I will NEVER understand the hate for this game. Ever. EDIT: I was a child when I wrote this. I completely get it, and I used to hate the game myself. But it's not all that bad, I do care more about this game now all these years later considering what has happened to this series. I will always be disappointed by the game but I will never hate it.
@@barles_charkley614 unfortunately yes. At the time when it was released, it got a hell lots of hate from fans because they said that Connor was not charismatic enough compared to Ezio plus he is kinda boring. But this game gets a lot of love now because at that time most of the fans were immature to understand the depths of ac3's story.
I Am The Marble connor is one of the best fighters in the creed for me, sheer brutality and power unmatched by any other assassin. An absolute beast in hand to hand combat and a deadly shot with a bow.
This game made me realize the Templars weren't necessarily evil. And I love that in a story. A story in which you can understand the antagonist's motives. Great game.
Yanis Games how do you describe the "right way"? IMO the People are not capable to live without rules and order. Maybe the templars are a bit too rude and brutal but after all, Humans want to be ruled
but the power templars gave people showed kinda how evil people really are. thats why the templars needed to be stopped in every game. that concentrated power made every templar gone full mad and evil. while pure freedom what assassins search makes everyone same powerfull. that view is the only one why every assassin hunted templars down. but not ezio. ezio just took revenge. its ezio u know
@VOLD GAMER Whilst I do love Ezio, I'm so glad that the Ezio Generation is going away. They were so vehemently against every new game and their blinding nostalgia ruined it for the rest of us. AC2 was a truly, truly fantastic game, but it's time for the franchise to move on. Bayek is the new Ezio, and Origins is the new AC2. Universally loved, praised by critics, and a step above in the gaming world. Then, much like Connor followed Ezio, Kassandra has followed Bayek. Disliked at the start, but give it a few years and people will look back at Kassandra and absolutely adore her like the fandom adores Connor.
Everyone keeps saying: "Don't waste your life playing videogames, go make memories", What they don't know is that video games give me the best memories of my life.
It's the best AC theme ever, I reckon. Really emotive, stirring and inspiring. Connor might have been a bit of a charisma vacuum, but he was a badass with that tomahawk. He's like the Dirty Harry of the AC franchise. The game's a glitchy mess even now, but I still love it.
So happy I’m not the only one for who this soundtrack is so powerful, with so many happy memories tied with it. When I was 11 when it first came out and had a great time playing it and dreamed about being one day Assassin like Connor. I’m not a nerdy type, but I will remember this soundtrack and game to the end of my days.
“It takes the strongest man in the world to fight for something he gains nothing and loses everything from for the greater good of everyone else” -CONNOR this quote still gives me goosebumps!
Out of all AC games, AC:3 had the saddest soundtrack. You can feel the hopelessness of Connor as he witnessed his people being extinct and being lost like grains of sand slip away from your hand.
As a Native myself, it was really nice to see representation in a franchise that I loved dearly. And while I was a young boy when this game came out, I still thought it was cool and awesome to see a Native American Assassin. Even as a young child I somewhat had a concept of the struggles my people went through in the past, and as a young man understanding what happened, and seeing Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor fight for our people and holding true to his beliefs, even if naïve, he never lost his ways. Even after losing everything, his mother, his father and father-figure/mentor, his best friend and his tribe abandoning the village. Never did he waver. To me, Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor is an inspiration. While obviously there is no Assassin's and Templars in our reality, his fighting spirit is something I feel I can resonate with. Feeling like that I too could make a change if I kept fighting for what I believe in... Even if it is a distant dream. Assassin's Creed III really did feel an underrated game, especially for it's time. I hope people will appreciate it more, especially since the audience itself has grown from it's release date.
