Yes! The other I am going to get is the Free wing Vulcan Pro for $270. It’s a 70mm 6s! Uses the same Lipo as your Avanti. Did I mention it comes with Flaps and Retracts?
I'm a Avanti fan! They are a solid flyer..they just fly great super stable in all kinds of wind. Happy to see the V2, yep its ordered! Review one the horizon..and i don't mean horizon hobby lol
@@SkyRCFanatic My channel isn't really active at all - I have no time for that. But lots of my flights are published on RC Tommy and RC Turbinator channels (www.youtube.com/@RCTommy and www.youtube.com/@rcturbinator7855) My best Avanti demo by far: th-cam.com/video/vQ91LzN7-1s/w-d-xo.html
Sadly it looks like the issue of not being able to move larger battery packs like 8s/18650s LiFePo4 further back for CG balance without having to carve out foam was not addressed. Missed opportunity.
Wesley - great flying as always and this looks like a beast that won't bite. Two quick questions for you. In inverted flight how much upstick are you having to apply. Also has someone put a GPS speed/radar on this thing for max speed. Many thanks for all your help and enthusiasm
Looks sweet! I have several starting with the first that had the small control horns that pulled out and 1 with the wrong glue where the servos fell out. They also should remove the paint before gluing in the servos. Do they thread lock the servo horn screws now? They can fall out. All of mine have wood in the underside spine. Of all the damage that I have done, I have never damaged that. I see they did not add a nose gear strut brace. That is a standard for my "field". Why didn't they correct the boo boo of the left flap servo location? Probably because the wing mold is very expensive. Back to a 12 blade fan which I really like the sound of. I would still tape the hinge lines to keep from ripping. Be SURE to reduce the flap throw from maximum so the servos don't stall. At least they do protect themselves from burning.
I love this version of this beautiful aircraft. I'm looking at this Avanti S V2 with a good Spectrum Rx. I'm curious how you would compare or contrast this Avanti S V2 to the E-flight Viper 90?
They are both great planes... I'm my video, I flew mine, and a friend flew his Viper 90mm... th-cam.com/video/y0Zo9TdIM0o/w-d-xo.html I also own a Viper 90mm, the Non-USA Version from FMS, and they both fly great. The Viper is trickier to fly because it has a higher tendency of dropping a wing of you fly her too slow, especially on turns... The Avanti is more forgiving... They are both really fast, although the Viper being 90mm is faster. Have a great rest of your day 😁 Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 🌵 🦠 😷 🇵🇷
First sport EDF jet I’ve ever flown. Super ez to fly. One landing it did the bucking Bronco dance. Pulled one main gear clear out and busted up the nose a bit. Totally my fault. Long day,in the heat last flight. It’s all back together and flying fantastic. Learned my lesson!😂 Also keep it out of the direct sun. The canopy floor alligatored pretty bad.
That’s great the avanti was a great model but was falling behind with the times, the v2 is now competitive . I hope the other FW models get modernised . F14
Had the first Avanti S loved flying it but hated it was a foamy. Wish Freewing would make a V2 in composite. Would definitely buy it even if it was $400 more or double the price.
We have set up videos for the new reverse ESC. It has a signal wire that plugs into an open port on your receiver. Then assign that port to any two position switch to use it.
Shorter nose gear is not what we expected! We have been increasing the length of the original as it compresses under acceleration and points the nose down making rotation difficult thus increasing the ground run. This will be worse with a stronger motor. Should have made the nose leg longer NOT shorter. Anyway, its nice to see it remaining available.
I thought it was just going to be another over hyped jet. but nope. my new fav 80mm jet. Just leave the winglets off, not needed at all and should be a little faster.
motion went back to 12 blade fan units they sound better.l have several freewing jets my favorite and l think is a first great jet is the freewing F86 its great flying jet and looks real in the air
Yes I did find it but unfortunately the postage isn't far off the price of the edf to Australia so guess will have to wait until you guys have a cheaper postage service or someone in Australia get them as I know theres alot of us talking about this at our field
I bought the battery for it 5000 50c but only lasts 3 minutes flight time how do you manage 5 minutes also the motor draws 90 amps and the controller 100 amps the cable gets boiling hot all original cable and new it's no fun very poor but the model looks very bad good
80A / 5A = 16 60Min / 16 = 3.75Min (3 Minutes 45 Seconds) For safety and battery life: 3.75Min x 80% = 3.00 Minutes At 40A you would run 6.00 Minutes. I run full throttle take-off and half throttle flights for roughly 3.50 Minutes (3 Minutes 30 Seconds) of run time start to stop. FYI Most people will never notice any difference in speed between 95% and 100% throttle, but the 95% will give a little more run time. Even 90% is a very good trade-off.
I don’t trust this guy or any guy that works for Motion, because they’re only going to tell you the good things listen to the guys on the your flying field you’ll hear the truth good or bad
When is the freewing engineers going to get it right the first time. I'm not buying any more new releases I will just wait until they make it better. We can't keep buying the same plane over and over again. You Wesley do a great review but its ok to talk about the down sides too. You sugar coat every plane. Be honest for us.
The only reason I can see for you gushing is because this is your first Avanti. I am on my #5 now, exactly because it has been the best EDF overall since day one. The "improvements" are basically Bling.
I will never not have an Avanti. Absolutely perfect jet. Looks infinitely better without bare foam
Yes! The other I am going to get is the Free wing Vulcan Pro for $270. It’s a 70mm 6s! Uses the same Lipo as your Avanti. Did I mention it comes with Flaps and Retracts?
I am very happy it was
Not discontinued after so many years! Just purchased my second avanti a month ago. Will always have one in my hangar!
Great to hear!
@@MotionRCmight the team consider doing a short video of installing an after burner on this V2 model?
Thank you in advance
Any other color scheme?
HI WES WELL MRC IS DEFINITELY KICKING ASS WITH THE PRODUCTS THERE BRINGING TO THE MARKET. AMAZING 🇬🇧🇺🇲✌🏼🤩👍🏼

