that's because after u clicked on the page u wanted to delete u need to click somewhere on the actual page, and not the one shown in the thumbnail thing, and then klick the delete bouton.
For anyone having a problem deleting single pages, I suggest before trying all the other suggestions, make a duplicate and work with that one, it seemed to help me.
As of 2023, this does not work. When you do as you direct, a message pops up and says, "Are you sure you want to delete these pages from your document?" If you click yes, then it deletes ALL of the pages.
This is extremely helpful - smart - short tutorial. The key is all other text tips fail to mention that after you highlight the page you want to delete - you then have to click your cursor into that full page. I kept deleting the entire document until I saw your 1-MINUTE video. Well done!
@tech talk I notice that you haven't weighed in on any of the "it didn't work for me" comments. Would love to hear a response as I'm another one of those whose entire document got deleted. Here's what I did: View - Show Page Thumbnails - click on the page I want to delete - Delete - and a dialogue box pops up saying "Are you sure you want to delete all content from your document? An empty page will replace your content" And sure enough...that's what happens...the entire document is deleted and a single blank page appears. Could it be the version of Pages I and others are on? I'm on Version 5.6.1 Modified Nov 16, 2015. If so might you have any tips on how I/we can delete a single page? Thanks for your time and attention.

Hey Folks, I figured it out the solution to our problem. If your pages are grouped together and you find only the option to delete a "section" what you need to do is go to "File>Convert to Page Layout" click this and it should make all of your pages individual and unsectioned. LEt me know if this helps
Didnt work for me either. Two pages had come up in a poster I was creating. I only wanted to send one in my pdf post. Highlighted page 2 as you described but page one disappeared too.

Thank you, this didn’t work for me in pages either even after attempting to convert to page layout, however, after exporting as a PDF, I was able to open it in Adobe and delete the blank pages their by clicking view, thumbnails and then deleting the individual extra blank pages.
maybe it´s because there is a text box or something that you don´t see and that´s why the empty page is not acctully empty and doesn´t delete it´s self

No use when using the iPad App - that blank end page has no visible way to select, then delete independent of the rest: Tap to select it individually and the tap just selects all pages 🤷🏻♂️

Anyone who's still struggling, i did another method buy changing my .docx file to .pdf and was able to delete the blank page from just the view tab. Can change the file type back also after this

I found another quick video and you go to the "Document" tab, then click "Document Body" section about halfway down, and deselect (if it's automatically selected) then select the page to be deleted (in the thumbnail) and hit delete. It worked for me that way, otherwise I had the very same problem as you did. You may already know this by now but I have just seen your message and thought to help. Have a nice day.

Helpful. By the way the page has to be ABSOLUTELY BLANK. If u have pressed a space key while in a page it is no longer a blank page.

I tried this and did exactly what you said and it didn’t work because it deleted my whole document. I couldn’t undo the delete either so I lost my document.
Next time if that happens, you can look up "time machine" in spotlight search and recover that lost page.

I did all this, but it deletes the whole document and leaves me with a blanc page
It didn't work. The entire document deleted. I had to undo to get the document back.