I'm also native, but at my school people usually judge me cause of my skin tone, but AC III made me think about how barely anything has changed with natives, and my bus ride home, everyone starts being racist towards me, some people call me a savage, so that's why I always have a fork with me :)
Dude, hearing your speech over the song gives me goosebumps. Ratonhnhaké:ton is by far my favorite assassin. Like you said, he fights for hope, freedom, and what’s right. All I’ve ever wanted to do with my life is fight for freedom, so that people may feel the same inner strength we feel. The closest I’ve got is the peace corps. Hold on to that fighting spirit. Fight for what you believe, for what you are. Never waver. Never surrender.
“Mother, Father, I am sorry, I have failed you both. I made a promise to protect our people, I thought, I thought if I could stop the Templars, keep the Revolution free of their influence, then those that I supported would do what was right, they did I suppose do what was right - what was right for them. As for you father, I thought I might unite us, that we would forget the past, and forge a better future. In time I believed you could be made to see the world as I did, to understand, but it was just a dream, this too I should have known. Are we not meant to live in peace then? is that it? Are we born to argue? To fight? So many voices, each demanding something else. It has been hard at times, but never harder than today, to see all I have worked for Perverted, Discarded, Forgotten. You would say I have described the whole of History father, are you smiling then? Hoping I might speak the words you longed to hear? To validate you? To say that all along you were right? I will not. Even as I am now faced with the truth of your cold words, I refuse, because I believe things can still change. I may never succeed, the Assassins may struggle another thousand years in vain, but we will not stop. Compromise. That is what everyone has insisted upon, and so I have learned it, but differently than most I think. I realize now that it will take time, that the road ahead is long and shrouded in darkness, it is a road that will not always take me where I wish to go, and I doubt I will live to see its end, but I will travel down it nonetheless. For at my side walks hope, in the face of all that insist I turn back, I carry on, this ....this is my compromise” - Connor Kenway
@@asmundtheold7951 If you played Rogue you would've known that Achilles named Connor after his first son, who died along with his mother. This is one of those little things that make AC3's story so good.
Connor saw his mother burnt to death, had to leave his village, had to bury a man who was like a second father to him, was abandoned by his people and was forced to kill his own father and best friend. his story was the saddest and most tragic one, yet he survived and became someone very great. i seriously get so mad every time someone says he's boring or undeveloped.
Lol he is boring. Mostly. In the homestead missions hes 10 times better. But he is probably the best combatant out of all the assasins. The dude literally could cut down 100 fucking dudes
@@takeurpills6024 Either Arno or Connor have the saddest backstory. Arno literally has nothing left by the end of the game, not even the brotherhood. But Connor also lost tons of things aswell. Hard pick.
It’s sad to know that Connor thought he was fighting for freedom so that the British could go away and his people could be saved, but instead it didn’t change anything. At the very last cutscenes you see slaves being sold, his people gone, and every person he loved gone from his life. He was nothing more than a weapon being used, caught in a war that would change the course of history forever. Connor is the definition of an unsung hero if you really think about it.
@@legostarfiremanTragic irony. Connor fought so hard thinking he was doing what was right, and everyone told him how naive he was. And anyone who knows half of anything about American history knows EXACTLY what came to pass over the next couple hundred years as the US expanded West. If Connor had known, would he have chosen a different path? Just taken his people and left with them?
@@dadwithmilk3740 Ubisoft could've made more sequels for each of these deserving protagonists and not just Ezio. Instead they ditched the franchise, and are now making something that is definitely.. not Assassin's creed. It pains me so much such a good game is now abandoned.

