    Check your current draw the controller runs at 350 to 450 ma. The controller is regulated to run the controller at 5 volts. If your test shows less or no current then it's the on board regulator. That's where I would start.

    This is "cold solder" on specific elements of the disc. Soldered again and I have 4 LEDs glowing, everything works properly and loads. The heating also did, but after a while it came back

      What did you solder exactly? I have the same problem.

    My old phantom 2 had a battery calibration area in the DJI Assistant software for windows? That same app should work on the P4 Wonder if that would help...

    You should take air blower heater and heat board ap to + - 200 C for about 3 minutes.i used a laser thermometer for checking temperature, blower heater
    Of course, separate the board from the rest, I did that and it works. I only have a problem with the Drone battery.
    The battery will not charge

    This video is a bit dated so I don't know if you've already tried this but try reflowing the board. I've been told that it works.

      what does that mean?
      I'm currently having the issue.

      I tried that recently, but no progress, now I will try the trick from this video.

    12:42 minutes to prove that the problem isn't the battery and leave you without a solution.

      Hello E F! The title of the video is "remote controller battery repair" which I covered fairly well... If your battery is busted, this video will help you. as well as goneredcar1 Part 1 - th-cam.com/video/mAF4utGqQyA/w-d-xo.html
      goneredcar1 Part 2 - th-cam.com/video/cMroxOnrtRk/w-d-xo.html
      I thought it would work for my problem, but it didn't. The commenters recommend a board reflow for me, perhaps that will help you.

    Do you have a link for any other battery sources? Seems everyone is out of stock. Different brand perhaps?

    I agree, it's the board not the battery. I was going to do the battery mod until I took the rc apart again and found the battery full (8.4v). Doing the reflow of the battery meter ic next to the LED's fixed the problem for me. Battery stops charging because it's full. Now I have all 4 led's lit and battery showing 100% in Go 4 app. See this: th-cam.com/video/6pr6YhdnOYg/w-d-xo.html

    Good evening, I have a Phantom 3 ADV and my control is indicating the battery charging up to the third light. I noticed that there is an electronic component that is responsible for the indication of the fourth light. Do you know what it would be? I'm sorry the ready

      It is the small IC right next to the LED's. This video points it out: th-cam.com/video/34P53lxTrsI/w-d-xo.html

    Richard, I had what might be the same problem and successfully fixed it with a targeted reflow of the circuit board. Video and some references are here: th-cam.com/video/6pr6YhdnOYg/w-d-xo.html

      travel | photo | film Very nice video! I ended up buying a replacement. If you like, I could send you my faulty controller so you can reinforce your hypothesis.

      Richard, I would be happy to take a look at it for you, if you'd like, though I believe it would have to be shipped without the battery (no surface mail reaches me overseas). Let me know what you think!

      Hi, I've commented last night on travels video. But I had the exact same issue with my Phantom 3 Advanced controller, and the reflow suggested worked perfectly. Been waiting months for a fix. Glad i stumbled across this. Thanks again guys. 👍👍

      Reflow was the way for me... 360 degrees on slow blow speed. Move fast, concentrate on back of board

    From everything I've read, it's a firmware issue.

    • @donaldmartim6249
      @donaldmartim6249 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brents Pepper no it's not firmware it is the battery I have the same problem and dji knows this you can replace it your self they don't whant you to because then they won't make the big money like they do know that's why after 6 months no warranty otherwise they won't make money I mean as much as you pay for the fantom 4 .really I expect something cheap to have problems but not somthing over 1500 hundred dollars

    • @brentspepper2087
      @brentspepper2087 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you know for sure that it is a battery issue and not a firmware or circuit board issue?

    • @donaldmartim6249
      @donaldmartim6249 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brents Pepper well because I had all that tested and I replaced the battery and my controller now charges fine that's how I know plus I down graded my firmware and still had this problem so I when back to step 1 the battery why do you think dji does not sell the battery for the controller on there sight because is something goes wrong you gotta either buy another controller witch cost over 300humdred. Or send it to dji witch also cost money right they know that .
