Our Inspire 1's controller battery is dead.
We want to replace it, so...
We will back with the solution for the rx battery replacement and the installation video!

Thanks!! It helped me to disassembly an Inspire 2 Remote, I had a losen knob, the plastic holding one of the bearings was strangely converting into sand... After some cleaning, hopefully there was still place to fit a longer screw that hold the bearing in position. Im regretting not recording the fix for the community. The only difference from your video, worth mentioning, is the ribbon cable connecting both parts, in this case it better after opening very slowly, its accesible to open the two connectors on the main board and the upper one, must do it very caution for avoiding breaking it!!. Removing from the ports board will make it very difficult to reconnect after reassembly... THANKS AGAIN!!

Gotta say - the part where you just press in on the two upper sides of the back of the remote and the back just pops off magically did not represent my experience. The back is held on with multiple tabs that all have a death grip and even with six spudgers inserted at various locations still no ability to remove back case. If i pull any harder some plastic bit is going to break for sure. And YES - all the f'ing screws have been removed.

Same here David, been prying all around the case (with the screws removed) and still won't release..

Whew, glad I'm not the only one. I'm bouncing between various disassembly videos and they all make it look so easy, while mine looks like a cactus it has so many spudgers sticking out of it, and I'm growing worried I'm going to break it. I'll keep trying with gentle precision but man... I hate when designs use these inaccessible deathgrip tabs in addition to screws. Ugh!

Edit / Update - I got the 2 shells to come apart. I noticed in the video that there are 2 main tabs holding the shells together -- one on top between the antennas, and one on the bottom below the 4 battery level indicator lights. I pried the sides open a bit and put a wooden "Popsicle" stick in to keep it open (without damaging the plastic like a screwdriver would). I then inserted a hooked pick (seen in "4 piece pick set") and slid it in and up against the tab on the inside, rotated gently, and the tab clicked and popped right open. Felt like picking a lock. Maybe this will help someone else in the future. :)

Hi, I ave the same problem in my Controller unit for P4.
I was checking the battery loading capacity and it was fully loaded. The indicator shows only two led's.
So, it must depend on some control sofware, upgrade ect.

What size hex key did you use at the beginning of the video? Thanks in advance!

How many mm tools do you need to directly disassemble the hexagon bolts in the video?

Mi Gimbal Dial on the remote seems to be broken. It doesn't go directly back to neutral which means my camera falls and doesn't stay put. Anyone know how to repair this?

Hello! DJI doesn't sell batteries. I have cells similar (little bigger) to DJI's. If you send us the controller we repair it for you.