Connor is by far my favorite assassin, he watched his mother die, his village burned to the ground, had to kill his best friend and his father as well as watch his mentor die and in the end he was betrayed. The men he sought to help were the very ones that drove his people away, making his journey worth nothing, all he did was create a nation he originally wanted no part of
I love the fact that this theme is also played when Desmond decides to sacrifice himself, representing perfectly the sacrifice and bravery of both characters, desmond and connor. The best of this theme is that gives you mixed feelings of epicness and adventure, but also feelings of sadness and lonelyness. Just like Connor and Desmond. They would never change their decisions despite their fatal consequences
what i like more about this particular theme is that the leitmotif/medley for it is actually teased since brotherhood in various tracks, mostly in the modern day plot.
Totally agree with you. Always thought the same thing as you. This theme is really catching. When the tune rises you can feel the drama of the two characters. Connor who tried really hard to protect his family and his creed, on the other side Desmond, who had one chance to save the whole world from an inevitable catastrophe
“Sometimes standing against evil is more important than defeating it. The greatest heroes stand because it is right to do so, not because they believe they will walk away with their lives.”

Such a breathtaking moment. Especially from a guy who loves American history. I remember snagging a copy the day before release and played it all night. Fantastic game!
most badass intro ever. what i love the most is after 8 hours with the game you get to america and you're like "was that the introduction?" lmao. the story is so damn long. i love it
Black Flag??? That's the least-Assassin's Creed game in the Assassin's Creed lineup. It's a pirate game, with AC integrations near the end of it's development to make it an AC game. A fun game, yes, but nowhere near a true AC title. AC2, AC3, Unity (after it's many bug fixes), Syndicate (probably the best since AC2), are all excellent games, with excellent stories and gameplay. I've not finished Origins yet, but it looks promising.
Damian Howard yeah because I love playing a game where the protagonist has no emotion and has a boring personality throughout the whole game. Wow ac3 is such a masterpiece lmao and let’s not forget about the cliche plot of the game where u killed my parents so I’m gonna get revenge in the future and make u pay. Such a masterpiece game lol
The reason why this theme differs so much from the other AC games was that it never followed the ezio’s family routine. It went for its own fresh take, and it came out with an amazing soundtrack. This game was too good for its time.
Also Hans Zimmer became massively popular. If i didn't know better and someone asked me to name that track I'd probably guess it was something from the Inception OST.
I don't get why it got so much hate. It introduced new gameplay mechanics, a very relatable character (who doesn't love Ezio and Altair, but you gotta admit they are a bit superhero-ish and too confident) who stood alone, and came to the point where another AC like 1 and 2 would've been labelled like CoD. Well, that *did* happen now, but at least we got 4 great games.
the ending was kinda shit, like you did all this great things to hype up desmond, then..dead. the game spent a lot on desmond, and the conner sections, while k, got boring quick. you couldn't really run well very well because buildings where incredibly far apart, and in my honest opinion Conner felt..incredibly boring and not really relatable..
+Vladicarus From being treated like second class citizens in your own country to having your mum die at an early age to sacrificing so much for so little gain, I'd say Connor was very relatable. I am an Ezio fanboy but Connor is easily the most relatable Assassin. He is a tragic character and one of my favs.
@@alduinfr I liked his grumpy stoic personality, not every main character has to be marvel superhero type cracking jokes and being a goofy or being ladies man etc. AC3 has a sad story, Connor was focused on revenge mission, there is no reason he could be another way.
Now THIS and Assassin's Creed Rouge were both underrated games, and Connor was probably one of the most tragic Assassins to live, and yet he became a badass in the end, Shay fought for what was right and became a templar. Godspeed to you both, Connor and Shay.
+Gamer4 Life Actually I'm starting to see AC3 getting a lot of love and Especially Connor. I'm guessing the haters had more voice as to where the people that liked it stayed quiet
I don't understand why so much people don't like this game. It has such an amazing soundtrack, gameplay, story, and so much more! Its a guy who weilds a tomahawk and a hidden blade that fights for freedom! Definitely in my top 3 video games of all time.
I disagree... The reason I dislike the game so much is because of it's protagonist, Connor. I didn't feel in anyway sympathetic toward him in the entire course of the game. Well apart from his intro, with his mother's death. It's generic but you gotta have something that drives you I guess. Nevertheless, I felt more sympathetic towards Ezio in the beginning of Assassin's Creed 2 when his father and two brothers were publicly hung than I did towards Connor in the entire game. He was the sole reason I disliked it so much. Although, the gameplay is fun and, with the other Assassin's Creed games, the soundtrack is amazing! Again; just my opinion. I believe that Assassin's Creed 2 is the only good Assassin's Creed game, anyway; and I'd consider it one of my favourite games of all time!
Andreas Carl Estoy de acuerdo con el Assassins 3, es muy bueno. Pero el Rogue? a mi parecer no hay nada nuevo, prácticamente reciclaron casi todo del Black Flag.
Things people misunderstood at the time but now greatly appreciate: Nikola Tesla Man of Steel Assassin's creed 3's nuance, storytelling and character development Connor was one of the greatest AC protagonists
Bro, I feel you. I played this game a long time ago, when I was still growing up and had a life ahead of me. Then my life fell apart, and only after that did I realize the true meaning behind this game.
@@kazekagejichujisoo7838 You can't place all the blame on Connor though. Achilles was using Connor as a tool and sending him wherever he saw fit while always shooting down his ideas and berating him for daring to ask questions that were unorthodox such as actually trying to negotiate peace between the Assassins and Templars instead of always slitting their throats. Neither of them were perfect at the end of the day and I hate when people always resort to the "Connor was a brat" meme and conveniently omit all of the occasions in the story where he shows maturity and depth in addition to how the people around him try to act sly and manipulate him through clever tricks and false promises.
dude he corrupted the brotherhood and shay showed us that also he put an end to his madness but then again poor connor still least he trained him to be a badass assassin goes a salute to achilles despite being well weird
Third one was a disaster. Even the psychodelic DLC was miles more interesting and actually fun to play. Everything post-revelations was incredibly underdeveloped in story and narrative departments.
if you think that AC III games are boring, you are wrong. Connor's story was very good and amazing, he tried hard to get instructions from the head of his village to find symbols of assassins to avenge him and defend the truth, the character of Connor was very strong, determined.

