- If you take the opportunity to check out the voice & artistry of the forever young Patricia Janecková, then you will be the richer for it. Her rendition of this particular composition is what caused me to first take notice of this lovely melody. It seems that music with this sort of slow, expressive beauty is often mistaken for being sad. Although it can be understood as full of emotion & a sense of longing, I am left predominantly with a feeling of calm & wonder, that such expressive beauty can exist within the realm of music. More importantly, each person, if they so choose, can find their own universe of experience & humanity here, within this lovely gem of a piece. Composed by the esteemed J. Stoklosa.

You play so beautifully Forest and find notes on the bass most of us don't know even exist.
I'm looking forward to checking out more of Soklosa's writing, based upon this artfully crafted little gem.
Thanks for the kind words.
Nádherné :-)

Absolutely beautiful!
Hey thanks, Mark. It's quite a lovely bit of writing, & such a beautifully crafted melody. I probably should have taken a few less liberties with it... as a line like that does not require any additional "improvements." No ornamentation required!
Wow!!!! Sooo pretty thank you!
I love the writing in this piece. Such a lovely melody. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it, & thank you for those kind words!
Beautiful!
Thanks Bill. It's a lovely composition. It was a pleasure discovering what I could accomplish with just my bass & a looper to cover the accompaniment part. It's precisely the sort of music that really grabs me, so it's rewarding when I can figure out a way to represent it reasonably well with only what I have at my disposal. I'd go so far as to say it's therapeutic!
This was beautiful!
Thanks Hill. I appreciate the kind words & I'm glad that you enjoyed it.Enjoy the day... & tomorrow too, while you're at it!!
