For a much more scenic drive in Bohol, drive south then east towards Jagna, Duero, Guindulman and then Anda. Coastal roads with mountainous backdrop. Then if you want to see treeless rolling hills and climb them, continue the drive to Ubay town. The treeless rolling hills are to your right side between Alicia and Ubay. Along the way you will see waves of rice fields on both sides of the road (you'lll start seeing them in the town of Candijay).
Hi Jonathan, you know a lot of Bisaya words already which is a good thing. I love all your vlogs. I'm always looking forward to watching them. Ayo-ayo, amping...
im pleased to see the hills have largely recovered from the damage from the earthquake a few years back... i was fortunate to have visited just a few months before the earthquake and had the opportunity to see them in their full glory, as well as a chance to tour one of the oldest spanish churches in the philippines that sadly did not survive the earthquake :( if you have the time to go back, i do recommend making the hike to one of the observation areas at the top of one of the hills... its tough to get a sense of scale from the drone footage, but trust me, by the time youve climbed the staircase to the top youll appreciate just how HUGE those hills are... its a 'leg day' activity for sure :)
Sooner than later the squatters will destroy the chocolate 🍫 hills the department of tourism they already reported to the DANR but no response was received.

Hi Jonathan, you got some nice video and pictures of the Tarsiers. Hope you can get back and see the Chocolate hills. Nice that you were able to get some drone footage of the Chocolate Hills from the road. The scene at the end of your video in the water and the beautiful trees and sunshine in Loboc was awesome.
Keep up the great work on your channel, very entertaining videos. You have the best type of personality for the type of content you are sharing. I saw in one of your earlier episodes that you are trying to decide what area in the PI to visit next and become your home base to work from. If you choose the Dumaguete area, let me know and maybe my wife and I could meet with you and share a meal. The second best decision I have ever made in my life after getting married to my wife has been retirement in the Philippines.
Thanks for watching! I don’t have plans as of now to visit Dumaguete soon, but it could be a possible destination! And this is a great spot to retire! I’ve read many comments of others wanting to do the same!
Bohol.. one of the best places in PH but its the hospitality of the locals that really made the place awesome.. Hey man, amazing videos. One question: I‘ll be in the Philippines in two weeks. first we plan to stay around 8-10 days in Cebu region and then head to Palawan. Would you recommend Bohol as the homebase instead of traveling around? From your videos it seems to be a great location to stay for trips. Thanks for your reply.
hey Cristian! In general I would travel around instead of just staying in Bohol if you have limited time. I've stayed here so long because I'm not in a rush; I live in the Philippines now. Bohol is a great hub since it's a 2 hour ferry ride to Cebu city, roughly 2 hour ferry ride to Siquijor, maybe 3 hours to Camiguin, and it has an airport, but it has gotten more crowded lately on Alona Beach just so you know. It depends on how much time you have and if you don't mind living out of a bag. I wouldn't skip Palawan... Siargao is great too. Siargao is for surfing while Bohol is for diving and free diving. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Thanks man. Yes, we will continue to Palawan after Cebu. Currently the plan is Bohol, Moalboal, Coron to El Nido to Puerto Princesa in 3 weeks. Yep. Driving fast isn't worth risking the lives of others. These people who fly through towns as fast as possible are doing just that, risking the lives of others. There are kids and animals that run out in the street and can easily be hit. In these videos I'm driving even more slowly because I'm filming, but in general I do drive slowly.
Oh no..the entrance to the Tarsier park was not paved well. What is Bohol's local government doing? They should make the entrance more enticing and welcoming, not too plain and actually ugly....

@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Thank you for the reply, Yes, Bohol is more cheaper to travel and the best island to visit because in just very short of time or just in a day, more places you can explore.