+AndroidTutorials bah you probably just wanted native American ezio, the man lost his family at 5, saw his mother burn to death, witness the cruelty of the adult world before he could finish his childhood and you expect the guy to be anything but monotone and serious? The way I see it, he's life a more serious batman
Even though people say this is a mediocre game I always disagree because this is probably one of if not the best Assassin's Creed in my opinion it brought me into history and the franchise
One thing I like about this series is how different each game can be but still feel the same. You can be a Native American Assassin during the American Revolution, a demigod during the spartan ages, an assassin during the renaissance period, or a pirate who sailed the Caribbean alongside blackbeard. No matter how different, each game connects to the bigger story between the templars and assassins whilst having its own self-sustained story.
Every time I hear this theme I actually reflect on this game and honestly Assassin's Creed III is and is still my favorite AC game in the series simply for the sake of gameplay reflecting both theming and narrative. It was pivotal moments on the series in which it attempted to place a sort of climax on their crappy animus story; but honestly it more do relates a story about a young man who due to his herritage is in essence often torn between two completely different worlds those between his native American ancestry and his Father's involvement in the war between the Assassin's and the Templar's while caught up in a very transformative time in recorded human history with Connor being caught up in the middle. His role and estranged relationship with his father made him a perfect parallel to Miles and was probably the only time that so saw Miles even remotely relevant as a character; simply because the game now has a protagonist that can directly relate and act as a foil now.
***** Honestly more or less because AC as a series invested WAY too much into Ezio, and he by many fans is believed to be the best protagonist in the series. But ACIII gave us a real departure from the Ezio saga and try the propel the series forward to avoid it becoming a monotonous mess; which ultimately happened with the rise of Unity. What made ACIII so potent to me was the fact that it had an overarching climatic feel, and the timeline was more or less had a greater impact to the leading events that would shape our modern history. As a player we have a more direct attachment to the series of events because we in fact have a more familiar understanding of the events going on. (..especially for Americans). But patriotism aside; Connor was a strong, stoic, but idealistic character who still struck the game as a very young Assassin who has a very unspoken but direct parallel to Miles Desmond. In the sense that because of his lineage he was ultimately staged and used as a pawns for those who were with him, those who were against him, his own father, and ultimately fate itself. Pretty much by the end of the series Connor has accomplished his goal, but now he not lost his tribe, his allies, his people, his father, and almost his entire sense of ideals. Despite his strong belief in Freedom; he aided men who not only owned slaves; but ultimately forced his own people out of their territories for expansion of settlements let alone who were the cause of his mother's death. What Connor did ultimately may have had made a historical difference; but his ideals never sought true meaning to the end with his distinct vision of black and white dulled by the gray lines of morality, self interests, and conflict between the Assassins and the Templars, and as a result Connor had to learn and develop into a master assassin the hard way through loss and betrayal.
Connor Kingston Yes I have and honestly I prefer 3 because from a gameplay perspective it had a much better sandbox overworld and sandbox options. Aside from which story wise while I find Ezio to be a entertaining protagonist, they sorta milked his character out for 3 games and its because of his overexposure he's really the face of this series; However I prefer Connor's character and story a whole lot more because he fits into this more stoic badass who through a lifetime of tragedy has essentially had almost no choice of his own down his inevitable path in history in which he was essentially used by everyone to meet their ends. Ultimately it didn't change anything for him or his people; but he still made a difference. His ending with his personal war against the Templars was really that of a pyrrhic victory. He killed Charles Lee; but in the process he lost his family, his loved ones, his ideals, his beliefs, and most importantly his own people and their land. In the end through his efforts he is ultimately alone. But they didn't have to go through 3 games to get there.
***** I wouldn't say entirely over-rated; but he is indeed over-hyped due to the sheer amount of subsequent sequels based on him. It's hard not discredit someone's popularity when in general they are a victim of over-exposure.
The hate surrounding this game really frustrates me. This was the first AC to truly try something different and all people did was complain. I love this game and the American Revolution is my favorite historical period. Can't wait for AC Origins!
The American Revolution was my favorite historica time to learn about too! I've been trying to tell people, This game teaches you a LOT!!! I learned a lot about the America Revolution, and I really enjoyed it! I usually hate learning, but this opened my eyes to a whole new world! Yeah, a big chunk of the Assassin's Creed fanbase is a bunch of whiny, picky traditionalists who freak out as soon as something changes; That's pretty ironic seeing as how history itself is about change
@@Dienow3xw What? I love the games. Although I haven't played Odyssey, as I'm currently replaying Origins and its DLC before I play Odyssey. bass4usted oh yea, sry. But its only for the blunt weapons. You still cant buy axes in ac2. Also, in ac3, you can throw u'r blunt weapons at enemies, which can't be done in ac2
nah there are too much loose ends after AC3. i think Black Flag and Rogue were necessary to fix all little holes in the storyline. But after Rogue it should have ended.
The one thing that I mostly adore about this theme is how it perfectly represents the vibe of AC3. You can imagine how tragic and gritty the story was and this theme represents Connor's character and personality very well.
