FX King .22 FAC Summer Evening Pest Control 2

- Hi every one, here in the UK Crows and Magpies can cause devastating damage to the ground nesting birds we have on our moors for example Curlews, lapwings meadow pipits and many many more, they also predate on the song bird population ,also around lambing time the crows will peck out the eyes of the new born lambs while they are vulnerable just after birth and even at times while the Ewe is giving birth crows will peck out the eyes and tongues of a lamb, so as a pest controller our laws let us control them all year round, here i am using a 223 rifle as the crows and magpies can wise up avoiding traps and keeping out of range of air rifles and shotguns at times. Any disbelievers please feel free to google and see the damage for your self. cheers.

Just made my Sunday. Lunch. Couple of beers and a new post from my favourite hunter Thanks Simon
Thank you David.
Well & expertly done, Simon! Appreciate your detailed commentary. Dave in USA
Thank you Dave
Some very good sniper shots Simon, I'm having a go at loads of Jackdaws, on my farm permission, there's hundreds of them, so I've got my work cut out 🤓
Nice one John good luck mate.
You've got me out and about again, thank you and for showing us how it should be done properly, I keep watching till the end to see if a new mate appears, cheers
Thanks Paul funny you mention a new mate as tonight you will see me befriend a Kestrel 👌
Thanks for taking us along on another trip to the farm. Cheers from Texas.
My pleasure David and thanks
Can't deny I've been holding off watching this vid to kick the weekend off with and the wait was worth every minute, hour and day. Flippin brilliant vid, ticked all the boxes for me, thank you so much. Have a cracking weekend mate.
Thank you Geoff really really appreciated pal i have another coming on tonight and i think it should be a good one especially at the end
Awesome video. As for Magpies, the last few years we've had a 50 magpies altogether (a parliament I think it's called)
Brilliant pal the only way
Some cracking footage again there Simon keep it going
Thanks Nigel.
Yet another first class video Simon...A nice mixed bag of vermin...As soon as I see you have a video up I click like straight away...Because there all excellent...Stay Safe ....
Thank you my friend.
Great shooting, Simon. Not done much garden pest control, although my neighbour has a couple of rats. Lent them my live trap, as she doesn't want me to shoot them. Don't know what they expect to do with a trapped rat. Anyhow, she brought my trap back because they only caught a hedgehog. Probably one of my resident hoggies. Big Steve, E. Yorks.
Nice one mate
I never get sick of seeing you shoot anything Simon. You're an excellent shot, you film it very well, and it is always enjoyable to watch no matter what it is.
Thanks Ridin much appreciated pal.
Nice one Simon 👍🏴
Cheers Phil.
Another top quality video, keep them coming.
ATB from Ken in Shrewsbury
Thank you Ken
Ay up Simon you love rubbing it in lol 😂 just like that re-tune from full power to just above legal so you can have a go love it. There’s lots of family groups starting to gather round me not much Larsen work done in the spring so there’s a lot got hatches off. Brilliant mate keep em coming and keep knocking them down 👍 At gun shop in the morning 🙄🤔
Thank you Peter i sure will as long as i can.
You are a man for all seasons Simon.Good video again.
Thanks John👍
It looks like you got a couple of daylight bandits (rats) and several pesty birds. Another greeting from Texas
Cheers mate same to you.
Hi Simon thanks for a really good video using a superb fx king rifle.👍
Thanks Alan 👍
Nice few hours out Simon👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
Thank you Alan.
there is now also a "monster" version of the .22 Hades coming in at 25,39gr, haven't tried them yet, great video as usual
Ye Colin i hear about these and probably are good depending where you use them i suppose as around the farm buildings i always try to lower the power to be fair.
