that's true, but the following Ki's didn't have that in mind. the ki61 for example is a direct clone of the bf109 cause the army saw that European designs are way superior in handling speed. the latest moment they had to acknowledge the superiority was 1942 when actual competition entered the pacific. performance wise the ki84 would beat every japanese plane and even american or british planes cause of the idea of light but powerful plane engines. here the problem was that it came too late and in too less numbers
Honestly, I still prefer the army branch (ki - line) than the navy branch. The Ki branch is very underrated in my opinion but still has a good amount of good planes (Ki 44, ki 61, Raiden)

You can do a much easier and safer strat than overshooting or dodging diving opponents. If the enemy is above you, fly right under them and slowly climb to not let them get a dive on your six, when they do dive, just pass under them or to the side. If the enemy is on the same altittude level as you, force a head - on. If the enemy is dumb, you can evade once they start shooting and flip around faster than they realize you're not there, they wont even have time to run away. If the enemy is smart they'll evade first, however, Zeros are absolute UFO's and you can just pull in enough to get a shot off, unlike most planes. If the enemy runs away from you like a kitten, turn around and make them think your six is theirs. You can then flip around and go under them, using the insane handling of the zero to get a shot off. Repeat that until the enemy gets tired and finally makes the turn of death, or until your teammates get him. If you get swarmed in a Zero its not as hopeless as you think. You can safely take on 3 planes as long as there's no more than a single spitfire amongst them. Make them all think you're an easy prey, turn off their brains and start fighting for the kill. Bait them into barely getting the shot off, flip around, go under them, force turning. Use the Zero's insane pulling capabilities to not let them shoot you, which is entirely possible as long as there's no more than a single spitfire. If there's a single spitfire - take it out first, you outperform it in every way when dogfighting and spitfire players are often used to outturning everything. By the time you crit or kill the spitfire others will come back, try to group them up so they're not scattered and all can be viewed by you. Then either go below and inbetween them, or to the sides. Repeat. Zero is a wonderful plane, I personally think that you just have a skill issue. A6M5's do get overtiered by soviet planes though, thats a fact.

Im aware of people doing this stuff but when you watch my videos you know they get farmed and toyed with. Also in early zeros you dont have the ammo or velocity to keep strategy up even if it would work and later zeros get outperformed by the a7m2

Also could you do a video explaining what to do with certain strengths like if a plane has good roll rate engage in a rolling scissors or if a plane has good energy retention equalise energy the climb at 5 or 10 degrees I really struggle with what manoeuvres or what plays I should make with the strengths I have and what to avoid if it is my weakness
A guide for energy maneuvers. . . Yes is doable but 80% of the time you will do: flat/rolling scissors, hammerhead or split s. The rest is just exotic and really situational
Check Defyn for active channels that somehow go into details of specific planes, AdamtheEngineerd, the inactive channel that is even more into detail and has some purely informational videos on subjects of dive speeds in relation to drag and weight etc. Finally I would advise You to watch some Smigol Time! as You will see that even dogfighting in a hs129 and using the proper displacement techniques in something that doesnt even want to fly in straight line will often allow you to outplay 80% of players who are totally oblivious to the things you ask about.

2 years ago all zeros got 1 br lower, what made sense cause then you dont have the a6m5 and a7m1 right next to each other. i have no idea why they changed that

The float plane is a a6m2 with floats. The only difference is that you carry heavy floats with you that bring extra weight, but you can destroy them with an safe crash. I didn't put it in the video cause I dont advise anyone to do it and at 2.7 you find way better Japanese planes

@@HeyImKatyusha From my own experience...it can turning with spitfire easy. Spitfires from higher br can't stand a chance against iar-81c. All you need for it's just to use take off flaps mod and reverse spitfire's tail
Fyi, the a6m2n is actually really good if you can break the floats on the runway, if you have to land, just belly land and you'll respawn in the air

The a6m5 Ko is probably my favorite plane in the game. I usually do quite well in it