I think I know why people hate so much this one : because it came just after the Ezio saga, the one that practily everyone loved, and also because Connor is a lot less charismatic than Ezio, that's a fact. But personnaly I really enjoyed the story.
@Taylor AC Black Flag was great with the pirate setting and all, but AC2 will still be my favorite (probably biased bc it was my first). I loved the multiplayer cat and mouse type of gameplay when it came out with Brotherhood. What are your thoughts on the revamped AC, Origins and Odyssey?
Altair was born into the Assassins. He had knowledge and skill to be able to take control of the Apple. *He was destined for greatness.* Ezio was forced to become one, for vengeance at first. Then he began to live in honor of his father's memory and fought for the Brotherhood. *He had greatness thrust upon him* Edward only became an Assassin near the end of his journey in Black Flag to make amends for what he did. *He achieved greatness.* Connor CHOSE to become an Assassin. He wanted revenge but he could've found that himself. Instead, he chose to train, to learn and to fight against a threat much bigger than his revenge. He stood for what was right and he never changed. Connor isn't great, but he was the most righteous one of them all. He did grow in the game, but he STOOD HIS GROUND. Refused to have his beliefs changed for "the bigger picture". He fought for his people, for his family and for the greater good. He deserves more games so we could have seen him grow even more and see that his work wasn't just for nothing.
Ur description of connor is literally what i think of him except i didnt wanna type it. He is a pure assassin who was striving to bring back and restore the creed to its former righteousness and glory. Listening to this theme gives me that feeling. On top of that, he did most of this on his own.
Couldn't agree more on this. Connor is the only guy for which I cried for. He deserved much more but alas his ending was not a good one. In the end, all he was left with was loss. He couldn't save his own people. He was betrayed here and there. But he kept fighting for the greater good.
Unpopular opinion, but this is genuinely my favourite video game of all time, the assassinations the combat, the soundtrack, the story. Everything about it for me was just perfect
It was a disappointment. There was so much potential with what to do. (It's the American Revolution for fucks sake) The new gameplay is terrible compared to the old ones and Connor is not a fun protagonist. He is grumpy and uncharismatic (although there were moments where I liked him). We are forced to play as this Haytham twit for 3 whole sequences, nobody asked to play as Haytham! The modern day story was shoved down our throat, and Desmond became quite annoying. They continued the story when Desmond's death should've ended the franchise, but no. Now Juno is free and we need an explanation for what happens next. (The new games are a waste of space. In AC4 everything was fine, and it was 1 year after the first. In conclusion so much could've been done with this game. Instead it was a money stealing chore that we HAD to go through, it had lots of potential which was wasted, and Ubisoft just gave the middle finger. (Keep in mind this is my opinion, also there are things I enjoy)
duck films I feel that people were use to Ezio and don't realize why a Native American would be so serious when his tribe is being threaten to be destoryed
I think one of the best things about this game is the foreshadowing and subtleties there are to it. Like when haytham first arrives in boston we see him walk along the pier that connor chases lee across at the end, with the same climactic theme from the end chasr but more slower and less tense, forrshadowing that the story ends where it begun. On top of this the mirroring between the love/hate relationships between connor and his dad and desmond and his dad is also a clever way of linking the characters together and mirroring there family heritage. The story is so diverse and deep, its what makes this game a masterpiece.
This theme really matches up with the depressing details in connor's story, people may say connor and ezio had the saddest stories in AC and their themes synchs with their story but if you look carefully in the AC lore edward kenway's basically the most sadistic assassin's becuase litterally everyone related to him either died or betrayed him , his theme may symbolise his merry days within the golden age of pirates during the 1700s but his life was entailed with the loss of his loved ones, but yet he still doesn't waver to complete his objective , maybe that's the same detail about him that's in connor and haythem, they're both determined to complete their goals.
I think the best way to put it is that the Kenway bloodline was tragic. You had Edward who lived while nearly all his friends died. Edward while he did have a family for a small time was killed by the guy who wanted to court his daughter because he was a templar and after he died his daughter was sold into slavery. His son Haytham became the thing he opposed. His old friend Adewale was part of a corrupt brotherhood and died for it. and then his son died at the hand of his grandson, a grandson that he would arguably be proud of.
@@chrisg24601He would for sure be proud of Connor. Because he was able to take down the templars and raise a family just like his grandfather. Jesus the kenway bloodline is sad af
this is just as powerful as "Ezio's family" in my opinion. it reminds me of the struggles Connor had to go through, all the sacrifices and violence he witnessed during the revolution, yet he carries on...
Altaïr was a blank slate of an Assassin who gets reset for gameplay reasons above all. Ezio was a nobleman with everything taken from him who learns to look beyond revenge. Connor was a child with nothing besides a heritage, one that he was both proud and ashamed of. He was like a mirror of Ezio in some ways but his demeanor and naive nature was different enough to make him a favourite of mine. A genuine one man vs the world vibe about him.
In my opinion, this is the best theme among all AC. It perfectly represents Connor's painful and lone fight, struggle, no other AC themes managed to represent character with music this good.
This game is the reason why history is my favorite class.