Dropping um like flies as we say in wigan, cracking shots Simon, that 2nd Maggie was a great shot, i reckon a split second longer and it would have took flight. Good work as usual Simon and keep the videos coming 👍
Thank you my friend.
Another awesome post sniper Si,love that rifle and nothing stands a chance with you behind it!!😂😂
Thanks Ste
Good stuff Simon, shows you don’t always need lots of power , 16-20 ft/lb is good for a lot pest control situations.
The king is a cracking gun. 👍
Too right pal, i have my Rapid back out at the moment doing 20 ftlb and its just brilliant.
😎👍
Big thumbs up for the channel...
Another great video...
Thank you! Cheers!
I'll never get sick of watching your videos mate keep em coming 👍👏👏👏
Thank you Kevin.
Thanks Simon. Great job as always.
Glad you enjoyed it
I just finished my Sunday tea and switched-on TH-cam. Great video to watch with a Cuppa. Keep-up the good work, controlling Pest-species.
But I cannot believe that some viewers still need the reasons why, spelling-out to them.
Ye pal its no probs just the world we live in i suppose.
Another great video Simon, great skill👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice to see the pick up at the end this time.
Thanks Andrew
Brilliant Si, just getting into my own permissions last week or 2. Cant beat it 👍
Brilliant good luck 👌
Our favourite Hunter, thanks Simon!
Thanks Bobby.
Great pest control as always simon 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
A good outing, enjoyed it.
Thanks 👍
You always post great videos and seem to never get a break from major windage adjustments. I use to do contract work shooting, mice, rats, raccoons, opossum, coyotes, bobcats and mountain lions. Still shoot but don’t do contract work and thanks for the videos!
Thank you my friend.
Cheers pal.
LOL…that FX King is definitely ready for a rub down Simon. Smashing shots!! Best from Oklahoma - Charlie
Lol cheers pal.
Simon sez! Yeah, luv it.
👌🙂
That picture of the dozen plus magpies sitting on the same spot is incredible... good to do some number control.
Cheers Simon
Ye 100% pal
I got to hold an FX King yesterday, WOW. I'd called into my favourite gun shop to get a bag for my Wolverine R. They couldn't believe I've had it three weeks now and I haven't had a chance to shoot it; the tag is still on it. Anyway, the chap with the FX King, congratulated me on having a fine rifle and he said he'd like to shoot it. The Forrester stock colouration is very similar to the FX. Thanks for another great video, Simon.
Cheers pal ye a cracking rifle for sure
As a retired master law enforcement firearms instructor, you are truly gifted and with your equipment you could teach your skills with the great approach to shooting along with the narrative of trigger and sight control! I always enjoy your approach to solving the accuracy of the end results, Stay Safe!
Thank you Peter really appreciated my friend.
Great upload, Keep them coming mate. 👍
Thanks, will do!
Holy smokes that's a lot of them, like the toon army lol. I like how careful you are not to take one if there's any background danger. Cheers
Ye cheers John the only way to be pal.
@@simon6ppc246 Side note for the algorithm Simon - I used to bench rest 6mm WSSM. I'd load my own vis Quickload. I got a Tikka .243 and the MOA was nearly the same. Cheers
Nice video again simon! Always learn from your videos👌👍
Thanks Jan.
If only you had a chance at some sort of fish as well, and you could have had a vermin McNab - a Jackdaw, a Rat and a (whatever the fish would be). 😁😁
Great shots on the Jackdaws - head shots at those ranges show a certain amount of skill - 😁😁
Thank you Richard i suppose its not as easy as it looks.
We never get tired of seeing your work. We don't have rodents in our barn cuz all the snakes ate them. I envy the way you can get around amongst all that hay and not worry about the world's three most venomous reptiles. 🇦🇺👍🍺
Lol luckily i don't come across snakes in that barn pal..
Cracking job today 👍👍
Cheers pal.

