There is the tempo on one side and the musical ear on the other. There are those who will follow the tempo at 100% and those who will follow the musical ear rather at 100%. However, the nintendo music was under strict tempo by "convenience" (and rigor) of sampling. This "100%" does not work every time, and it shows in the harmonics of these music. So, it would rather be a mix of 90% tempo and 10% musical ear. This phenomenon is found in Megaman II but also in Final Fantasy IV. If you want to improve your performances on this kind of music ... make a distinction between what is the "strict" tempo notes and the notes being of the margin of interpretation of the musician (> variation temporality indecibly).

This, Contra, and Mega Man 3 kicked off my love of music in games. I remember talking about it in second grade and having no other kids seem to care abo the music. It’s nice to see it’s grown into a whole thing

I always play metal man stage first and doing Quickman first threw me off. That's one of the last stages I do.
The ending theme hits so much harder after completing all the megaman zero 4.