People, hated this game??it's literally amazing
@@barles_charkley614 unfortunately yes. At the time when it was released, it got a hell lots of hate from fans because they said that Connor was not charismatic enough compared to Ezio plus he is kinda boring. But this game gets a lot of love now because at that time most of the fans were immature to understand the depths of ac3's story.
Connor is like the Batman of AC
Has emotions but only chooses to show them when appropriate. And is overall badass in combat
Exactly. This is for those people who think Connor is dull. Like how Vigil's bio reads in Siege, he suppresses his emotions.
I Am The Marble don’t forget owning an estate with a secret passage to a cave of sorts where he stores all his weapons and outfit
I Am The Marble connor is one of the best fighters in the creed for me, sheer brutality and power unmatched by any other assassin. An absolute beast in hand to hand combat and a deadly shot with a bow.
His emotions are all directed to Charles Lee
Even with his fist he can defeat a whole army
This game made me realize the Templars weren't necessarily evil. And I love that in a story. A story in which you can understand the antagonist's motives. Great game.
Yeah also my opinion. I like Haytham much more than Connor and his motives are more suitable for me^^
Assassin's Creed: Forsaken was great
The templars want the order and the power but not with the right way
Yanis Games
how do you describe the "right way"? IMO the People are not capable to live without rules and order. Maybe the templars are a bit too rude and brutal but after all, Humans want to be ruled
but the power templars gave people showed kinda how evil people really are.
thats why the templars needed to be stopped in every game. that concentrated power made every templar gone full mad and evil. while pure freedom what assassins search makes everyone same powerfull. that view is the only one why every assassin hunted templars down.
but not ezio. ezio just took revenge. its ezio u know
I like how everyone hated Conner when the game first came out
Now he's a fan favorite
He’s always been one of my favorite assassins cause the way he acts, his tomahawk, outfit, and his bond with Achilles.
@@triggeredravioli I liked unity from the beginning. In fact it is my favorite.

