30 years ago my first car was a Datsun 1200, had a lot of fun in it. I can’t imagine it with over half a megawatt of power! This thing would be terrifying on the street.

for me the OG 1200 was the black Rigoli one.. I remember going to the old eastern creek and watching just absolutely beat up on everyone.

Mid 90s my first car was a 1200 sedan with a CA18DET unopened with just exhaust and front mount. It effing ripped. This thing and others like it would be insane to drive.
That amount of power in a 1200 ute being so light is borderline too much as is!!! Between that engine combo the paint job etc this thing is absolutely stunning!!! Could win show awards and dish out serious chop if traction allowed it!!! Proper street machine
Beautiful build boys. A credit to all involved. For those interested, there will be a nice '91 JDM U13 factory SR20 DET, manual, AWD Atessa coming to the market in a few months. Very rare Japanese Market factory muscle. The baby Godzilla? Imported in the late 90s low manufacture scheme. Might have this good head too? 😄

If i wanted to cheat death I'd build one of these lol. That would be insane with that amount of power. Fun, but insane. Lol
SR + 2.2 litre Nitto stroker kit + VE head + proper turbo + 500 wheel horsepower SR on pump fuel. It CAN be done, and you CAN do it, and you CAN get 200,000 kms out of that combo.

I don't think the X-Trail motor had dual vvl, where the n/a ones did. Ive done two sr20ve conversions in n14's, was so much fun. Did the first one in 2006, so long ago now I think about it, when the motors were $1200 😁
How did Michael fold himself into it to tune it? I'm a 5’6 short arse & I'm snug in them! I owned one with a pretty cool CA18DET a few years back. It was running less than a 1/4 of what this is running & it was a handful. 12psi of boost would light up in 3rd gear at 100. Fun mental cars.

So u telling me this ute had pj's running gear from his s13 for real pj's car was lightening quick for its time. Mate this datto ute would of been lethal. Then what that combo blew up. I bought a sr20ve head through pj amd I've spoken to him alot. I know what he is doing now to his s13 but I'm not saying a word