Thank you.
Thanks Simon another good session. 👍

Good job as always mate , i like that u show the odd miss , we all miss at times , if we didnt it be too boring ....
Well ye 100% pal.
No pests need to be controlled Simon like way that magpie used its heed to stop that pellet hate magpies
They sure do.
Great video work Simon always enjoyable. You are definitely a surgeon with the FX King. With that many magpies around there it sure is a problem for the nesting birds I'm pretty sure that you will get that problem sorted out. Cheers brother
Ye cheers Donald hopefully i will pal.
Top shooting pal yes never going to see song birds with thay amount of mag's about
Yep your 100% right
100% pal
Well done Simon 👏 see 👀 you on the next one 🤙
Cheers Davey.
Another brilliant video Simon, that FX King is a cracking rifle.

Great shooting Si, unlike your football predictions. Have you ever won the Pools? Thought not! 😂
😂
Top job mate 🔥 👏
Thanks Richard.
Cracking shots Simon, wish we also could drop magpies 🤷♂
Ye bad news Bert are you down Wales or abroad.
@@simon6ppc246 Hi mate, no I am from the Netherlands...no magpie shooting allowed 🤷♂
Nice pest control...
Cheers Steve
Nice one Simon. even the football was a result for you guys,
Ye we just about in as yet Gary lol
@@simon6ppc246 🏴 we came home early 👍
Not sick Simon, always good to see your skills and safe shooting.
We used to see farmers round here trapping magpies.
Cheers pal.
Nice king classic
Cheers mate
All good fun 👍 nice bag.
Thanks Tony.
Great work as usual mate, the FX Dynamic block certainly is a versatile unit, I have a couple of lower pellet settings with mine for work around the farms but it really shines on full power with Zan 25.5gr slugs........when I do my part that is! ;)
Ye they are brilliant pal i just love that King in fact my Rapid has got jealous of it i think lol.
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Excelente disparos y muy buen control de plagas y el FX king espectacular 👊👊👏👏👌👌👍👍🧉🇦🇷 saludos
Thank you
very nice pest control
Thanks Dave.
Quality hovis kid
Cheers Bobby
Morning Simon
I bid you a nice morning John
@@simon6ppc246 thank you young sir, I hope all is well with you and yours
Simon, where you shoot from doesn't bother me at all. Watching you get rid of these pests and seeing how accurate you are is what I look for. Plus you seem like a person I would like as a friend.
Thank you very much North chap 👍much appreciated.
Thanks for the video Simon, I had to watch before I go out tonight on the rabbits couldn't wait lol. Magpies☹☹ back garden's inundated with them, nine at a count. Not seen a thrush in 3 years and low numbers of other song birds, I wonder why.
Ye they are bad new pal and you know its actually illegal to shoot them in your garden un less you have say lambs or ground nesting birds in there, and thanks 👌
@@simon6ppc246 Yep good old gl 40
love seeing them maggies getting it bravo
Ye me to pal.
Very good
Thanks
It might be lower power but still killed like bolt of lightning. Would mounting the decoy on a spring , so the wind shake the decoy. Making it move🤔
Ye cheers pal and decoys seem to work on the day i have found.
cracking shot on second maggie,
Thank you Tony
Hi Simon! Great vid as always..
Do you find the FX King to be significantly better than their Panthera/Impact or Maverick? I was all for getting one of their rifles when I wanted to 'upgrade' from my (actually quite trusty) Air Arms range, but once I did some detailed research their reliability and real-world accuracy put me off and I went with a Steyr and an Anschutz instead; fantastic guns, both of them, but both 0.177 and single-loaders, not great for follow up or rapid shooting in gloom! So I'm back to my HW100 in .22, but reconsidering the King...
Any thoughts appreciated! 👍🏻
The King is the first FX i have ever owned pal to be fair, but honestly what a rifle it just shoots so well at high and low power i just can't really fault it apart from you can double load it. Not cheap but so glad i got one is all i can say really.
Hi Simon,
Thank you for another great video to watch. May I ask, please, Simon? Do you find a large bottle on your air rifle awkward?
I put a large bottle on my R12, though I went back to the lighter steel cylinder as I found it more manageable.
Thank you, Ian.
To be fair Ian its not to bad if i be honest as the King is quite a hefty rifle any way..
i'm from sunderland, hate the maggies as well...
Ye Paul they can be bad news mate
@@simon6ppc246 you missed the football reference, our arch enemies, newcastle, the magpies...
When you alter the power do you have to alter the aim point ? Cracking video again 👍👍
@@drmoss_ca I don't know hence the question, never used a variable power air rifle.
Ye i do Archie i usually have to just higher the zero pal as its going slower
Another good few hours controlling the pest, what are the Hades like at higher power levels?
I have sent them around 970 ftps Gerry and to be fair they shot well but obviously below 900 they are at their best.
Just realised you must be left eye dominant but shoot right shoulder
Ye kind of Cecil but i can use both to be fair
👍👍👍
Thanks Big Mac
@@simon6ppc246 When I look more closely at 12:50, I see larger black and white targets 🤔!
Thanks for video Simon.
Did you buy your new Air Arms pro sport?
It should be here this week Stephen so hope fully i will be using it any day.
Magpie are in decline,so they are not on the list in Wales lol
Ye so i hear Richard.
#Simon6ppc How have you found the tuning system? I'm used to the Widlcat fac but waiting for a new King.
Its brilliant Antony as the reg is now i can turn it down to 16 ftlb and if i alter the wheel up to 56 ftlb with a slug.
Nice video Simon. The scope you are using, do you use both eyes?
I do and i don't to be fair pal
great video, what kind of camera do you use?
Panasonic HCV 380 pal.
Bonjour en France on utilise des cages trappes pour les pies c’est très efficace mais peut-être est ce interdit chez vous bonne vidéo en tout cas merci
Thanks Michelle we also use them here and they do work well.
Hi Simon, noticed your using the Fx king but I think you've used before with a Hikmicro Alpex 4k LRF, any particular reason why you've changed scope Rgds M
Ye its back on my Wolverine R now for rats with it being 12ftlb Mark more farm friendly
Ok hanks for getting back Simon 👍
@ 5:01 was that the “cow” alarm going off?
Lol that young bull always does that when ever i speak its quite funny to be fair lol
@@simon6ppc246 🤣
Did you buy the air rifle then get it FAC or buy it FAC?
I bought it FAC Marc
🙂
Thank you.
👍👍🇮🇪
👌
What happened to your gun?
It was only sawdust been blowing about lol but its back to normal now