Ac II Ezio's family i said all
As a Native myself, it was really nice to see representation in a franchise that I loved dearly.

I want you to do more research. Templars may not be around now, but they definitely were in our reality.
For at my side walks hope, in the face of all that insist I turn back, I carry on, this ....this is my compromise”

Same here, he goes through quite a bit and pushed through the pain, defiantly inspirational. 😏

It introduced new gameplay mechanics, a very relatable character (who doesn't love Ezio and Altair, but you gotta admit they are a bit superhero-ish and too confident) who stood alone, and came to the point where another AC like 1 and 2 would've been labelled like CoD.
+joshua frazier The story was the best in AC 3.
Have you played the second game ?
The ending speech by Connor gives me goosebumps every time I hear it along with this theme
Assassin's creed is an educational game, and an entertaining experience!
Yeah, a big chunk of the Assassin's Creed fanbase is a bunch of whiny, picky traditionalists who freak out as soon as something changes; That's pretty ironic seeing as how history itself is about change
@@SlowWinterNuts if you don't like the games, don't come somewhere where ac lovers dwell.

What? I love the games. I've played every main series Assassin's Creed game (most of the earlier ones multiple times over even); I've played Liberation HD, Chronicles: China, a little bit of Pirates, read Forsaken, The Fall, The Chain, Brahmin, the 2015 comic series, Templars, Reflections, and Uprising.
Although I haven't played Odyssey, as I'm currently replaying Origins and its DLC before I play Odyssey.
I'm fucking nuts for the Assassin's Creed lore and stories, but unfortunately there's a lot of traditionalist nuts that freak out over changes, ruining the mood for a lot of deserved appreciation and excitement.
As Shawn Hastings once said: "History is the study of change, change is life. When things become static, it means they're dead."
@@Dienow3xw
Oof and I also forgot to mention that I've seen the Assassin's Creed movie as well. It was one of the only video game movies I genuinely liked and was interested in due to its contribution to the AC lore and its interconnectivity of AC's history, present, and future
This is one of THE best soundtracks in AC history! Who else agrees?

Connor always will be my #1 assassin and no one can change my mind. He had most interesting and amazing backstory, great goal and the way of achieving it, quotes, is an absolute badass and most importantly he is the protagonist of my favorite Assassin's Creed game ever! I respect this game to this day and it's still one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Big salute!

"The famous Assassin Connor Kenway assisted the patriots and took down the Templar Redcoats. He can also turn into a bird and fly around Boston, and there's also this thing called the Apple Of Eden. There's also an ancient race called the Precursors. And you know why the world didn't end it 2012? Because Desmond Miles saved the world sacrificing himself."

@@thelemonman8737 haha lol! Nah, I mean like the famous names and locations and the different timeperiods and such.
a story that's worth for making a movie for it
+Alex Xander i dont understand y people would call connor an idiot.....he single handedly took down the Templar reign in US (only for a short period of time ) . some of his choices were poor and his ethics were too olden. he matured a bit slowly compared to others. assholes who play this game dont understand that we were meant to go all angry and sympathetic on this character. connor was written that way. the writers nailed it as far as im concerned
***** yea ezio was the same..he was portrayed a bit smarter because he had atleast a little but of help. at the end both of them ended up becoming the conduits for desmond though so in the end they both are same
ubisoft make movie WITH every game they do so making a movie of a movie i don't get the idea.
+Ace102 Assassin's Creed Revelations is a good game for a movie too.
+Robert Chelmus I think AC Revelations would be the best for a movie.
Dont get why people dislike the game's story, it had such amazing moments, such that when his mother died, or when he was framed against his own tribe and had to kill one of the very few friends he had. What about when Achilles died?
+Taha Khan true and you can get cooler stuff
bass4usted
Yup, i believe its the first (and maybe the only ) ac game where you can buy blunt (clubs) and heavy(axes) weapons.
+Taha Khan true i have it
+Taha Khan oops wrong i think its ac2 first
bass4usted oh yea, sry.
But its only for the blunt weapons. You still cant buy axes in ac2. Also, in ac3, you can throw u'r blunt weapons at enemies, which can't be done in ac2
There's something very powerful about this particular score that gives me goosebumps. Anyone else get that feeling?

