Hi there! There are many paths you can take to become a network engineer / admin. For folks starting out, I usually point them towards CompTIA Network+. This prep course gives basic knowledge on networking, subnetting, ports, protocols, and other important details a network engineer should know. You can also learn the Cisco route and aim for the CCNA certification. You can learn Juniper devices, Aruba devices. There's virtualization and you can aim for VMWare Certified Technical Associates certifications. Once you find your passion, you can choose a path that you desire. :)
