I had cataract surgery on Dec 16th, 2022. I watched all your series on cataract and I wanted to say they are very informative and very well explained. Thank you for taking the time to create these videos. Very appreciated!

Doctor, I am a sixty-one year old primary care physician based in Calcutta, India. Myopic with Grade 1-2 cataract in RE (corrected visual acuity 6/9) and very early cataract in LE (6/6). No comorbidities, healthy macula and retina, normal IOP, PVD (with Weiss ring) in both eyes with lots of floaters since past three years. Can read the smallest print up close unaided and no night-time haloes, glare or perceptible loss of contrast or colour in my binocular vision till now.
Terrified of things going wrong (doctors make the worst patients) after doing my own bit of online research -- PCR, anterior vitreous prolapse, retained vitreous, nucleus loss into vitreous, cystoid macular edema, IFIS (I was on alfuzosin for 3 months a year ago), pigment glaucoma, endophthalmitis & blindness, negative dysphotopsia -- you name it.
My question: SHOULD I STOP WORRYING AND GO RIGHT AHEAD with the surgery on my RE now or can I wait some more? How long is too long (cataract becoming denser, making the phaco procedure trickier for the surgeon)?
Shall appreciate a response. Thanks and warm regards.

Wait and watch. Always have a good mental preparation before you decide on surgery.

Doctor still if you can brief of long term precautions after IOL implant after 6 months. Like can I go to the gym , lift weight. Can i bend , can i splash water on my eyes after waking up, what if i fall can IOL be displaced . Can steam from any hot beverage affect my eyes. Can I lift heavy baggage while travelling. Can I trek. These basic questions plus people may have a lot such questions to ask.

You are free to do all of the above provided you take all the precautions you took before having an IOL implanted in the eye. Just like any normal person would.
