@@patrickyork3253 not necessarily, because what these people do is they make the song in a daw(digital audio workstation), like Logic, and then record a video of themselves playing for the video, and if they decide to change something about the song as they’re recording it, they can edit the track and make the changes that they want, like speeding it up/slowing it down, moving it up/down an octave, changing what notes are played, etc
The X series has such awesome music! I like how each of the first three has its own distinct sound while remaining consistent, in my opinion. X giving the heavy metal vibe, X2 goes more electronic, and X3 having a grunge tone almost like a Genesis game. Keep on rocking!

X1 has one of the best soundtracks in gaming history and this certainly does it justice.

You should listen to Flame Stag by Metalltool on youtube. Turns X2 music into like thrash metal, but with the synths too.
