I'm glad you found it helpful! If it's already taken by someone else, then they've already brand registered it on Amazon. You'll get a warning when you're adding your product that you can't use it without approval
Great content so far thank you so much! Question: what happens if you only have 1 product so far and all it has is your logo. The brand-name is not on the product, only the brand logo (i.e. just the apple logo without saying the words "Apple" anywhere on the product), in your opinion, would that fail the requirements Amazon has?

Hello, I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I assume you’re selling all of your POD products under your own brand/label. So get brand approval for your brand and you’ll be able to list all your future products (that you’re selling under that brand) under your brand without going through the approval process again. I explain how to do that in the video.

I’m going to sell the product under my brand and supplier is okay with it and will customize my logo. Is there any down side to it or would it be recommended? You’re welcome. You need to do proper product research to validate a product idea to be certain that it’s viable and can be profitable. You also need to differentiate so you’re not selling the same thing as everyone else, otherwise you’re only competing on price and you never want to that. Ya, don't list it under generic. It creates a bunch of issues and hassles you're going to have to deal with on an ongoing basis, it's not worth it. Just buy a UPC barcode: th-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/w-d-xo.html

When you register your trademark, you can prevent third parties from using your name or a name similar to it to sell goods or offer services. If you don't register your trademark, then someone else can come and list with same brand name? I want to understand how only brand approval can prevent other sellers to use your brand name?

No, you do not. If you have separate accounts in different marketplaces, then yes, you do. You can contact Brand Registry support to help you get approved on the other marketplaces/accounts.

Yes. However, I don't understand why you would want to do that. You should build your brand.

You can't change it from an exemption to a GTIN in the future. Always get a UPC from the start, you'll avoid a bunch of headaches.

Hello, I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I assume you’re selling all of your POD products under your own brand/label. So get brand approval for your brand and you’ll be able to list all your future products (that you’re selling under that brand) under your brand without going through the approval process again. I explain how to do that in the video.

You’re welcome. You need to do proper product research to validate a product idea to be certain that it’s viable and can be profitable. You also need to differentiate so you’re not selling the same thing as everyone else, otherwise you’re only competing on price and you never want to that. You can't complete the listing if you're trying to get brand approval, it won't let you use the brand you entered.

Print one at home, cut it out and glue it on the entire side of the box so it looks real and not a sticker/label.
