I've got a 1979 Chevy K10 short bed truck. He talked about the steering and suspension, he's dead on the money. If I had the money, I'd get this chassis and put it under the truck, no questions asked!
These legend trucks are a great way to get a modern feel in an old body style. Think modern day pro touring. These are not for serious off roading not just sliding around in the mud or running up fire roads/gravel paths. A solid axle front while riding much harsher is for legitimate use like a truck is intended to be used. This is why even modern day 3/4 and 1 ton trucks still come with solid axles. Now the cool trick would have been to adapt modern day coil spring solid axle technology to a 1/2 ton chassis like the K10/K5. I use my 86 k10 short bed like a real truck. I off-road it frequently and use it to go to the dump and haul whatever my boss (wife) tells me to from the hardware store. These are beautifully manufactured and engineered but let’s be honest if you spend this much money on an old squarebody you are not going to break and beat it up in Moab or King of Hammers. No shame in that just different tools for different purposes.
I’d love to see one of these for my truck. It’s a 1999 Silverado, single cab, step-side. My grandfather bought it new, he passed and my aunt had it for several years. She gifted me the truck, but the whole frame and underside is rusted out. I’ve official put it in storage. When you guys have something, I’ll definitely throw down the cash to get my grandfather’s truck running again and have it be part of the family for generations to come.
Hey guys what you are doing is freaking awsome . The only complaint seems to me is the ifs instead a solid axle. I have a simple solution design and build a front skid plate that makes it looks like a solid axle thats all people want it is a image holla back let me know what ya think.
I watch South Main Auto on youtube. Eric is always talking about 2016/2017 Chevy pickup trucks with rusted out frames, failing the New York State safety inspections. These trucks end up in the junkyard. The bodies look decent, the frames are a mess from winter salt. You have a lot of potential customers with new trucks out there.
18:18 HAd a thought... How hard would it be to make those wheels accept a 3/4 ton stock hub cap? Looks very similar but it's bigger in diameter and might fill in the wheel even better.
more videos of vehicles that are actually being built by Roadster Shop, than your podcasts would be much appreciated . . . if I'm correct you make bespoke ladder frame chassis for classic body-on-frame vehicles from the yester years . . . please advise . . .
You had me up till the cost. I optioned one out and it came out to a price point higher than I just paid for my 23 TRX. It’s a cool product but come on man.
Good that you chose a TRX for yourself. Some folks love the old trucks for style and a reminder of happy times so this RS product is a game changer and makes the old - new.
I'd love to redo my 72 Chevy short bed 4x4 with this chassis but, I think I'd rather have the 6.2L V8 or the new 3.0L Diesel with the 10 speed transmission if available. As good as the eight speed transmission is, the 10 speed is better.
I drove my friends newly restored 82 blazer once.. and it was the worst thing i have ever driven. Given his steering angle was a bit out but anyway. It would chase anything on the road and you had to constantly counter it.. my 70 c10 rides like a brand new Mercedes compared to that.. 😂
Love the philosophy around the 17 inch wheel. Just enough to clear the brakes and plenty of sidewall.
The complete trucks look great.

Exceptional work guys
Amazing work, gentleman.

After the money i've spent on my Suburban, I see incredible value in these chasis, especially with the motors/trans/t-case.
You are absolutely correct. I’ve broke the price down for my 55 Chevy. I’m saving up to purchase a new chassis from you all for my 55. Great work.
I have a 1980 C10 - I’d love to have this under it. It’s perfect.

I hope there would be an inline six diesel package platform in the future
Time to build a 2nd Gen Ram legend series with a 12 valve. Partner with Power Driven Diesel.
I think it is a very very fair pricing
I have a 1964 Chevy stepside C10 need the chassis done. Don't know where to start . Great video
I would expect top notch customer care/service after a sale of this quality..badass ride, over services from the big 3 💯🏁
Great work! Do this for your other chassis.
Great video!

Hermoso chasis y componentes, hay la posibilidad de cambio manual?
I'm thinking 40k, am I close? Worth it based on the Squarebody market.
Would yall be able to build a beefier suspension for the rear to be able to put a four wheel campers hawk camper in the bed.
Can you put coilovers on the rear of the legends suspension?
Would love to see a 5.9 cummins in one of these trucks

Whats the Weight rating / Towing rating on the Pickup?
When is the projected date for when the Legend Series will become available for the 67-72 C-10's? Because I am saving up right now.
And will the chassis be available for longer wheel base trucks?
These are going for $200-250,000 turn key you supply the truck and typically they don't do paint or interior mods. IDK...
You said No😂 Does it come with ABS?
You should make a chassis for 70s f100s
We make our SPEC, FAST TRACK and RS4 setups for 67-72 and 73-79 F100's 👍
And a dually

Squarebody suburban chassis?
i need that without the engine trans and expensive exhaust.
Roadster shop please can I buy the body scan model of the 47-53 Chevy truck just the body scan is all I need so I can mess with it in cad.
Make a long bed

Over $80k for complete package 😂😂
Not for average blue collar Americans
Cool stuff but after seeing the prices these guys are high off their ass.
This is freakin Awesome!
