Just bought it yesterday. Would have loved if this video would have been uploaded a bit earlier. One issue I think will be is the rear water/dirt that is going to be splashed because there is no tier hugger and the tail is small. Tank is fine. Everything is fine. Power is great compared to the segments.
Firstly, Congratulations on your new ride. Since you have already bought it and this issue is on all Guerrillas, there should be an aftermarket tyres hugger available soon. If RE doesn't make one, some company will. There could also be a possibility to retrofit an aftermarket one with some modifications. If the splash becomes bothersome, especially in the rain, I think you can consider getting one.
same from Hunter 350s non-existent disgusting mud-splash protection. I think twice about taking my bike out without wearing a waterproof trouser, if the road is not dry. Especially when RE is marketing these machines as daily commuters. And why should I pay extra for a tire hugger, as I already paid for the entire bike? How much would the cost have increased for RE? Mudguard and Mirror are always two departments where RE consistently underdelivers. Shame
Doesn't matter if you can install aftermarket tyre hugger or not. This should come under usability QA. Which it fails. RE can easily accommodate a tyre hugger but it won't care because it will sell like crazy. Also, fanboyzzzz will come at you with pitchforks if you point it out 🤣
Hello guys! Amazing review. Just booked RE GRR450. I was having second thoughts on buying Guerrilla 450 because wherever I scroll about the reviews, people just demean the bike. I did a test ride or Triumph Speed/Scrambler as well. Ofcourse it has a slightly better edge than RE but I found GRR450 better. I test rode this and the triumphs today. Surprisingly the Speed 400 felt the most comfortable in terms of seating, posture and maneuveribility. One other concern i have is the service quality among these companies. RE could not care less about the customers. Which one do you think is reliable?
I own a Speed 400 since July 2024. I have ridden a lof the other named bikes (KTM, Husquarna and RE Hunter 350). I have a very good dealer not far away I live and the service is very good. - Now I regret a little ... because this video makes me search for a RE dealer and ... even closer to the town where I live, I found one. So I will test ride the Gurerilla 450 next week.

