You can't use the same 2-stroke oil you would use in a weed whacker. These are performance engines, they need performance oil, basically any oil rated for dirt bikes will do. I use Castor 927.
They say it's more protected because it tucks under the car's plastic cage but the JetPro comes with its own METAL cage that replaces the plastic one so that's obviously not true. As for the power claims, JetPro is one of the bigger names in RC exhausts and the power increase was just insane, it seems really unlikely that a chinese product that costs 25% would be able to match it. But hey, if you want to pay for it and send it to me, I'll be sure to test it and let you know :P P.S. Another advantage of the JetPro is that it supports adding a silencer, which I just did.
If you don't close the choke all the way it will start and run while you turn the choke off. Try it. Close choke 90%. This allows some air in so it can run while you shut your choke off. Will save you hundreds of pulls. And relieve your pull starter. Cool car.
Yes, definitely. And much easier to tune and keep in tune, not as sensitive to changing weather and such. I also have a 1:8 nitro monster truck and I like the big gasser much better.
If it’s tuned right it will start easy prime bowl put choke on pull , you will hear if it’s wanting to start , take choke off, and pull should start no probs 😜👍

DAVE RAYNER Did you check the usual stuff? Are you getting fuel and spark? Sometimes the red button can get stuck if there's dirt in it and that basically cuts the spark. Remove the spark plug, make sure it's nice and clean, turn the car over and pull the starter a few times to make sure it's not flooded. Then connect the plug, touch it against the engine to ground it and pull the starter. You should see it spark.
All Redcat gas 5th scale are "rampage", I suppose you mean the MT, as that's the only other 32cc rampage aside from the DuneRunner. Sorry, not sure about the compression.

Try to use the cheap afterburner pipe on eBay and compare it with the jetpro. They said it's more punch and mid range and more protected.

Depends how old he is. It does get hot, it’s very fast and very heavy (14kg). If you hit someone with it, it will probably break his leg.

Nice car. I have a 32cc rampage. I believe it has low compression. I'm getting between 55-65psi. How much compression should these engines have?