Oh yeah!
Love your enthusiasm! Great presentation.

GOOD JOB Wes !!! That one looks hotter than the older ones !!! Shoot , an I was wanting to grab a Cougar !!!
Please show a video on how to setup thrust reverse.
It’s very simple plug it into any open channel and assign it to a two position switch 😉 but we can make a quick tip video on it for sure.
As Samuel Johnson said, "When a man is tired of the Avanti, he is tired of flying; for there is in the Avanti all that flying can afford."
Avanti got even better! Good job Motion RC!
Love it. Now i need to get rid of my old one for room
should have added a nose gear landing light
I have had several FMS Avanti 70mms, among my favorites. Definitely need to order one of these. When I find more room 🤣
You should!
Flies really good!
I loved my Avanti S I have got to get this V2
The Avanti is my first and only model so far to pass 500 flights. For a reason.
Hi! Checked out your page . Your last upload was 2 years ago. I am your voice to start uploading again!

Great plane, but missing the nose wheel bracket on this V2 version.
The nose gear door design looks much better. The previous design had the doors trying to close while the wheel was still in the way.

Right on
Looks good. But how is it both New and Improved?
It isn't new, it is improved.
good job guys, big fan of the Avanti, specially after the rework...have to think about switching the engine in my older model against the new one...
The bottom its been wood even on the old version --lol
Indeed, and I didn’t really see any significant “upgrades” on it. Still prefer my original yellow scheme too.
Exactly. Makes me wonder what else he's just making up as he goes. And why review an upgrade version, if he never flew the original? Makes no sense.
Is the v2 motor a drop in replacement to upgrade our old version 1 ?
OMG!! Yeeeesss!!! Love it! Cannot wait to get one of these. 😃
I haven't had a Avanti yet😊
Yet? :)
She´s awesome :)
I wish they would make a 90mm version of this and the new cougar.
Hello ,when the avanti s v2 pnp will be back in stock? It is the best edf jet ever!!! i want it!!!
Looks like a really nice plane. Haven't been an EDF fan but this one have changed my mind. Whant one🙃
That’s great the avanti was a great model but was falling behind with the times, the v2 is now competitive . I hope the other FW models get modernised . F14
Agree... what about a new version of the A10 80mm with reinforced landing gear, and reverse trust or electric brakes😁🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

@fraziersutube Sebart Mini Avanti is composite fuse and wood/oracover wings and it is within the 2x the price range :)
The reverse Esc, how does it work exactly , no mention of this does this come in this new Avanti? Is it a second Esc ! Need a overview on this please!
We have set up videos for the new reverse ESC. It has a signal wire that plugs into an open port on your receiver. Then assign that port to any two position switch to use it.

This will be a nice model no doubt about it. Plan to get one soon if they don’t want it going up on the price
Get more of that power unit, to retrofit!
They should make a 90mm version. Beautiful bird but i would love a 90mm size in it.
I have a arrows husky with a 6s 3900mah battery. I want a 6S EDF. Would the 3900mah battery be to small for this plane?

Have you compensated flaps with elevator ?
If yes, how much ?

No this plane doesn’t require any flap to elevator mix
When will someone let us know how to set up the reverse thrust !!!!!

Try flying with less throttle. If you are at full throttle most of the flight then you are only going to get 3 minutes
