This new mod for the GameCube adds new features to your GameCube console.
4 Player Low Latency Bluetooth Controller support
Use PS4/5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, 8BitDo controllers and more.
Remote Power Down, enabling you to shut off the console from your controller.
Per Game Controller mappings with the web config portal
Light Up controller ports
Best of all its a no solder install, if you can use a screwdriver you can install this mod in minuets.
Firmware updates are supported via Bluetooth with this mod, more features may be added as time goes on.
It sounded like you said Nintenna instead of antenna. Definitely catchy.
Just got mine in today, Ill try to get it in tonight. If not tomorrow. I cant wait!
Just received and installed mine
Works wonderfully! Thank you so much for this amazing addition.
Even a battery holder for clock battery replacement, you thought of everything
For those doing the Noiseblocker fan upgrade (I got it from Laser Bear as well) and using the V3 board.. you can remove the pigtail from the OEM fan and connect it to a wired SMD 5050 UV led and plug it into the open port left by Laser Bears movement of the fan connection to the V3 board as shown. The LED will remain on in the pseudo standby but hey, it's a super easy way to power the LED without soldering on the power supply board!!
Thanks Greg! Got my kit today and it works flawlessly. I always get quality products from laser bear (and gummi bears)!
This mod is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Got it in the mail yesterday and it works flawlessly. I dream of being able of taking a GameCube to my friends house with nothing but a power cord and was able to do that yesterday.
Makes the GameCube feel brand new/modern.
Good guide here. I can't wait to get mine.
I just bought one, it should be arriving this week, i'm so exited for this!! 😋
Just got done installing this!
I’ll be using it very very soon! Thank you!
Just a note to everybody who just got their version three. It does not have an antenna port and therefore does not come with the antenna board. It seems pretty obvious based on the design of the new chip, but some people might get thrown off at first.
6:45 Run my Nintenna :) nice! Thanks for the video, very helpful!
The next year I buy it.
Very nice to instal.
This helped a lot! Thank you so much for this video!
I just preordered mine today!
Ohh I can't wait for mine to come in!
Thanks dude! I'm excited to receive mine!
Can’t wait to get mine from USPS! Are you able to assign any color to the power led? Mine is going into a custom color and the blue led I keep seeing won’t match that well with my color scheme
I'd love this feature. I'm good with the blue, but having this option would be great.
I ordered mine two months ago during the first batch I’m hoping mine will arrive before Christmas (:

@@TheSanctionStudios I should update this guide, it really is the only major change since the original release. The new ports allow enough space for the larger module that has an antenna built in to fit on the PCB.
@@LaserBearIndustriesPlease do
Haha, I also use that same screwdriver that came with my Prusa. It's not bad!
Received mine last week and am waiting for Christmas to gift it to my son for his GC that we modded. Can’t wait!!! Have a question due to the fact I know there are compatibility issues outside of the Switch ecosystem. Will this work with the official Nintendo Switch version of the wireless GC controller?
I got a replacement fan that has a longer cord, its a pain in the ass to close the console back up with all these extra cords lol
Thank you for the video, was simple and easy to instal, do you sell the Laser Bear GameCube jewels because I would love one of those, thank you
I noticed an oddity with the new controller ports. It's really strange, but the Action Replay will boot to a black screen with this installed. Once you get a black screen, hit reset and then the Action Replay comes up as normal, but the D-pad does not work at all in the menu (it does with the stock ports). The analog stick fortunately works, but seems to drift upward (not the controller). It's not a massive deal, just a minor inconvenience, since I only use it to launch Swiss. Once in Swiss or an actual game, the controller works normally. I absolutely require Swiss to play about 50% of my games (not pirated - they are either other region games, or games that do not support progressive scan out of the box, and my display looks terrible without progressive scan on, using a Carby adapter).
Interesting, I will relay this to DarthCloud it may be with how the board sets the relay pin at boot. The drift and dpad stuff is also weird, also make sure you update Swiss, there is a bug that makes games run slow with this mod
@@LaserBearIndustries Ah...yes I updated Swiss, and it seems to be working fine. It's just getting the action replay itself to boot up that is weird. But just having to hit the reset button isn't a big deal and I can deal with it. The oddity only happens in the Action Replay menu itself (and that disk is known for being a little dodgey because it uses a weird hack to get past the Gamecube's security). Once I'm actually in Swiss everything is fine, controller and all. Just thought I'd report it.
has anyone has same issue when updating the blueretro ota firmware you get a msg saying ''Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading '0') (Your browser may not support this feature.)'' if so how can i resolve this?
Installed mine and the fan is running louder than normal? Should I get a better fan? Or is this to be expected?
Got mine installed and synced up to my Switch Pro controller. I got a quick question. Why is the button layout wrong??? My B button is acting like the A button and the Y button is acting like the B button. This is Nintendo to Nintendo the buttons sholud match up. Is there a way to change the layout without a computer so it is right?
Just got mine, great guide. Unfortunately couldn't remove my fan connector, it was didn't want to come out :( Luckily, I'm able to leave it be
Does it support the use of gba link cable?
Has anyone else had a problem with the Bluetooth randomly disconnecting while in game? Also port one doesn’t seem to work well with OEM GameCube controllers.
What controller are you using? Also if wired controllers are having issues please contact us on our website I have a fix that should help out.