Also I liked the riding stance on this one better than speed 400. This bike appealed to me more so I went with it. I hope this does well.
Watching your videos helped me decide to buy a Harley X440 mid variant (got 15k discount on offer). I test drove back to back the Maverick 440 and Harley X440, although the same architecture - I found Harley has more character in terms of how I felt while driving it - it sounds better, the riding position is commanding (maybe bcoz of higher size front wheel and flat handle), feels more expensive and well built and I was very clear it is the x440. Also test rode Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450 back to back. The test ride bike of the Himalayan was a bit old and the engine was noisy. Guerrilla was brand new, felt better built and the engine was relatively smooth compared to the Himalayan. Overall it didn't connect with the nature of the engine, it was fast but not characterful and. Low end pick up was not smooth. I even tried KTM 390 Adv, there as well I didn't like the engine character to my liking. Overall I loved Harley as some bike which is complete, well engineered and built for purpose from scratch and not just permutation/combination of same platform for different bikes. 1. Good Headlights and premium feel of buttons and parts. 6. Cheap maintenance due to Hero Service (also own XPulse 200 4v Pro) I always felt happier after the test ride of x440 and convinced. The bike gets some hate from some people but a few from the motorcycling community seem to have high praise for it.
Overall, Speed 400 is the more complete bike in this neo-retro segment. With USD, 4 piston radial caliper brake, awesome stock tyres, traction control, more tractable engine(better low end torque), better ride quality & seats, better tank capacity, range & mileage, beautiful DRL and an actual tail light😉. It has more advanced equipments and better power to weight ratio as well. Not to mention the best in class fit n finish. It's looks better & feels more premium ❤️
Much much awaited.. Took a "good" test ride, potholes, speed brakers and twisties, all done.. felt a bit vibey overall and a bit hard front suspension, but the power and delivery is almost at par with the 650's, with good handling and brakes.. The accessories are all extras though and dats a bummer..
What is your opinion on RE pricing the bikes differently just for the paint schemes? I feel it’ll be better if there are some additions in terms of accessories instead of just colour changes. What’s your opinion?
i think the concern for the tank range primarily comes from a daily commute/city bike perspective rather than riding 200kms at a stretch. A range of 200 kms means fueling up every alternate or maybe 3rd day which makes for an inconvienient city bike :/
Please make a detailed video of heat dissipation as I felt no heat in Himalayan where its diverted neatly under the thighs but in guerrilla my thighs were cooked in Guerrilla test ride!
got mine on 14 th august im loving this bike the reaction i get while i take it on a ride is amazing the only problem is i bought the brava blue and the maintainance is tough since theres no tyre hugger backside and its raining mostly in bangalore nowadays its kinda disturbing but hopefully that accessory should be available soon i guess
Hi Bosky & CK, i test drove and bike was putting a smile on my face 😊. One problem i had was when trying to take a U turn and the radius was too small.... did u feel that?
@bigbearbangalore coming from an electra the power is good but the ease of turning is a sore point for me.... how is it in speed 400 or scrambler 400x?
Last week I got a chance to test ride gurilla, and since I got chance I also rode the himalayan 😅 I could see that the weight difference is evident in gurilla! As it roars to life about2.5-3k rpm, torqy engine after riding RE I went to triump showroom and tried scrambler 400 yes on papers the power figures are same but torqe is a difference , I felt liner power delivery in it as it has higer top speed than gurilla! So all and all I can live with gurilla 👍
My CB300R has a 9ltrs tank n I m ok with it as I m a city rider. There r many like me in India. I agree wid u... If u want to do longer rides.... Go for Himalayan 450
can't decide between this and triumph 400X. Not planning to use it much in city and offroad, just lazy B-roads of short b-roads roadtrip. Maybe the 400x is more confy and a bit more refined?
Hi Guys , excellent review as always. Please include tyre sections as well. How's it?? Its the first 160 section in the segment. Is it overkill that hampers highway agility?
Hello. While a smaller section can improve stability perhaps the visual proportion can be affected. And with respect to availability, it was rhe same when the first 140 and the first 150 came out. After a while the market will respond and tyres will become available.
Finally, ❤ Uncle Bosky and Uncle CK, as always, rock 🎉😊 Ground clearance, at any point, seemed to be an issue? 🤔 And what's your opinion on the radiator cap being exposed? Like any kid could easily get rid of the lid. However, in the event of a crash, I don't see a major problem. Scrambler 400x has it in a much better position.
Hi Bosky, just wanted to know have you changed your engine oil for scrambler as of now ? And are you planning to put silkolene in scrambler also? Clocked around 4.5k kms as of now, when should I change the engine oil according to you ❤
Sir what's your take on the warranty period being relatively less?is RE not confident for its own product?btw which is a better bike among speed400,GRR and the svart in terms of reliability and ease of maintenance?I will be buying my first bike in a few months and wanted to ensure that I get to enjoy the experience rather than being worried about quality, reliability and unnecessary expenses etc.
It's so much fun watching you guys. Bosky sir which of the two (or both) are you buying ?...svartpilan or BSA Goldstar? Or CK sir is buying? Comparison video with the Speed 400?
Many of the Auto Channels have mentioned that the tyres, though fatter, are not great at gripping the road especially in the wet. Any thoughts on this?
@@bigbearbangalore If you could provide some info on this that would be great. Apparently the tyre sizes make it difficult to replace making this a major safety concern.
@LloydJ all sizes made an appearance for the first time sometime. This size is appearing now and will be available like any other tyre soon. It's a made in India tyre so I see no issues with availability soon.
If you had to choose between this and triumph scrambler 400x which one would it be? Also some reviewer complained about too much vibration at 100 to 120 speed what's your take on this?
Since I don't commute and will use the motorcycle on highways, I'd pick the GRR since it feels more planted ans stable at higher speeds on slightly bumpy roads.
Thank u both for the comprehensive analysis, from the bulgy front to the rear end sleek beauty 🎉😂. Planning to replace my Xpulse 4V with this in Jan '25. City commute & rare long rises this shd suffice.b Ofcourse if any Scrambler version is launched by year end I may prefer that
The tank volume in my opinion is a real-concern although may not be deal breaker. Most of us Indians are single-garage, single-machine owners. Not every body has either space or money to buy two bikes for two purposes. Considering people here are mad about going Ladakh, Arunachal, Sikkim and what not on what ever they have, with its average 29km on long-ride, it'll be a concern. Just 2 extra litters would have changed everything. Yes obviously it won't be a matter if sb is doing inter-city or inter-state due to availability of wide range of fuel stations in our country. And carrying some fuel on extra bottle can also be managed.
Great video sir,may I ask though what do you feel about the tire quality?Shumi on motorinc has stated that these are one of the worst tires in the wet. Also can you tell if switching these thicker tiers with a bit slimmer tire cause harm to the bike or make it unsafe since its handling has been built around the thicker tier.
I am really confused between this and the 401 thanks to your video on the Svart, which I wasn't even considering, a couple of days back. I need a subdued motorcycle. Not too flashy. I am 5.5" and will need the bike for weekend rides and on tours with my wife. Which one should i go for??
Hello Mr.Boskey & Mr. CK I need ur suggestions, tell me the bikes which are engineered for lifetime selling currently. If i buy it there must not be any requirement to change for next 20-25 yrs. Whch bike u suggest?
@@bigbearbangalore hard to digest. Thanks for ur opinion sir. Am in big confusion, i have tried test ride of x440 its best for my purpose cruiser and best pillion comfort but still some spark is missing. Suggest me some more bikes
I wish the tank was more retro like the speed 400. It was like they wanted to make the tank different just to say it wasn’t retro when the rest of the bike is.

