Man these really were the prime days of AC. The hoodie. The hidden blade. The assassins were just straight gangster.
This was not the prime of AC. Revelations was garbage.
Brotherhood was a peak. Revelations lowered the bar.
Revelations had a good premise and proper hype, but it was a letdown in every way.

Revelations added awesome mechanics that made it a beautiful game: look at the astonishing detail on replicating Istanbul's architecture, the amazing HOOKBLADE! that shit was amazing and I wished that they kept it in AC4, specially with all that rope between sails, it would've made both raiding and exploring easier).
The story was shit, that's true... but it was affected to the cancelation of the 3DS game (which events are depicted in this trailer), ACR was supposed to tie every knot between that game and continue the modern day plot into AC3, buuut we got a rushed "prologue" that barely explains anything and it's definitely Ezio's more forgettable adventure.
Although, I had the AC embers short movie where we see Ezio's final days.
And c'mon man, with a trailer like this is very difficult to meet the expectations of hyped fans.
1:51 when Ezio sees Altair’s ghost gives me the chills and the soundtrack makes it even better😭

I love the details. They made Altair appear for a second then Ezio fighting for another second then he turns back. Exactly like a human reaction when you see something unexpected, you don't appear shocked or surprised at the same moment/second, your brain takes 1-2 seconds to realize. Also the way he turned back to make sure he saw him is epic, epicc
Randomly coming in 2023 can confirm this. Im not even an AC fan but this trailer is probably top 10 best trailers in the gaming industry without a doubt. I remember seeings this live at E3 at the time and just remembering the moment is what makes me come here every single time and that is alot considering I havent played any AC but I do acknowledge what this franchise was for the gaming world.

Let me tell you: words cannot describe the excitement I experienced when I first seen this trailer. The fact that Ezio and Altair were going to be in the same game literally hyped me up to the fullest extent. I love Assassins Creed and it's videos like this that remind of how epic video games used to be.
There are great games made today, and there were terrible games made back then too. AC fell off, that doesn't mean all games did.

It's funny seeing how, when Ezio decides to walk himself, EVERYONE draws their weapons on him. This dude is about to get hanged, he just lost one of his hidden blades, his hands are bound together, and they all draw their weapons on him. I guess that really does show how badass Ezio is.
Boss waits patiently, Ezio breaks free, all the royal guards pee themselves, main boss calls them off with his right hand, slow dramatic zoom-pan, doesn't faze the hooded man.

Ezio's story was by far the best and most fleshed out of them all. My fave of all the assassins.
Yeah, he's the only one that got 3 games and an epilogue story. He'sy favorite too, but if the other protagonists would have been given more than one game, they would be up there too. (Looking at Bayek)

There is a legend that says Saladin woke up to a dagger and note that read “be careful” if you are a fan of AC, you should research a bit. Because not only are the templars real, so are the assassins. The creed lives. ;)

Played Ezio Collection recently. Best out of 3.
My defense. This mf, *this GOAT,* was being hanged. Waited for the rope to be tight enough, wrangled his exacuter's neck with the same rope. The the best part which was cut out. He landed from basically 2 stories superhero style. They don't make Main Characters like this anymore.
What seals this for me is something that may be overlooked by most but to me exemplifies the thought put into this.
In the beginning when he gets shot by the arrow, he breaks it off instead of pulling it out. This is the most beneficial thing to do. The internal parts of the arrow are preventing blood loss and the moment its removed, he will start to bleed out and it wud need to be replaced by something to prevent bleeding.
This subtle detail seals this for me.
This proves ezio is indeed a master assassin with a great amount of knowledge! Not just a fighter.

The ledge scene was crazy. Altair spirit just walked with no emotion as Etzio is being pushed. That was a very powerful scene. Wow.

Still giving chills after 12 years..especially @1.51 when Ezio meets Altair, the background music for the scene hits differently in the head. For me it is the best trailer for a game till date..

TheDark 73 nah they don’t care about money, Ubisoft is a great developing team and if you think that they want money and rip people off then go to fucking EA games or Activision.
Ubisoft is simply running out of ideas, the franchise died long ago but Ubisoft wants to continue the idea of the assassins Creed so they created a whole new version of it (Origins & Odyssey) only because fat fucks decided to criticize Syndicate months before it even came out. So technically, it’s people who complain’s fault that Ubi changed their game. :)

I revisit this trailer once every couple years and it always conjures that feelings from when I watched it first. It’s nice when things from your past still live up to that feeling from your past memory.

The scene where Ezio sees Altair was one of the most powerful ones throughout this trilogy, probably the entire franchise, the strongest assassins meets the wisest, truly breathtaking, the game too was wonderful, the Ezio trilogy was a great ride.

Still in 2022 with the context of playing Assassin’s Creed from the beginning I’m still in awe at this trailer. Ezio was the definition of a Warrior Scholar, still my favorite video game character of all time. STILL. Ezio seeing his ancestor Altair with him on the battlefield still gives me chills.

1:16 is my absolute favorite. The way that Ezio fights is so fluid and precise. His focused stoic face shows just how experienced he is. Then he sees Altaïr and the chills continue. Ezio is my absolute favorite assassin, and this video is still the best trailer they've made imo.

I remember when this trailer came out and it gives me goosebumps to this day...especially the scene where Ezio sees Altair at the end of the trailer, Altair walks calmly as if he knows what he has to do (leap of faith) and Ezio, already old and tired, walks slowly and reluctantly, as if he has almost forgotten why he keeps fighting and doesn't have so much faith anymore.... man, the narrative of this trailer is a lesson in metaphors, music, visual narrative... the best video game trailer ever made.

i only played the first one and a bit of black flag and i like that in there is no sign that they will attack in the first one so you actually have to concentrate to counter

Funny is, you only need to counterattack once to start the chain of counterattacks. After a counterattack if attack again the character will automatically do the fatality on the closest enemy.

BTW the sixth sense seems to be able to allow its users to see spirits and souls, hence the confessions allowing you to see it differently sometimes, like when some walk away as they're dying. Pretty cool detail although probably unlikely to ever get explored.

2022, still the BEST Assassin's Creed trailer ever.
I still remember the first time I saw this. Sitting at an Internet kiosk in a shopping center that isn't there anymore and hasn't been for a long time. Ezio always seemed unkillable, if he failed it was due to some bullshit or hubris on his part but he didn't ever seem in danger. Then the hood gets pulled back and suddenly he's just a man.
Then this was just the start of the game.
