THe student of knowledge should begin with Tawheed and study aquidah for at least three months and then go on to reading Quran thoroughly for the first year with corresponding correct corresponding hadeeth. Fiqh should come after that. This is the way of the sunnah to safeguard against confusion. And there is no doubt that we need new fiqh. I asked the law to place you in the vanguard of this in America as you have deep perception about this society, and an interesting and concise delivery.