So mine came with a battery pre installed
Thanks!
I just got mine in the mail and installed it. But I've run in to a snag that is starting to irritate me. While every feature of the mod works fine as it should, for some reason every time I turn on the console I have to constantly reset the date and time of the console (it pops out a red message box stating that the system settings have been lost) and on a few occasions when I am on the process on putting the date and time it'll show up another red message box to turn off the console due to an error. I am not sure if there is a way to fix this issue unless it is the battery or hopefully not the case a defective copy. Anyone had this issue?
Im seeing a similar issue where I have to set the date time... did you ever find a solution?
@@MarkFletcher2001 you need a new clock battery
it is the battery
I have mine since a few weeks now. Just one issue I cannot solve:
If I use a raphnet adapter (GC2N64), the controller doesn't work (everything with wires, so no use of BT feature).
On a normal GC, it works perfectly fine.
Any suggestions, how to fix this?
Send me an email, it may have to do with the 3.3v sag that happens with the current sensing circuit. I have a fix that should make everything work as expected.
@@LaserBearIndustries Sent to support email. Thanks for your fast reply!
Set one of these up last week, but haven't been able to get any of the macros to work to put the cube to sleep etc. any ideas what the issue might be?
Which controller are you using? I'll get you a direct combo for it
@@LaserBearIndustries I've tried Exlene Gamecube Controller and Switch Pro Controller. Also tried with a OEM Controller plugged in.
@@mikejenkinsish wired controllers are not supported for macros yet, but the others should be fine.
The switch pro is
ZL+ZR+Plus+B firmware should be current
The Exlene was just added to firmware 1.8.2 and needs to be paired in X-Input hold Y+Home when powering up the controller.
It's combo is L+R+B+Plus
I've run all the wires, but with them in place, the top will not physically go back on the case. It almost feels like something is blocking the left side from going down all the way (so power and reset switches are not making contact). I can't see anything that's getting in the way, there are no wires where there shouldn't be. This install has already taken me 2 hours (30 minutes of that were just getting the antenna plugged in).
EDIT: I got it, I guess I was being too gentle and not tightening the screws enough. It was definitely not wires blocking things.
I am sorry for the troubles, could you send me a picture in a reply to your order email? I can take a look and see if I can help you get things to sit out of the way.
@@LaserBearIndustries It's not a problem, I got it. I don't think it was the wires at all. I think it was just the case itself being stubborn.
Thanks for the install video! Is there any downside to the fan not running while the in standby mode? Is there a possibility of a component overheating while it's in standby mode with no fan running?
The blue Retro side is in a low power state so it does create some heat, but not enough heat to be a problem. The main downside of the fan always being on is the fan will be more likely to wear out since it will be always on. Unless you use the power switch.
i got my bluetooth mod and installed it following your guide but when i turn on the console. the led is blue and then just goes off. and the console doesnt boot up or anything. Any suggestions before i return it and get a refund?
Once the LEDs stop flashing press the reset button, it may have gotten bumped in shipping and the relay is in the off state for the remote power down functionality
I'll add: if you futzed with the reset button during install, you might have put it in this state, too.
PSA: If you’re playing any GameCube game with BlueRetro Board with 2 or 3 Wired or 2.4GHz Wireless Controllers and 1 or 2 Bluetooth Controllers. For some reason. Your GameCube randomly shut off. You power back on and nothing happens!
Don’t worry! You did not brick your GameCube! You just need to hit Reset button and your GameCube is back to normal!
Is this Wii compatible?
Anyone know if the powera gamecube controllers work?.
It is compatible, but has digital triggers so some games lose their trigger functionality unfortunately.
There is also currently a bug with switch controllers that makes it difficult to keep more than one Switch controller paired at the same time.
If you are looking for more than one GameCube style controller you may be better off with the EXLENE GameCube controller, it supports X-Input mode which will allow for more to be connected, but like the PowerA it has digital triggers unfortunately.
Works with wii u pro controller?
Yes the Wii U controller is supported.
Its nice to hear bro, just got mine today on your website, and now waiting for it to be shipped to my country
Your video and the clean installation of this mod is also really simple, i will show it to the guy who usually do the retro modstuff on my GC, specially the part related with the contact for Game Boy cable adapter.
Thank you a lot, from Brazil!
@@LaserBearIndustries
Anyone know if this is wii compatible?
It is not, the Wii does not have a removable board for the controller ports
When will these start to ship out?
They will begin shipping on Friday Dec 2nd, we have a confirmed delivery on Thursday to our shop, and we will begin programming and testing. My whole team will be working the weekend to get them out as soon as possible. It will take about a week to ship the whole batch.
When is round 1 shipping
Should start on Friday. Boards will be at our office on Thursday
I’ve just installed mine but I can’t get anything to connect. Is there a trick to it or I’m I just dumb? I can’t find anything on how to troubleshoot if no controllers are connecting. I’ve tried ps3, ps4 Xbox one and 360.
Is the led pulsing red to purple? Or is the main system LED turned off?
@@LaserBearIndustries the led is flashing purple and red. And the first port is flashing blue
I have picoboot installed if that matters
@@tylerbrown8357 the antenna connector is fully seated onto the board? If it still isn't working reply to your order email or shipping email, we can continue to troubleshoot and possibly replace the board if it's faulty.
Thx a ton! The online guide wasn't helpful at all. Got confused