The pillion seats look pretty muddy on most of the on road reviews (where they’ve run through slushy roads )😢, any ideas on how I could go about reducing it? 🤔maybe a hardtop box, wonder if it’d fit
Hi Sir , I am confused between Himalayan and guerrilla. I wanted a touring bike as I wanted my riding journey, but confused which will suit me as I do commute as to office .. I have test driven both vehicles I loved the initial pickup on guerrilla and Himalayan seating was awesome . Please suggest
One step at a time sir. We just got hold of this for 1/2 day and we need to understand it well. And we need to ride it much more. The comparison video likely is several weeks away. Regards.
Thanks for the reply.. Would keep an eye out for that review.. I’m considering either this or one the triumph twins.. My main usage would be office commute along with the occasional weekend rides..
By any chance upgrading the chain sprocket of Himi 450 to Grr 450's sprocket make any changes in the Himi performance ? will it improve it or ruin it ?
What about the tires sir? Can we get tires in the future easily for replacement or is it gonna be a tough one? I have this doubt because of the biggest rear wheel tyre in the market (160/60 R17). Thanks in advance.
Should be available. But yes there has been some supply issues of some sizes in the market. Am sure it will be available at least at the dealership workshop.
Yes! CK and his friend rode the GRR in rain and wet roads for more than 3 hours last Sunday on their way back from Chikmagalur. And they found no issues with the tyre performamce.
Hello sir ,Are tyres performing well on wet roads ? Is suspension adequate for our blore city roads (allot of bad patches with huge downpour and metro work), did you also feel this bike needed traction control?
Hi Bosky and CK, love your videos and the lovely old Bangalore accent! I'm looking (more like wishing) to upgrade from my Thunderbird 500 BSIV. While a natural upgrade would have been something like the Super Meteor 650, the stiff suspension is a put off (considering I'm a 40 year old IT employee with typical back issues). Have you heard anything about the Interceptor Bear 650? Also, would love a chance to join you guys for a ride, please suggest if you organise any single day rides around Bangalore. Thank you!
I picked the Guerilla 450 as against speed and x440. X440 doesnt suit my riding style as its not a rev happy engine. I am from a tier two city and I had to go to Hubli to test ride triumph which is like 160 kms. So it wasnt practical to get the speed 400. Moreover it didnt give the thrill as Grr450 gave while riding. Happy with the choice i made 😊
@@bigbearbangaloreSo I was watching your old video of breaking in the engine. I have a doubt about break in. Does breaking in influence the way the engine behaves in terms of acceleration and revs in long term ?
Bike looks good but the radiator cap is open unlike the himalayan.. Just worry if someone can do any mischief with it as it protrudes out. Whats your take sir? And finally which one do u prefer overall this or 400x as i m confused bet the two. 😊.. I am looking for a better scrambler tht can do it all and replace my cbr250.
Well, I'd not worry about that. Whoever puts their hand on it are bound to burn themselves, unless they plan and wait for it to cool and then steal it. That much effort to steal a radiator cap?
Exactly it is not for Indian mami's 😀. Like the suspension to be always on bit stiffer side for better handling. Would like to see a better finished new design chunkier swingarm. Higher seat height would provide a more aesthetic look. Would always prefer a telesscopic fork with more chunkier diameter. As it is Showa it will be of good quality. Hope Royal Enfield produce a high power version of this bike with around 55 - 60 bhp and around 43 - 45 nm of torque with the same 11.5 : 1 compression ratio. I am willing to shell out another 1 lakh rupees for the high performance version provided the engine and drivetrain is durable and very long lasting.
I am confused with Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450. I liked Guerrilla 450 on how easily we can manoeuvre within city but I am not sure whether we can take it for long ride like Ooty or Goa. On the other hand, Himalayan 450 good at highway/touring but not sure for regular city ride. Can you suggest me which one is good for regular city ride and occasional (yearly 3-4 times) highway/touring ride?

