Sonic Frontiers SHOWED Me Why I Love Sonic...

- It's here reaching far across these new frontiers that I found myself playing Sonic Frontiers, and having a blast, yet there was always the nagging feeling something was missing. Today I review Sonic Frontiers, and express my hopes for the series moving forward.
If you're wondering why I didn't really talk about the story of the game. im saving it for another video, as I not only didnt want to make the video too long, I'm also not that passionate about sonic stories and this one didn't really change that unfortunately. Also as for combat, my other video on the combat covered that already, and I'm glad to say everything I had hoped for came true with the combat system!

This game has established a very strong base for future Sonic games. Can't wait to see what this new "Frontier" of Sonic gaming brings.
I haven't enjoyed a Sonic game this much since Generations sure the last 2 recent entries didn't hit me as much but I wouldn't call Lost World or Forces bad. But Frontiers pretty much made me truly happy both in Story and Gameplay. I'm glad they got Ian Flynn to write the story of the games because I really love his writing it's good to see these characters in character again. For gameplay it's probably the most fun I had the combat probably being the best part and for Cyberspace I do agree they should have use more level aesthetics and not reuse old level design because the original levels in the last island were really good 4-4 is my favorite but I still love Speedrunning Cyberspace so for me I like them. I'm glad we're getting more free content for this game because this makes me more hopeful for the next game we haven't had playable characters in a 3D Sonic game since 06 and the Director is also taking feedback pretty well. Great video as always 👍
And that's why I love Sonic.

My Known Sonic Frontiers Positive Opinions
1. The game is my fourth favorite Sonic game.
2. Open World/Adventure gameplay than just linear gameplay.
3. The characters' models still have good graphic in some of the platform versions, although it they may still not have so great graphic as the Sonic Forces models.
4. The game is released just the same year as Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 and Sonic Prime TV show in 2022.
5. Amy is probably still mature and not an annoying fangirl stalker for Sonic since Sonic Lost World.
6. Sonic's new powers and skills.
7. Sonic Frontiers won an award from Japan.
8. Big the Cat appear in a non-car racing Sonic game and there is a fishing gameplay with Big.
9. Sticks the Badger was mentioned in the main canon, which means she will probably appear in the later Sonic main canon games.
10. It's one of the few Sonic games with longest gameplay.
11. The linear levels are short and not so hard.
My Known Sonic Frontiers Negative Opinions
1. Only Sonic and none of the other main characters are also playable in the story.
2. None other characters than Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Big don't also appear in the game.
3. The game wasn't released in 2021 for Sonic's 30th anniversary.
4. There are no town/city hub worlds and other human characters.
5. There are no CGI cutscenes in the game like in its trailer.
The ending is more ikaruga than galaga but yeah I understand what you’re saying
the air boost is pretty overpowered once you max out sonic's speed
I haven't played the game yet but I know I'm going to enjoy it :)