1 like = 1 salute for Connor
He was a great assassin, and fought for what was right. He deserved more games.

I can't wait for the remastered
Hes getting a remestered version of ac 3 :)
How bout a remastered 😂
HAYTHEM IS BETTER!!!!
This has a finale kind of feel to it.… should've been the end
nah there are too much loose ends after AC3. i think Black Flag and Rogue were necessary to fix all little holes in the storyline. But after Rogue it should have ended.
+RenegadeSamurai they should've cleared away the loose ends and ended the story
If you knew rogues ending, it was killing Arnos father, so unity would be the end game
+Mr Grade Empire should be the epic conclusion
+RenegadeSamurai When you think about it Unity and Syndicate can easily be ignored compared to everything from 1 to rogue
Oohoo this brings back memories from 2012
The one thing that I mostly adore about this theme is how it perfectly represents the vibe of AC3. You can imagine how tragic and gritty the story was and this theme represents Connor's character and personality very well.

CrAzY ScEnE GiRL 1133 so true
I think I know why people hate so much this one : because it came just after the Ezio saga, the one that practily everyone loved, and also because Connor is a lot less charismatic than Ezio, that's a fact. But personnaly I really enjoyed the story.
@Taylor AC Black Flag was great with the pirate setting and all, but AC2 will still be my favorite (probably biased bc it was my first). I loved the multiplayer cat and mouse type of gameplay when it came out with Brotherhood. What are your thoughts on the revamped AC, Origins and Odyssey?
@Taylor you playing on consoles or pc?
@Taylor in ac3 they brought ships and new equipment. We can use two swords and even gameplay was nice
Altair was born into the Assassins. He had knowledge and skill to be able to take control of the Apple. *He was destined for greatness.*
Ezio was forced to become one, for vengeance at first. Then he began to live in honor of his father's memory and fought for the Brotherhood. *He had greatness thrust upon him*
Edward only became an Assassin near the end of his journey in Black Flag to make amends for what he did. *He achieved greatness.*
Connor CHOSE to become an Assassin.
Altïar dude
That Tricky Trickster Connor definitely needs more respect
Ur description of connor is literally what i think of him except i didnt wanna type it. He is a pure assassin who was striving to bring back and restore the creed to its former righteousness and glory. Listening to this theme gives me that feeling. On top of that, he did most of this on his own.
Couldn't agree more on this. Connor is the only guy for which I cried for. He deserved much more but alas his ending was not a good one.
In the end, all he was left with was loss. He couldn't save his own people. He was betrayed here and there. But he kept fighting for the greater good.
please watch “What If Connor Kenway Was In Assassin’s Creed Unity”
though fanfiction, i dare myself to believe that this is canon. CANON.

I'M ACTUALLY CRYING DUDE THIS IS LITERALLY MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD.
I still don't get why people didn't like this game.
It was a disappointment. There was so much potential with what to do. (It's the American Revolution for fucks sake)
The new gameplay is terrible compared to the old ones and Connor is not a fun protagonist.
+duck films also we just came out of the Ezio trilogy, so there were big expectations

Lee: Why do you keep going?!
Connor: Because no one else will!
This game unironically got me into studying American History and I've never ever set foot on America.
The art direction in Assassins Creed games (especially the earlier ones) is absolutely incredible.

Coming back for that juicy N O S T A L G I A

By far my favorite Assassin's Creed. Connor was a great character. Though people may see him as too stoic, I think it fits well.
Takeo M yeah they could have improved his personality but his tomahawk skills trumped any other previous assassin
Assassin’s Creed III will always be my all time favourite. AC3 is what introduced me to Assassin’s Creed.
Oh god
@Zoinks Scoob nothing I never said somethings wrong
this is just as powerful as "Ezio's family" in my opinion. it reminds me of the struggles Connor had to go through, all the sacrifices and violence he witnessed during the revolution, yet he carries on...
This song is way more intense than Ezio's Family
The theme of Revelation is incredible too I think.
