Thanks for watching and commenting. Actually if you watch the onboard video closely you’ll see the gear door come loose before landing, if I remember correctly it was when I turned from downwind to base. As far as landing on the runway, I prefer the grass for the braking effect. I know this plane has reverse thrust, its just a habit now to land in the grass. Also our runway is 12’ wide, its not always easy to hit it … so I don’t normally bother trying.

@@feelgooddany To be honest, I don't get too obsessed with measurements ... I move it back till it feels good to me. My current battery position (5000mah) is 1 1/4" back from the front of the plywood tray.
@allensrcadventures did my avanti.v2 maiden today and use same lipo smart5000.100c .. have almost same lipo place like you 1 inch after the front wood. I'm become cautious because I crash my fms futura.v3 with to heavy tail .. my own mistake offcourse! So I'm doing a bit of research 😄👍 Thank you .. have fun! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

The avanti will fly 4500 up to 8000 mah. No prob. I run a 9000mah lion 6s2p pack in mine

It's the Tennessee Eagles RC Club in Harriman, TN. Having access to a place like this, a few miles from home, was one of the reasons I moved to TN :)
Was any gyro or stabilizing system used in the Avanti?
I do not remember if I used it or not .. but it has AS3X
May I ask what radio/reciever are you using that gives you an audio of air speed (ground speed ?) ?
I use all Spektrum equipment... they have a GPS module you can add that send telemetry down to the radio.

You fly great but ease into that throttle on take off!
Over hyped but..... it is smooth Flys great no gyro, little more robust nose gear. Only Slightly faster. It is much more efficient. 5mins on 5200mah
