A good balance between Hadith and Fiqh books of Sh Fawzan seem quiet digestable:
    1. Al-Mulakhas Al-Fiqhi
    2. Sharh Akhsar Al-Mukhtasaraat
    3. Sharh Zaad Al-Mustaqni
    4. Sharh Buloogh Maraam
P.s : Those who say that studying Madhab Fiqh it breeds fanatism the same can be applied non Mahdab based fiqh where a person gets very fanatic towards the positions of Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. And plus comparative Fiqh isn't just studying different fiqh positions but also different comparative usool fiqh is included also as the Madhaahib of Madhabs of Usool as they are Madhab of Furoo

In UK 9 times out of 10 people doing little fiqh classes are either madhabists or takfiris. You are right that Madina grads/Salafis are only teaching fiqh now. But what I draw benefit from is المحقق Mohammed Subhi Hallaqs رحمه الله biography.

Im a shia but i like listening to you. I disagree with you on certain things like the opinion you hold about Shias not being muslim because thats not true, and I understand your reasoning maybe, its because that certain Shias call upon the Prophets and the Sahabas and others curse the Sahabas, you need to understand not all of us agree with Tawwasul in the same sense as many Shias and Barelvi/sufis do. Many of us do not curse anyone, however we do hold the position that certain individuals which you may claim to be sahaba are not valid candidates also the sins and oppressive acts committed by them must be brought to Light through historical evidences. I understand there are many groups within the Shia community many are not really ‘islamic’ like the ones who call upon Prophets and Sahaba. By definition a Shia is any muslim who takes the position Ali a.s was the Rightful caliph after the Prophets death, now this shia muslim may even entirely use rulings from the Sunni Schools of Law (fiqh) regarding outward worldly affairs such as Marriage,Divorce, punishment and so forth but by definition he is still Shia as he holds the position Ali a.s was the rightful caliph. So please make this correction, instead of saying that point blank Shias not muslim rather say that Shias that call upon the prophets and sahabas and pray to graves are not muslim. Don’t label all the people who claim to be Shia as the same.

I understand it was originally a political position but obviously that has branched into more extreme versions. It is these extremist branches that tend to be the loudest and without intradialogue with Sunnis they will mistakenly be seen as representing all Shias.
Question: what are the criteria used by Shias to determine Sahabi status?

The Prophet said that whoever curses and insults the Sahaabah are not from me.

Rema Khatun Correct. But those who run from the battlefield are not Sahabas.

Rema Khatun we don’t take Abu Bakr, Omar to be Sahaba, no offence but if we did then we would of loved them as well.
