    I wanted this one specifically for vlogging and just got it about a month a go, I love it.

      It's good for vlogging and the price is right. I'm not sure why more people don't consider it.

    I have this camera and I've been using it for over a year now (a lot).... It's a super camera (when you have light)... not so good with low light..... The optical zoom is outstanding and sound is good too (not perfect). The battery life is Amazing!

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! 100% agree. The sensor is just a hair too small for low light pictures.

      Thanks! You're going to love it. It's so convenient and high enough quality that I've ended up using it way more than I use my $1000 dslr.

      That is what I like to hear=) I wanted something portable and with a flip up screen without breaking the bank... Perfect for me to take with me on vacation in August.

      +Jimmy Molina Thank you! I really appreciate it. Editing just takes practice. I still have a lot to learn lol.
      The camera is awesome because you can just pull it out and use it. You don't really have to mess with settings which is really nice. I still use it all the time. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

      SANTINI.IO thanx for responding. Yes its a good camera. I had a little accident with mine (meaning i dropped it) an i didnt buy the accidental insurance plan. But the camera still works. I just cant buy a new one right now. So i cant proudly show it in public hehheh. Ill try to buy a new one next year. I learned the hard way. Next time ill buy the accidental insurance plan

    Santini: You should just set your camera to -1/3 or -2/3 stops exposure and you would get the exposure you like without any editing.

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I edited those pictures I changed the levels and the brightness. But you're right, lowering the exposure would give you a similar result.

    I sent you a tweet on twitter, I was having some trouble optimizing my settings for the camera.

    I just sold my Sony HX60V, I'm thinking about buying this one. I think it would be the best choice for now. I have almost 370 Subs... So... As a beginner should be ok.

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it should definitely be fine. It doesn't take as nice of video as my dslr, but it's very close. Not to mention, it's way more versatile.

    • @MarinaLutzRusso
      @MarinaLutzRusso 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cannot find it in my country, but I found the HX90V for 260 Dollar. I think it is a very good price.

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a really good price for that camera. I think you will really like that camera. What I like about the HX90V is that it has a manual focus ring. The HX80 doesn't which I really would have liked. For instance, I was taking a picture of spider, but the camera would only focus on what was behind the spiderweb and not the spider..

      Hi! same as me))) I'am also sold my HX60V and bout HX80! but can not tell anything -still awaiting for delivery.HX60V was brilliant camera! Hopefully HX80 even better!

      Yes, the camera has a built in popup flash.

    What kind of sd card does this camera use?

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes a standard size SD card.

    Do u still recommend this camera now? Looking to buy either this one or Canon M100.

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To me, the Canon M100 makes sense if you already own a bunch of Canon lenses. Besides the ability to change out lenses, I think they would be pretty evenly matched. Not to mention, in order to use canon EF or EF-S lenses you have to have a lens adapter which is around $200 on top of the price of the camera. But the quality of the lens will greatly improve image quality over the HX80. With the size of the lens on the M100 you probably wouldn't be able to put it in your pocket like you can with the HX80 though.
      But don't just limit it to those two, i'm sure there are more cameras that have come out since my review.

    Where does the external mic plug in and how much do they cost?

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Baba Booey You have to use an external recorder. I was using a Zoom h4n in the video. The camera doesn't have a mic jack.

    Are you kidding me? The sony assitant told me this camera records 10 mins of video then it shuts down because of the ship . This camera is not designed for youtube vlogs

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You and/or the "Sony assistant" are wrong. I have taken multiple videos over 20 minutes. The video gets split into 4gb files after you are done recording. The max is 29 minutes unless you are in really warm weather, then it will stop recording before it overheats to protect the camera.

      SANTINI.IO do you know how long it takes to cool down ?

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really just depends on ambient temperature I would imagine. I've never had it overheat and I live where it gets relatively hot. If you were trying to run it for back to back for hours it would probably overheat too.

    Good video man! I just got myself a canon g7x mark ii for my vlogging that I do! Check out my channel when you've got a minute and let me know what you think!:)

      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Caleb Fitz Thanks! Sure thing. If I didn't already have a Nikon DSLR as my main camera I probably would have gone with the g7x mark ii as well.

      ahhhh I dream of having a DSLR someday.. My dream camera is the Canon 80D, but I don't have that kind of money! lol

    • @SANTINIIO
      @SANTINIIO  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Caleb Fitz Yeah, I know what you mean lol. The 80D is really nice, but expensive. Then on top of that the nice lenses add to the price. One day...