It has more advanced equipments and better power to weight ratio as well. Not to mention the best in class fit n finish. It's looks better & feels more premium ❤️

Love your review. Covers the practical implications, informative and funny as well. 2 cool uncles we can all aspire to become.
Thanks for watching!😊
This is a neo retro roadster 💯 i hope customer buys it for wat it is 😊

Much much awaited..
Took a "good" test ride, potholes, speed brakers and twisties, all done.. felt a bit vibey overall and a bit hard front suspension, but the power and delivery is almost at par with the 650's, with good handling and brakes..
The accessories are all extras though and dats a bummer..
🫡 Well done. Research before buying. 👍
What is your opinion on RE pricing the bikes differently just for the paint schemes?
I feel it’ll be better if there are some additions in terms of accessories instead of just colour changes.
What’s your opinion?
May be it's to offer a motorcycle at a lower price with a paint job that costs less.
Thanks for your impressions 🙌🏽 ordered mine 2 days ago 🤗
Congrats! Best wishes.
i think the concern for the tank range primarily comes from a daily commute/city bike perspective rather than riding 200kms at a stretch. A range of 200 kms means fueling up every alternate or maybe 3rd day which makes for an inconvienient city bike :/
👍
200+ kms range to me in city is adequate too.
Please make a detailed video of heat dissipation as I felt no heat in Himalayan where its diverted neatly under the thighs but in guerrilla my thighs were cooked in Guerrilla test ride!
There wasn't so much heat to bother us.
got mine on 14 th august im loving this bike the reaction i get while i take it on a ride is amazing the only problem is i bought the brava blue and the maintainance is tough since theres no tyre hugger backside and its raining mostly in bangalore nowadays its kinda disturbing but hopefully that accessory should be available soon i guess
Congrats. Once the rains stop, you'll enjoy more I guess. 👍
Its already out.. you may check with your nearest aftermarket shops
U get a large distribution and service network with this best in the segment beast ❤
👍
This or Speed 400, which is a better choice in that price bracket?
I'd pick the GRR because it's roomier and is more stable at higher speeds.
Bosky & CK, the review talks all about goodies; there are more cons in this bike which you can make it as another episode.
🫡
Hi Bosky & CK, i test drove and bike was putting a smile on my face 😊. One problem i had was when trying to take a U turn and the radius was too small.... did u feel that?
We didn't but have heard this about the large turning radius.
🙌👍
My CB300R has a 9ltrs tank n I m ok with it as I m a city rider. There r many like me in India. I agree wid u... If u want to do longer rides.... Go for Himalayan 450

Great review. Thank you. Single bike garage. Middle aged rider. G450 or the Inty 650 - when to choose what from your perspective?
I'd choose the GRR because it's lighter, faster and handles better.
can't decide between this and triumph 400X. Not planning to use it much in city and offroad, just lazy B-roads of short b-roads roadtrip. Maybe the 400x is more confy and a bit more refined?
GRR is better at highway speeds.
Im stuck in deciding between triumph 400x scrambler and guerrilla 450😢
Scrambler & roadster. Test ride to know more.
Can we expect a detailed comparison between the Guerrilla 450 and the Scrambler 400x
Not likely. Against the Speed 400, yes.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you. I appreciate your response 😊
Finally, ❤ Uncle Bosky and Uncle CK, as always, rock 🎉😊
Ground clearance, at any point, seemed to be an issue? 🤔 And what's your opinion on the radiator cap being exposed? Like any kid could easily get rid of the lid. However, in the event of a crash, I don't see a major problem. Scrambler 400x has it in a much better position.
No GC issues. Yes the cap looks vulnerable but a hand on it can burn and deter theft unless when cold.
Thanks for the video🎉🎉 , worth waiting for your videos

Genius ! Thank you.... That is Experience talking !!

a comparison with speed 400 plz... i am torn between two... which one to go for
Go for large network of distribution and service one , me also confused then i found gurreilla better…

