
Great, send me a photo to sailingkatelouise@gmail.com The concertina is going well but I only tend to take it when I'm solo sailing. It's not everybody's cup of tea. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul
Well done Paul! You have inspired a lot of people to get out and go dinghy cruising. Not just here but world wide.
That's very kind of you, cheers Paul

It's mid-January and here in Vermont, USA. Only three more months until we sail. Thanks for being the best channel to get me through the long winter.

Thanks mate, yes I should thank the wives more often, cheers Paul

Congratulations Paul on 100 fine episodes. I have been watching since I bought my own Stornaway 18 and have enjoyed following your adventures. Looking forward to many more from you and your regular cast.
Thanks mate. We've had a lot of fun and they are a great bunch of guys, fair winds, cheers Paul
Well done on 100 Paul. It’s enjoyable to sit back and watch your videos on these wild Sydney nights.
Also well done for knowing “when to hold em, knowing when to fold em”.
Thanks Craig. I love that saying, cheers Paul
Nice one Paul, love all your videos, looking forward to many more. ⛵👍👍👍👍
Thanks mate, I'll try, cheers Paul
Congratulations Paul on your 100 th video
Although I don’t sail now I still remember the advice I was given at the start of 40 years of sailing
“always sail within the capabilities of your boat AND yourself “
Glad you obviously keep to this edict and didn’t attempt Lion Island circumnavigation with a 2 metre swell singlehanded
There are sharks out there for heavens sake !!!
Thank you Paul, your adventures are a delight to watch. Congratulations on 100 videos.
Thanks Rob and see you on the water, cheers Paul
Thanks for all the videos Paul, a lot of editing hours behind those 100! Sorry we won't see you down in Tassie. Next time!
As the 100th Like, i would like to thank you Paul for your great videos promoting dinghy cruising. Keep them coming :)
Thanks Petrea, we will have to see if we can get a bigger group to come north again, cheers Paul
Congrats on 100, Paul. Thanks for sharing your adventures on beautiful waters. Enjoying from the Mid-Atlantic US.
Thanks mate I enjoy sharing our adventures, we have a lot of laughs, which is good for the soul, cheers Paul
Congratulations Paul ! Hope you have hundreds more episodes left in you.
Thanks Phil....that's a lot of editing, cheers Paul
Love your work, Paul. I’m up at Port Stephens and have just taken possession of a beautifully built 15ft Whilly Tern, an Iain Oughtred design. I’m looking forward to getting into world of dinghy cruising, maybe we can sail together some day!
For sure.I hope to get back up to Myall lakes soon , cheers Paul
Happy new year Paul
Hi Christophe, thanks and happy new year to you as well and thanks again for watching, cheers Paul
I love you Paul
Thanks mate, cheers Paul
Great to see a new video. Just finished building a CLC Skerry here in North Carolina. How goes your concertina practice? :-)
Great, send me a photo to sailingkatelouise@gmail.com The concertina is going well but I only tend to take it when I'm solo sailing. It's not everybody's cup of tea. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul
