      Seems that he basically disconnect + positive side of batt and connect the multi meter on AMPERAGE mode. I.did all troubleshooting with fuses, and now I have to do it with the modules. With engine off Unplug + positive side of alternator and check current draw, many times alternator leaks your batt due a bad diode (rectifiers inside alternator). Cheers

    So what is my the problem? Lol Cuz right now my 06 530i E60 is having an issue with battery drain. And I've haven't had a problem in 90,000 miles and everything works great on this car except now the battery. The only lights are on or the typical passenger restraint system airbag light. Other than that I have a hundred eighty-six thousand miles on the car. I haven't had an issue till just now. And I'm having something that's killing my battery
    I mean killing the battery all the way down to 2.6v. I disconnected the IBS. And now I have it on a battery tender charge /maintain.. this just happened after I change the battery. I just connected to IBS just now. Just to see if I can get a charge back up to 14.5V. where's you have any suggestions be greatly appreciated!

      Gregg you need to find the drain issue. Could be anything actually but start by removing fuses and check with multimeter if drain went awau

    I have a F82 2015 BMW M4 that uses a lithium ion battery. Every time I start the car I get “increased battery discharge” I contacted my local BMW dealer and some tuner shops and they all tried to charge me $1900+ for the new lithium ion battery. That is just crazy stupid... I am wondering if I can put in a normal battery that matches all the specs to my oem battery in the car. Please help me out

      To be honest I don't think you can. Your car uses that battery because of all the tech on your car (extra ECU etc) so probably uses more battery power just to turn the crank.

      Yes you can install regular AGM battery, you’ll need custom programming of the FEM module

    How the hell does your tester continue to work when it exceeds 10 amps? :O

    • @Logic7repair
      @Logic7repair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It simply shows when it’s lower than this, but if you have a drain of >10A you don’t need a tester obviously since it’ll be hot somewhere with this high current 🧐. Hell or heaven has nothing to do with it