Hi Bosky, just wanted to know have you changed your engine oil for scrambler as of now ? And are you planning to put silkolene in scrambler also? Clocked around 4.5k kms as of now, when should I change the engine oil according to you ❤
Yes I changed to Silkolene at 4,000 kms.
Hello bosskeyy good job on the review
We would also love some gear reviews expecting a review on your new taichi
Thanks. I wear it and enjoy it. Am not sure of making a review video. 🙏
I’m having second thought on guerrila and scrambler..which one should I buy??
I want to do long rides.
Tough choice. The 400X has better suspension. The G450 has better high speed stability.
Thank you both🤩😍
🙏
Sir what's your take on the warranty period being relatively less?is RE not confident for its own product?btw which is a better bike among speed400,GRR and the svart in terms of reliability and ease of maintenance?I will be buying my first bike in a few months and wanted to ensure that I get to enjoy the experience rather than being worried about quality, reliability and unnecessary expenses etc.
There's extended warranty for 2 more years available at an additional cost.
It's so much fun watching you guys.
Bosky sir which of the two (or both) are you buying ?...svartpilan or BSA Goldstar? Or CK sir is buying?
Comparison video with the Speed 400?
Thanks.
Am buying the Goldstar 650.
What do you think about the nw Yezdi Adventure 2024 edition? Build quality and reliability
Yet to ride it. Will share when I do.
If you have to choose between scrambler 400x and guerrilla 450 what will you go for ?
G450 because I have the H450.
Tyres on this or Tyres on Speed? Which are better? (MY25)
From what I've ridden, I haven't felt any difference.
Many of the Auto Channels have mentioned that the tyres, though fatter, are not great at gripping the road especially in the wet. Any thoughts on this?
Didn't experience any such on this ride. May need to ride it more to understand this.
All rounder bike! yes took the test ride going to take few more before pulling the trigger ❤
Good way to go.
City commute & rare long rises this shd suffice.b Ofcourse if any Scrambler version is launched by year end I may prefer that
👍🫡
👍
Needs of many 😃 Good one.
🙏
Great video sir,may I ask though what do you feel about the tire quality?Shumi on motorinc has stated that these are one of the worst tires in the wet. Also can you tell if switching these thicker tiers with a bit slimmer tire cause harm to the bike or make it unsafe since its handling has been built around the thicker tier.
We did not ride on the wet. And we found it good in the dry.
Try it and then decide if you wish to change or not.
@@bigbearbangalore is it safe to change from one profile to the other sir?
I am really confused between this and the 401 thanks to your video on the Svart, which I wasn't even considering, a couple of days back.
I need a subdued motorcycle. Not too flashy. I am 5.5" and will need the bike for weekend rides and on tours with my wife. Which one should i go for??
Like we said, test ride back to back to know which you enjoy more.
Waiting for this video thanks for this

@@bigbearbangaloreThank you!!
Great review. Is the 17 inch front tire too small?
Not for a roadster
Thanks.
17" Makes the handling nimbler.
If it’s meant to be used within the city and occasional outside the city, then I would expect the turning radius to be atleast as much as the Classic.. 😊

The pillion seats look pretty muddy on most of the on road reviews (where they’ve run through slushy roads )😢, any ideas on how I could go about reducing it? 🤔maybe a hardtop box, wonder if it’d fit

Test ride back to back on the same roads and choose please.
Can a tachometer be installed in base model?
Unlikely
Why no comparison with the Triumph twins? I would have expected you to compare with the Speed & Scrambler 400 as you own one yourself!
One step at a time sir. We just got hold of this for 1/2 day and we need to understand it well. And we need to ride it much more. The comparison video likely is several weeks away. Regards.

By any chance upgrading the chain sprocket of Himi 450 to Grr 450's sprocket make any changes in the Himi performance ? will it improve it or ruin it ?
Changing the sprockets can take away the strength of the H450 which is it's easy highway cruising ability.
@@bigbearbangalore ok.. ! About the tyres any particular reason they chose 120/160 section tyres, instead of a slimmer section ?
What about the tires sir? Can we get tires in the future easily for replacement or is it gonna be a tough one? I have this doubt because of the biggest rear wheel tyre in the market (160/60 R17). Thanks in advance.
Should be available. But yes there has been some supply issues of some sizes in the market. Am sure it will be available at least at the dealership workshop.

Hello sir ,Are tyres performing well on wet roads ? Is suspension adequate for our blore city roads (allot of bad patches with huge downpour and metro work), did you also feel this bike needed traction control?
I have same query about performance of tyres on wet roads during monsoon.
Tyres good on dry. Did not get to check on wet roads. Suspension adequate.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you for your reply.
Should traction control be available in this bike as it is light and agile as compared to himalayan also it is fairly powerful bike of 40bhp
Would be nice to have.
its 40 bhp man, TCS is an overkill.
Better improve your skills 😂😂
One should not need "traction control" for a 40bhp, I mean you can't even handle a literal 40 bhp?

Happy with the choice i made 😊
Congrats & best wishes.

@@bigbearbangalore thank u, but you don't answer which is ur pick bet this and scrambler 400x 😅..?
@@bigbearbangalore Best ans ever sir..to a bullshit statement thats been spread by some so called motorcycle reviewers..😊😊
Need to ride the GRR quite a bit more to be able to compare.

On the other hand, Himalayan 450 good at highway/touring but not sure for regular city ride. commuting is the first priority. Thanks for the quick response.
